I have one that looks identical. A 2019 LT. But mine has the V6, leather seats, and panoramic sunroof. Honestly, I bought the car primarily for its understated looks. I like having something forgettable rather than more pretentious like a Dodge Charger or Chrysler 300. The other main thing that attracted me to this car was the price. Mine was an ex-rental with only 12,500 km (7500 miles) and was only 9 months old.. but was over $19,000CAD less than the sticker price of $42,500CAD. Sure, nobody pays sticker for GM.. but the new 2020s are still being listed for $36K with no sunroof. I probably could have got it for even less if I waited another month or two. And for that price with that year and miles there was nothing comparable. Small or bare bones four cylinder FWD SUVs or compact cars. The V6 is definitely the way to go. It’s absolutely effortless. No downshifts required for all but the hardest acceleration. Cruises at 140km all day. At 100km/h the engine is barely idling at 1600 RPM. On the highway with quite a bit of speeding and lots of two lane passes I averaged 8.6l/100 km which is solidly 27 MPG. I also found it to be very comfortable. Maybe it’s because this is the first newish car I’ve actually owned and most of my cars have been compacts. The only car comparable was my old Volvo 740. The leather seats might help too. The interior does take some getting used to but I like it a lot more than my 2018 Civic. A lot more physical controls for the infotainment and climate control and in general things are better laid out.. if a bit ostentatious. It’s funny because the steering wheel was the very first thing I noticed about the car too and I thought it was hideous. But it’s grown on me. I like it better than the one in my Civic with its rock hard and sticky buttons and weird layout. Having the volume and seek buttons on the back is genius. Thanks for the objective review. You don’t see too many of them.
Thank you. Not many people can be truly objective about a car they own or like. I own an older Impala and have driven 3 of the newer ones. The other two I drove were the v6 premier and they were so much nicer and I gave them a much nicer review overall. If you look through the recent videos there is a 2020 red Impala, a 2010 red Impala video that is my own, and a comparison video of the two also. Thanks for watching
I will only buy the 4 cylinders, not the v6. Yes, middle-size cars have better mpg, but they do not come with the rear legroom and the larger trunk size. The 4-cylinder is perfect for a family car, and it is fast enough. I never feel my 157 hp, 3100lbs 2002 Camry 4 cylinder slow, and the 4-cyl Impala even comes with a slightly better hp/lb ratio. I do every work on my cars. I hate to work on V6 cars since they are usually cramped to such as extent that it is a pain to change spark plugs and valve cover gasket on the bank close to the windshield. This is the case with my 06 Fusion V6. I will only buy v6 or v8 for large SUVs or trucks when the larger engines are definitely indispensable.
There is a huge difference between a camry 4 cyl and a impala 4cyl. And I've driven both. This car is not sufficient with a 4 cyl in it. The Camry on the other hand is
@@LawsonsCarReviews I have never driven an impala 2.5 liter. However, by the numbers, the Impala 2.5 has more power to weight ratio than my 02 Camry 4 cyl, which is the case for 196 hp/3700 lb to 157 hp/3100lb. Moreover, the impala also has the edge in the 0-60 time (8.2s vs 8.6s). I have never felt my 02 Camry 4 cyl is slow, but I felt the sluggishness from a 2003 Civic EX (127hp, 2700 lb). I guess it is hard to judge how adequate the impala 2.5 is without actually test driving it on highway accelerations.
Lolololol this comment was funny. Remember this is the 4cyl not the V6. So it is really really really slow. Check out my other review of the V6 Impala sand you'll see a huge difference in my opinion. Plus don't forget I own an Impala too!
The average car for the average passenger. It will take you where you need to go and return to point a. Nice car overall but most people would prefer the v6 motor. That is my opinion.
Was last year of full options. I got one with V6, glad I did. The 2020 was limited and only 1/2 yr production. If you think the design is blah, check out the previous generation. Way better than the Maxima. Terrible, terrible terrible, hideous, partial hardly.
@@LawsonsCarReviews I don't hate the Maxima. Nissan is a lesser quality car company along with Mazda, Kia and Hyundai. When I was shopping for a car for my wife a few yrs back, we skipped those 4 brands since we hold onto cars longer than most. We shopped Toyota, Honda, Subaru, VW and Chevy and ended up getting a Forester. TMI Right?
My friend i own an impala myself. And i have driven at least 10 of them at this point. I was on point with everything i said at the time for the 4 cylinder engine and base interior. However the loaded V6 is a whole other story! Stay tuned for the loaded LTZ coming up...

I'm looking for one LT 4 cylinder now. For me, is beautiful car. Fabulous sedan design. By the way, the steering wheel is gorgeous.
Tell me you're lying?
Did you get one?
The first thing I noticed about the car when I first looked at one was the steering wheel.
But I bought a 2019 LT with a V6 and it’s grown on me.
The steering wheel is okay, but very functional. You can see everything on cockpit dash thru the top opening.
Yes but hella ugly lol
Nice car..love it
Do you like this Impala or the higher spec LTZ?
I just bought one today. I like the design because I like basic and I only buy silver cars
I have another review coming of one just like it but bigger engine and it had the nice seats etc. Made a world of difference. PS i own an Impala also.
Check out the lastest two Impala videos
I love these cars
I usually do but not this 4cyl version

Thank you for being objective and not a fan boy. More reviews should be that way
Thanks. I wish more people felt that way lol. I think I make people mad when I say negative things about a car even if it's true!
@@LawsonsCarReviews keep it up
Thanks
Amen to that
he really finna diss that impala speed like its a race car and the whell aint ugly

agreed. Drives very smooth, but the v6 or more premium model is so much nicer!

I don't like this one but I love the premier. The details make all the difference
@@LawsonsCarReviews you could have got the LT with V6 if purchased, by the way the seats are pleather with fabric center.
Why you hate the maxima so much lol

How many years ago was that????
Any problems with the transmission or electrical problems?
Not sure you'd have to check some forums about that. But I've heard of summer of these having a problems
Are those halogens in that price point??
Sorry what do you mean exactly
Yup they are
Your overall review about this car is terribly shit, The car is a great car. I’ll buy one within a blink of an eye.

This car seems kinda average but not terrible
I have an older Impala. Loaded but much nicer than this brand new one
Cap
I got the same exact car 2018 v6 black leather interior no v6 take the fun out😂
The v6 makes all the difference
The car looks OK but kinda cheap looking in many ways. Do you really hate it that much bro?
I do hate this one i drove. I have driven others that are cool
Not my favorite impala but it's OK
It's very average. Seats were horrible
Man u hate this car ha ha
I dont hate all Impalas, just this one. to make it clear
