Herping 2018 Vipers and Smelly Snakes

Herping in Europe in April of 2018
So I finally managed to find my lifer Aspic Viper (Vipera aspis) but like I explain in the video didn't get much footage.
I also take you along and show you how go herping in Germany for Grass snakes (Natrix natrix) in Spring.
Catching wild snakes can be harder than it looks, especially if the snakes are fast and the grass is tall.

Cool vid. Those vipers eyes, just crazy looking. The grass snakes remind me of our garter snakes in CO that hang around ponds.
