PA was always my favorite even in dota 1. Trying to get back to dota 2 after 5 years of not playing and this guide was pretty neat. More power to you, sir
To summarize my experience I pick veiled one when there are more squishy enemy heroes or ganking heroes on the other hand I pick methodical when enemy heroes are tanky
not being to do 2 or 3 crits a roll sucks for PA especially in later game where it is the most needed. Met facet is an early game facet because it allows PA to come online with less item in the early stages allowing her to fight early because of the higher crit damage. But this facet will cause u to lose game as PA in late game where 1 crit is not enough and ur BKB duration is low.
That is not how game works, If you have a lead as PA and got that because of Metodical it is a snowball effect of making the late game easier for her. Not the oposit, you slowing yourself down and making it only possible to play lategame fights relaying on luck is only needed when you are behind and that is when PA struggles, not worth of structuring your gameplay around that if you want to play PA.
Been playing PA with your guides for a month or so since coming back to dota. She was always a fun carry to play. I really like this new PA moveset. TY for all your guide work sir!
stay long is pretty weird tactic for pa if pa kills 2 supports fast then almost every other enemy is not problem to her thats why deso is still good for burst down supps and lov hp heroes
I’m so thankful for your guides and explanations. I’m a very new player (>500 hours) and I’d really be lost without your guides/ videos .Thank you so much.
I was experimenting with the mealstorm+deso+bkb, 8/10 games won just by coming online much earlier and stacking deso in early tf, then getting a bkb and steamrolling the game
I think kanda is also fit with this facet .when you dont have a %chance crit and you want to dagger before jump but for sure kanda is not early item fo pa
PA is too starved for item slot. I don't see how you can fit khanda in. Battlefury, threads, bkb, sny/manta, abyssal, satanic and probably nullifier She needs more sustain to stay in fight now so satanic is kind of necessary. Certain game where you can't jump in, khanda might be decent but khanda been considered kinda underwhelming ever since they change brooch
Veil is better becase it decreased your odds of getting ganked when farming lanes mid game. If the enemy team does not gank you, then you will crush them just fine with plenty of damage with veil.
Nah second facet is better overall farming killing its just so ez just people’s 2nd item building is wrong just go bf bkb straight and manta 3rd or sny then go for basher you will 1 shot any hero
I chose veil if they have sb, nyx or clinkz. I find it easy to openly farm the lanes (while on blur) because they are unable to target skill me even after hitting creeps on the lane.
SnY and Manta will be very dependent on the situation, if they have a lot of CC chains SnY will probide more survivability and cc reduction while manta will provide u dispels from slows, silence, etc. but it wil still up to you as TdL says it's a more safe build
My two biggest issues with playing PA is that she’s completely reliant on BKB being up to teamfight and she doesn’t hit towers well. And when the enemy team starts getting mkb, eblade, blademail etc the game becomes really hard. And she’s also not a great laner. The “ideal” PA game is to get a few kills in lane, get a fast Bfury timing, disappear into jungle for 10 mins, farm deso and BKB and then immediately group with your team and try to end the game. If it goes super late you’re probably not going to win
I feel like you should make it more clear that Veiled One has higher winrate even if Methodical is picked more. It is great to examine this playstyle and introduce it to people but I think it's a stretch to say Veiled One is incorrect.
Veiled One has 1% higher winrate than Methodical and is being picked 3500 less times (17%) than Methodical (83%) in just the past 8 days. It is not better at all. Lastly, it is common knowledge that the higher the pickrate, the lower the winrate. That doesn't mean it is a worse facet, it means it has a stronger average of outcomes.
Another "guide" for pa :D Dude, I have shown 45% winrate from dota2protracker for methodical aspect. I believe that ppl higher 8k mmr know how to play pa, but even them cannot overplay "veiled one" aspect. Because methodical is just worse. It's like you always have the worst crit chance.
I kinda understand why ppl like methodical but honesty I have over 150 games on PA and there's nothing that can make me think methodical is a better facet than the blur one.
Bruh, it is situational. Methodological is better when you have allies with aspd buff like ogre and invoker, and become better in late game. Pretty sure he have played PA more than you do.
Methodical requires : better positioning and timing. Maybe a bit less damage from items because your ult has higher critdamage % but now you have to get attack speed items. Mask of madness and treads should be mentioned specifically because some PA players tend to get phase boots instead. MoM on the other hand resolves PAs issues with sustain and damage early in the game and you can disassemble them to fury and later on satanic. Wraith bands also become more useful in mid game because they scale and give you the AS you need for cheap. You can even skip fury if you are really owning and just go straight assault quirass or bloodthorn if they have slippery heroes in their line up. Bkb is still a staple. Veiled one requires: nothing different interms of item build, decision making etc. The blur improvement tho can be synergized with vision blocking offlanes such as Mars and NS. You will take advantage of how easy it is to confuse your enemies when their vision is reduced. Mars /NS will target a different enemy while you target other heroes that cannot see their allies. This is less advantageous the higher the rank is because people are more level headed as they get better. TLDR: Methodical requires high level game play while veiled one is beginner friendly. The problem here is that methodical doesn't really allow you to steam roll pubs like smurf invos or meepos do. So the question is, is the increased complexity of the kit worth it ? I don't think so. It adds spice to the kit but it's not worth it. You will encounter a completely different scenario each game, different problems to think about. you don't want a more complex hero to add to the mental strain.
Classic PA has a neat trick up her sleeve: random dagger, especially from lvl 25 talent oneshotting poor support from fog of war

To summarize my experience
I pick veiled one when there are more squishy enemy heroes or ganking heroes
on the other hand I pick methodical when enemy heroes are tanky
I dont get how the blur sometimes goes away so fast and sometimes stays for the longest time even though im in front of her and cant cast shit on her
Both facets are cool, depends on your lineup and more importantly- enemy. Dota is all about adapting, but definitely prefer methodical

The best thing about this Methodological facet is the fact that Tormentors are counted as non-hero so this means you easily kills it for your team

In 7.37 her evasion is now breakable, but the rest of this video still applies. Good stuff!
dude sorry to *break* it for you but its always been breakable
@@miufke_ not when innates were introduced. It was a bug, as well as many other innates of other heroes.

I think for methodical vladimir + armlet + pt is better start than bf + pt

@Newbtuber agree for that opinion. I just have try that khanda build it has problems like you said . It nice to have someone to discuss with ty 😊
I think Methodical doesn’t work in hard game where u can’t continuously hit, but you may buy daedalus or khanda to have some lucky crits.
just tried methodical and i think it has potential.
you can even go mask of madness on it for burst if your teammates have lockdown. cool stuff.
Try mealstorm insted of battlefury, you be online much faster for teamfights
I won like 8/10 games with mealstorm+deso+bkb
Stacking deso early on and steamrolling the game
i cant believe i axtually found your youtube channel. i always use your giudes in dota 2!!

you deserve way more attention.
great video as always!
I appreciate that! share the videos ♥️
there is one thing in the early-mid game is lifesteal ability
Removed from blink strike
@@ifernclownerellayt3522 so PA need to buy mobid mask or get neutral item that have lifesteal
Is Methodical manta illu stackable?
No
i think you are out of date with the silver edge take because now silver edge affects innate abilities too.
I mean the video is old

One of them
2 sources of Yasha do not stack so only choose one depending on the game.
I hope everyone that flame when 7.36 out because i pick metho, watch this video
how would you lose if you have 295 last hits with 16 kills in 27 min (: top 1 or maybe far better than them networth nd skills u got
The first mistake is picking phantom assassin
What’s Torte de Lini’s mmr?

methodical feels like dota 1 pa
Funny ALL PA players i face still use blur and ALL lose to me each time
Veiled ones will always be better

faster timing, less reliant on items, less reliant on rng, more reliable during late game... that's methodical pa
