the onboard sound is incredible! Absolutely nailed it! First time i've heard a car from a sim that sounds identical to real life. Can't stress how much more enjoyable this makes driving the car.
After 30 laps I just can say: Congratulations The nearest possible simulation of a Formula 1 for open public. What will Race Sim Studio and Assetto Corsa 2 bring us?
This is the first time I’ve ever heard practically identical onboard engine sounds by any developer! It provides a MUCH more immersive experience. This is an easy purchase for me for that reason alone. But that begs the question to you guys, since you’ve done so well with Mercedes’ and Ferrari will you provide a Renault and Honda engine sound in the future? I don’t think you realize how much this would be appreciated!
@@fqeagles21 Sim Dream shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as RSS or VRC. Sim Dream are stealing their models and physics from all over the place and their quality is absolutely terrible. Don't ever buy anything from them. If you wanna drive a F1 2022 car get the VRC or RSS car, ideally get both so you get some variety. Sim Dream should be avoided at all costs, they shouldn't even be in the Simracing business at all, but sadly many people don't know better and still support them.

I was very excited about this release, and I'm mostly satisfied with it, but there are a few issues that really need to be worked out. The first and most obvious is how much more it makes my wheel shake and rattle than every other car I've ever driven in Assetto Corsa, including the Formula Hybrid Evo. I tried on multiple tracks and it's always the same. Maybe this is just the first car in Assetto Corsa that has accurate feedback and all the others have got it wrong, but I had to turn my wheel down to 50% and it was still a little too much in some sections of the track. I'll probably have to settle at around 35-40% for just this car and bump it back up to 100% for every other car. The other issues I've noticed are with the steering wheel. For some reason I occasionally see numbers slightly bleeding through the bottom right corner of it. They look like a clock or time display of some sort, but I can only make out parts of some of the numbers, and they only appear sometimes. The other problem is with the tachometer lights. I haven't tried racing at night yet, but during the day they're completely invisible. I can see that there are colour differences in the display, but it's like the bulbs used to light them up are burnt out, because they don't light up at all, or at least not brightly enough that I can see a difference. But I play only in VR, so it is possible neither of these issues exist when playing on a monitor.
Uploading a vid on my channel as I type this, took it for a spin round Silverstone in my home built motion rig, come check it out! Bloody fantastic mod as always guys, well done!
Has anyone had issues with the game dropping out back to menu screen when loading the hybrid car and track? I select and launch ok. I see RSS loading screen, black screen with the ac logo but goes back to menu instead of putting me on the track.
Great work guys, instantly bought it :) Is there any specific details on the difference between the 2022 and the 2022 S? I know the blog said difference in sounds but is that it?
They've never released any skins as far as I know. But there are already a few that have been uploaded to Race Department, and it shouldn't be long before they're all there.
The Hybrid X / Evo was basically a concept or the original new regulations, with the performance expected back in the days. The new one has a much closer design to the actual cars and is also much closer in performance.
The car is perfect in every way except for the steering wheel. it looks nothing like a real F1 wheel. I get that you have a deal with the guys that make the steering wheel, but id happily pay more for a car that has something similar to the real cars.

This is the reason I decided to hold off on f1 22. Looks like I made the right choice!
Sure did. F1 22 sucks in its current state anyways and 8s way overpriced

Both cars are absolutely great, they feel both perfect!! Is it possibly that the tyres get some air buubles with time? or some damage on the outside?
