    What a blessing that you went to the doctor and not try and ignore the symptoms. So many times we as women worry about others and not ourselves. Thank you for sharing your story, many women will be helped if they go through a similar situation. Congratulations to you and your husband, on your handsome baby boy, adding to you guys beautiful family.

    I'm so glad this medical scare didn't turn into something worse. I'm glad you're on the path towards healing. I know what it's like to suddenly lose a mother at a fairly young age so this story was particularly touching to me. What a blessing that you're now a mother of 3. I remember when you had JUST moved to Namibia. It's amazing how time flies. Anyways it's always great getting a life update from you. Until next time wishing you a healthy life.

    When you began describing the symptoms, I immediately thought it sounds like a pulmonary embolism. My grandfather died at 45 years old from a pulmonary embolism. His was due to being in a diabetic coma for a month a therefore not ambulating. His started as a DVT in the leg and traveled into the lung. I’m so happy you followed your gut. So many people do not. 🙏🏾

    • @AfroAmericaninAfrica
      @AfroAmericaninAfrica  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, the symptoms are so easy to brush off!!! They’re tricky and that’s whats also so frightening and dangerous about them! So sorry about your grandfather; 45 is very young! 😞 Thank you for sharing his story ❤️ and for watching! 💗

    So glad you didn't ignore those symptoms and even more glad that you have trusted medical professionals! I had a Jamaican friend tell me when I told her I wanted 10 kids, "Kids take life from you. Have 2 and sit down." LOL I laughed so hard because she was sharing serious wisdom. Giving life does take a little from you but its worth it. I can't wait to be a mom and I'd like 4 instead of 10 LOL. I wondered why did you chose to have a C-section instead of a natural birth?

    Hi Kaylan. I would just like to offer you some hope and tell you that you will be just fine. I also suffered multiple blood clots on my lungs and had heart failure right after my c-section in 2019 here in Windhoek. The worst part of all of it for me was that I could not breastfeed and that broke me more than my diagnoses. I am glad you and baby are both fine, and that you listened to your body. I too thought it was exhaustion and brushed it off and if it hadn't been for my doctor friend who convinced me to go to the emergency ward, I would have probably never went.
