The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U video game consoles. It is the 19th main installment in the The Legend of Zelda series. The story is set in Hyrule and follows amnesiac protagonist Link, who awakens from a 100-year slumber to a mysterious voice that guides him to defeat Calamity Ganon.
The title's gameplay and mechanics constitute a departure from the series' conventions, featuring an open-world environment, a detailed physics engine, high-definition visuals, voice acting, and the ability to play through the game's dungeons in any order. Here's why you didn't calculate 200;
1. When you jump attack and miss, the hit against the ground counts as a hit and lowers durability.
2. Rocks and Trees do double damage to your weapons unless they are a hammer or axe respectively.

He does count the jump slashes that miss as one and rocks and trees you hit I’m pretty sure don’t double durability.

Cubetendo if you hit a rock or tree with low durability, it takes three hits to be broken. If you hit an enemy three times with low durability, it also breaks. Is that convincing enough?

When it is out of energy if you go to ganon’s fight it’s gonna be recharged immediately, because if you had the master sword and go to ganon fight with a different weapon then it will turn to the master sword

This makes the Master Sword a very nice weapon to use if you're out of Royal or Savage Lynel weapons.
It still only works as a back-up late-game, but unless you can beat Trial of the Sword early-game by rushing to get the Master Sword, it's not broken. In fact, I'd say if you're good enough to do that, it's more than a fitting reward.
Its equal in damage to the highest royal sword. And royal guard/savage lynel swords break so often that I don’t even bother wasting an inventory slot with them unless they have a huge damage boost
its what I did, and yes its a well earned reward to beat the trials at just 13 hearts and stock stamina. Next game I hope it cant break

I think the trials of the sword is a great way to test your skills, making you not dependent on things like mipha's Grace and daruk's protection for fights and realise that the runes can be good for fighting as well. #z21

The Master Sword, also known as the Blade of Evil's Bane, the Legendary Sword, the Master Sword of Resurrection and the Sword that Seals the Darkness, is a recurring legendary Sword in the The Legend of Zelda series. Originally crafted by the goddess Hylia as the Goddess Sword, it was later forged into the Master Sword by the Goddess's chosen hero and its spirit, Fi, who bathed it in the three Sacred Flames located across the land that would become the Kingdom of Hyrule. Din's Flame in particular imbued the sword with the Power to Repel Evil, a power augmented after the Sword received the blessing of Zelda, which transformed the blade into the True Master Sword. It is usually the only Sword that can defeat Ganon in the games it appears in.

I recently beat the Trial of the Sword on Master Mode. Floor 10 on Beginner has 2 Silver Lizalfos that can wreck your shit if you're not careful.

I beat the game and got all 120 shrines in master mode and in normal mode, I completed trial of the sword in normal mode now in master mode its pretty much impossible 😑

Durability goes up more after its powered up state. It always had a bit more durability, but not perfect.

Zero The Assassin you can hope, but it won’t happen. Botw 2 is set in the past to stop the calamity before it happens to alter the future. The reason link has the master sword is because it before calamity and before the shrine of resurrection.

I used to think that the master sword was invincible in its glowing state, i thought i saw a change in durability...
But the master sword is one of the only weapons i use in hard mode, because i finished the trial of the sword, with it you can eat lynels for breakfast :)

Trail of the sword master mode was the most stress I ever had in this game but damn was it worth it for the full power sword. You do so much Dps.

Michael Krisztian-Terry ye get all the shrines before it trust me it will save your life to have all the hearts and stamina you can
stamina is not as important as health. Sure, stamina speeds up the process and you can fill you hearts before the trial with yellow hearts, but if I would not have all shrines already, I would before hearths over stamina. (which is my default anyway, coming from previous Zelda games)
Intermediate has a lot of flying and bow usage so stamina is very important
Henry Stokes I only had 3 stamina upgrades for the middle trials
Michael Krisztian-Terry I tried using his strategy for the final part, worked really well.
Kleric did a hard count by just hitting the Master Cycle over and over. He counted 188.
mastersword beam is one third power and durability so if you just go around beaming everything it lasts for a good long time
Sword beam on the fully powered Master Sword doesn't affect durability at all. Attack power is still only a third, so 20 points, but can be used infinitely provided you have full health.
@@InhabitantOfOddworld it definitely did affect the durability, at least before the powered up state. It happened to me countless times, powering down and recharging due to a sword beam.

I never used the default state much - I had the DLC and did the master trials right after getting the sword. But as far as I can see, game guides confirm that the fully powered (blue glow) master sword can use sword beam infinitely.

I really like the challenge that the Trial of the Sword brings. It is very difficult and also reminds me of that one island shrine in the bottom right corner, where it took all of your stuff and you had to fight the Blue Hinox with weak weapons and bombs. #z21

I also use the Master Sword for everything you’re not supposed to as well, if you ignore that it is kinda like a multi-tool knifes. Since you can use it to help light fires with flint, cut down trees, kill, mine for ore, mow a field, hunt, break open boxes and barrels, probably something I’m can’t think of at the moment. So how about calling a Swiss Army Sword instead?

If you transfer the durability of the Spring Loaded Hammer to the Awakened Master Sword it takes like 300 hits to break

I do not like that the trials gate the sword updates. If you can clear the trials you are already good enough to beat anything without the master sword anyway.
It is like being told to win a tough battle with a sword hilt to get the sword that fits the hilt as a reward

If the master sword does not break, Then, Nobody is ever going to use a different wearpon. (except elemental ones)
I wouldn't mind that, I hate durability as a whole, and the master sword in its powered up state is looks dope
Here are some things to note. 1) when you try to throw the sword at full health it shoots a beam so in its unpowered state using it removes durability but powered up it doesn’t. 2) the durability in its unpowered state is 40 powered up its still 40 _but_ it goes down in decimals so in reality it has a durability of about 118 when powered up. 3) it doesn’t suck butt :)

Nope. Once you break it, it's gone forever. And you can't get a new one.

the HP of the mastersword (Durability) attack varies. I saw you hitting wood, rocks, and enemies.
Normally, any given weapon has a set durability, example, Woodcutter's Axe at 1000 HP.
If you hit wood/trees with it, it -50 HP.
If you hit the ground with a jump attack, its -100HP
If you hit enemies with it, its -100HP each.

I've gone with the 188 figure because in that video all the hits are clearer cause it's on a rock so it would have been easier 2 count
I've done the maths and the master sword can do 11280 damage now.
But with an attack up level 3 it increases weapon damage by 50% 90x188=16980 !!!!!!
That's 3 sliver lynels a guardian and then get a decayed guardian down to 20 health.
This makes it better than any other weapon by a long shot
Explosion Games There is no true durability for it. I've tested it myself, it randomly retracts values of 0.1 or. 0.2 from the 40 Durability. The reason it's different for everyone is that it's random.
Even before the DLC, it was possible for the master sword to run out of energy inside a divine beast or during a guardian fight.
It was never unbreakable in it's awakened state, just insanely durable.
The Master Sword and the Hylian Shield are two things that should never break.
I'm guessing you haven't heard about the new exploit.... because of trial of the sword... you can instantly recharge the master sword so it never breaks again....

L. rex16 It was when you got the message “The Master Sword is running out of energy” then you teleported to the pedestal of the sword and start a trial in any level and then come back. The durability resets and you can do this at any given moment and you can use the travel medallion to go back to the spot you used to be. I think it got patched

trail of the sword was fun, I played the secret dungeons for ffxv and it was torture, the levels were repetitive and long and it wasn't even hard just time consuming, some developers confuse difficulty with annoyance giving enemies a million health and the player spams one button for hours to progress, Nintendo knows to make games fun and challenging and the trail of the sword was difficult yet incredibly fun, it took me back to the feeling I got at the beginning of the game, sort of like eventide island, but somehow a thousand times better and the reward is great and makes the challenge worth it. By the way #z21 gotta get that switch for my friend :p

same here. that secret dungeon was just long. but the legend of zelda breath of the wild omg love that game. i like both of em. final fantasy 15 and zelda breath of the wild. beating the sword is worth it. u get 60 attack power and longer Durability.
elticorico 9 I got really cocky during the final level in the final trials, I missed trying to shoot the lynel with an ancient arrow and my heart just started pounding. Then I shot it and didn't have an ancient arrow for the turret. The bokoblins on horseback got me shortly after.

Actually I prefer the Master Sword without the glow and noise.
I liked it looking and sounding like a sword, instead of just a huge thing. And it would glow only in Malice areas, because the NOISE GETS ANNOYING.
I love the stats, just hate the look.
