    Really good video, man.
It's certainly not glamorous and fun, we all know it, but becoming familiar with primitive shapes, knowing how to project them into two-dimensional space, rotating and modifying them is certainly the first step in getting to drawing anything better.
I'm a big fan of yours, Sergey. I started using Krita because of you a long time ago and have been using it ever since.
I hope you can produce videos more often and with the same quality as ever.
And I'm sorry if I made a grammatical mistake or any typo. Still learning english :>

Thanks a lot! It definitely helps in many ways. For me, I always struggle with figure drawings and primitives help me to imagine the body in 3d space.
I hope I will be able to make more videos as well. It is quite time consuming, taking into account that producing art is pretty slow by its nature. But I'll do my best!
Krita is amazing btw. I had to draw something in photoshop recently... and it was painful for me after using Krita for so many years.
As you can tell, I'm no expert in English as well. lol But we'll become better for sure!

One thing you're not taking into account with this approach where you first start with primitives then slowly build up to the more complex shapes is that it's incredibly boring to do.
I don't think any artist ever started by doing those exercises first.
People usually have something that they enjoy drawing. Then, alongside those drawings, you can incorporate specific studies such as primitives etc...
No one should underestimate the importance of fun, especially if you are just beginning.
If you begin like this, you're likely to get bored with it and quit before you actually develop a habit out of it.

Yeah, that's totally correct. Motivation is a difficult topic and, honestly, there is no solution that fits everybody. Every person is different and everyone should work on self-motivation in a unique way.
Someone likes to grind, so he/she will draw boxes even more than necessary, another person can enjoy when he/she sees the progress and it will motivate him/her.
Balance is crucial in order to do it long-term. But on the other hand, if you only do "cool stuff" you have a chance to be stuck on the same level and developing bad habits (like I did) which are pretty hard to get rid of since those are neural connections in your brain which have been developing for years. It's better to avoid that and draw boring stuff for small amount of time.

@@PolyPaint I agree. And I understand the need for having a bombastic title for videos. However, I feel that there could have been more nuance in the video itself and perhaps it would be great if you mentioned these things that you mentioned just now.
But yeah, I hope you continue to make videos and I really appreciate your art.

@@Walter5850 Thanks for your feedback! I'm learning youtube right now as well and your comments are really appreciated.
Regarding the nuance, you are right, I definitely didn't think about it this way before you mentioned it because in my case it's been a while since I learned this stuff myself and I completely forgot how frustrating it could be for the beginner. I will definitely do more videos and hopefully cover more psychological struggles of an artists as well. Thanks a lot!
