The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U video game consoles. @Chase Millien I recommend the flooded forest behind Kakariko village ( towards Mipha) or the rainforest/ tropical area on the outskirts of the right side of the map. The first one one easy guardian and the second area has a few more. Easy to hunt and grind, all have a chance of dropping big cores. If you want small cores, hunt the drones around Akkala tower

If you save the game after you kill an enemy the enemy will still be dead when you die from something else, thats how I completed it easily
Joey this isn’t true. Enemies instantly respawn when you die during the challenges. Perhaps they patched it after you did it.

Dude... my first go, I literally was like "oh this is so easy!" I killed almost all the enemies no problem and then just awkwardly backed into a spike and died lmao
There were like defensive spikes and it actually killed me. That little bokoblin who sharpened those sticks deserves a raise!

Haha first I died by keese then bees then bocolbin then lizalfoes then I backed myself into a spike I had no idea about and lots of spikes and I haven't beaten the spikes shrine yet but I began today and I need a brake cause it's killing me inside with frustration

When i was fighting Keese i just shot them with bomb arrows with the great eagle bow. It’s the best strat for killing Keese my opinion.
So interesting thing, it's commonly accepted that food doesn't help during this, because the health it restores will just get sapped away. HOWEVER, though said health is drained quickly, it's not instant.
If you heal enough health, right before you take damage, you'll take the damage BEFORE you get fully drained down to 1/4 heart,
Allowing you to survive, because the health drain automatically stops at 1/4 heart.
Honestly the Major Test of Strength+ was my favorite part of the challenge, I had thought to myself " Nooo, it can't be that simple..."

It was/is eay if you know when you have to dodge the guardian-attack. But the perfect dodge/flurry rush is very easy to perform on the guardians.

Yes this game is great for teaching thinking outside the box, unlike American schools where you're just talk to memorize and no longer are taught to think for yourself and you never allowed to think outside the box anymore

I didn’t use the mask. It was really fun to think of ways to ambush the base! I want more trials like these.
MrPokeplayer I agree, I enjoyed sneaking up on the enemy bases. Using the mask is boring and it makes the game less fun. I really only use it when I’m trying to quickly get through an area without any enemies inconveniencing me, but this trial is just so much more fun without the mask.

Yeah, it let me use bows. Bows and Stasis are your best friends, whether in normal mode or Master Mode, lol. It just took a few deaths to figure out

At 5:45 there is a way to make a good amount of them stop. The first ball is on a normal rope, so you can cut that down with arrows (Stasis helps a bunch). Then freeze one of the balls then there is only one that is a threat. Hope this helps.

my first death was when i tried to windbomb and just instantly died lmao
On the fourth one another strat that I used is the one hit obliterator. They all are looking outwards, so you just sneakstrike all of them while their backs are turned. It looks intimidating but no enemy seems to figure out you're killing their friends even if they're right by them lol
The spiky metal balls are hanging from 2 chains (2nd and 3rd) but the first one is hanging from a rope, so you can shoot it and use stasis on the last one, making the fly waaay easier.
Juan José Del Pino Rivas theres an easier way. Youve got 3 swinging spike balls in front of you, thr trick is to time your jump not for the first or 3rd spike balls but the 2nd. Wait for the 2nd one to seing all the way to the right, once it bounces off the wall, jump and stay completely straight to the other side. Youll make it every time.
Alexander Sean, That’s not easy, let alone “Actually easier”, if you said it was an alternative way, that would’ve been better.
5:45 Tip: You can cut off one of the wrecking balls with an arrow and use stasis on one of the others.
My strategy was to just ancient everything even red bokoblins.

In the first room with the many balls I ended up picking out the metal balls using magnesis and laying them aside so they don't respawn. Then use the bowl to fish out the normal balls and walk up without any threat
5:50 at the giant metal swinging balls of death the first one is connected by a rope, you can cut that with an arrow and then use stasis on the second/third one

For the area packed with Lizalfoses, I made sure to use Ancient Arrows. They were a lifesaver. Also wearing Sheikah Armor at least at Level 2 helps immensely. Stealth food also makes walking about easier. I kept dying a lot here until I tried this strategy out. As for a bow to use, Phrenic Bows and Golden Bows are welcome here. Savage Lynel Bows (32*3 or 32*5) also work.
At 5:42 you can cut the first ball with an arrow, it is attached with a rope, the other two are attached with a chain, I used stasis on one of them and went around the second one

@Austin John Plays When you get to the room with the 3 spiked balls, just shoot the first one down with an arrow, its a regular rope. The other two have chainlinks so you just stasis one of them, so you only have to avoid one of them.
This is the one giving me the most problems. Everything else was cake
You should wear Champion's Tunic with Majora's Mask. Then it's easy to find the enemies.

Here is what I don't understand. I normally like to carry a Golden Bow or a Phrenic Bow with me at all times for sniping and precision because they have a longer range and more accuracy. My question is, why doesn't anyone else do that? You could do this whole area almost without being detected because of that. Just get to a high place, have a lot of arrows, find some easy targets, and snipe like there's no tomorrow. That's what I do.
I actually did the same when i found a phrenic bow on top of the big tree trunk in a chest by the first shrine and then another same bow in that first shrine xD i used both for the whole challenge
The Ancient bow is basically the same, but more damage.
Actually, it just let's you zoom in more, it doesn't have more range. The Ancient Bow has the longest range in the game. You can fire your arrows really far without them dropping mid flight.
Same I always carry a golden or phrenic bow for sniping, especially for getting any dragon materials it's so much more accurate
I was lucky enough to get the phrenic bow with attack up 11
For those in master mode, majoras mask is a must for this challenge. Pick the enemies off one by one.

ive just recently beat the game and wanted to tackle some quests, so i bought the DLC, completed almost all of the shrine quests, the side quests, got all the memories and stuff, but i was having trouble with the champion's ballad DLC.
your vids on the champion's ballad DLC (the guides on where to find all the shrines) has helped me and my friends out alot and i just wanna say thanks bro

On the swinging metal balls u can shoot the ROPE on the first one and it falls and then stasis one so u only have one to dodge

Just beat it on Master Mode. One the the things I realized is that it's better to get the attention of individuals. On to the 4 Guardian Shrines. Thank you Austin John!
The One Hit Obliterator recharges just like elemental weapons which if fairly quick thus allowing the one hit use more often but over all use arrows. I used mainly arrows on the low level enemies and one hit the bigger enemies
Great vid as always Austin. I'd already completed this and Mipha's by the time I watched. A point about those giant swinging spiked balls you flew around, the first one you can cut the rope with an arrow, I then used Stasis on the far one and that way just had to parasail around the middle one. I made life a lot easier, I died a load of times until I worked that out.
also, for the spiky balls, the first one, use an arrow on the string that knocks it down, second one stasis it, (upgreade stasis for better results) and just time ur fly so that the third one does not hit u

For the giant metal swingy balls, you can actually get rid of the first one by shooting the string holding it up (the other two have chains though)
Jayfeather430 you can also stasis one of the remaining spike balls, leaving just one to avoid while gliding
Best Strategy: suffer through the first two battles and shrines then realize that you can save in this area
austin: your royal bows and savage lynel bows are gonna be useful. me: you mean my single boko bow and 5 arrows?
I've finished the entire dlc and and it seems the one hit challenge is forevermore locked... does anybody know if it can be reactivated?... even if you can't freeroam... at least let us use it more than once....

omega5040 i did it in Master Mode, the enemies are leveled up, but there are no new enemies, even the plateue lynel is missing during our obliterator escapade...

For the spiked metal balls in the second Shrine, the closest one has a rope that can be broken with an arrow, so use stasis on the ball and cut the rope. Wait for stasis to recharge, then wait for the second one to be far at the sides, then use stasis on it. You can’t do anything for the third one, but that’s easily avoidable.
I'm going to do this finally after so many years as I just purchased the DLC. I laughed when at the last part you just mentioned Ravioli like we just collectively forgot what his real name is 😂
haha my strategy was to just kill everyone from high grounds while saving every 3 seconds 😂 those Phrenic bows really came in handy because they have more of a precise aim to snipe everyone out.. lol i wasn’t about to chance being killed by going down and having a bunch coming at me, i don’t do well under pressure 😂

I used Majoras Mask, and it worked PERFECTLY
I got through 3 of them first try (I didn’t think to use it on the first one)
It was very useful, ESPECIALLY for the Lazalfos.
Sadly I caved in and used 3 ancient arrows for the moblins because I didn’t feel comfortable versing them.
I mostly did sneaky tactics, and that helped me a lot.
I used all the opportunities with the updrafts caused by the fire.
Oh man, I didn't think about ancient arrowing them OR saving constantly. OR using Majora's Mask 😭

For that second shrine, there’s a little easier way to beat the swinging metal balls. Stasis the first one and cut the rope with an arrow and it will fall. Stasis the second one at the peak of its swing so you will only have to worry about the last ball. Just dodge around the last one and you win!

Everybody Contact Nintendo.... this DLC Needs to be updated... most notably, the ancient saddle will not summon your horse in certain areas which it is clearly allowed to go through... and they need to fix the spawn of the horse... when its spawned, it is facing you, and this is very inconvenient especially when our bike can be summoned, hop on, and just drive.... our horse should be able to face the right way too... and the spawn boundaries really need to be fixed
thats not it tho. theres 107 unique armor, and only 100 slots. if u want to have all the armor, its genuinely impossible

How to do Things Joe does, that’s for sure.
The programmers actually planned for this and allowed you to purchase the "rare" armor from Grante in the completed Tarrey Town. The real glitch however, is if you have kept the BotW game open for extended hours without closing or restarting. The game has two main glitches, either the blood moon will happen at any time of the day or night (over and over again) OR during the Obliterator challenge you won't be able to see the shrines erect from the ground. You won't even hear the completion sound when you kill all the enemies in the four areas.
Stephen Harvey u do realise that when u call a horse it runs towards you and stops when it gets near you, therefore making it face you.
The teleporting of the horse is the exact same.

It'dve been hard to miss with fans hype for Post-game-content raging everywhere BotW was being talked about, so it's still disappointing that if that was never their intention, they didnt warn us or clarify what they meant.

I feel like the ancient bow and arrows are better since 1. They kill anything in one hit 2. You don't run the risk of killing yourself 3. The ancient bow fires in a straight line

Before you do this get the Ancient Armor for your horse, you can call for your horse, it'll teleport to you, and from there just ride around spamming attack!
