The Love BAND-MAID got from fans in Seattle convinced MISA who was having second thoughts about her position in the band that she was in exactly the right place. Phew.😮
It actually wasn't this show which changed MISA's mind. I don't remember which venue, but it was their one-man show in Japan. The manager told MISA to wait till she experience the one-man show which was already shceduled. MISA watched enthusiastic faces of fans at the show and decided to stay with the band. The Seattle show was very important for all Maids because they felt passonate welcome from fans in US and it gave them great confidence in themselves.
Of all the band maid songs I love this one always makes me tear up I don't know why it's my all time favorite this was the song that made me fall in love with them
"Before Yesterday" is note-perfect, God-tier, mid-tempo hard rock. It is one of the dozens of hidden gems that exist in the Band-Maid back catalogue. I've listened to two hours of Band-Maid this morning and I'm going to listen to New Beginning and Brand New Maid ("Before Yesterday" is track 7) driving to and from work today. Both of those albums never fail to put me in a great mood. I don't need anti-depressants. I have Band-Maid.
This song is great. For some reason it has a nostalgia feeling .. like it took me back to my teen years. That footage was taken, I believe, from their concert in Seattle.. where they got a lot of love from the fans. I bet their U.S. tour next month will be even crazier for them… I know a lot of people are going to multiple cities to watch them. Plus I’m sure they will make new fans as well. I really want them to get big… they deserve it… they are better than 90% of the bands that get more attention.
Someone will probably post the link, but there is a video from the SakuraCon concert of all the Ladies introducing themselves. It is very nice, especially Miku's explaining she is a pigeon.
It's is a great clip...Miku with her enthusiasm and charm showing the language barrier is not a problem when you just give it your best pigeon!...KURUPO!!!
Whenever I see the footage in this video, I wonder why so many people still care so much what language the lyrics are in. These ladies deliver great performances with outstanding music you can have fun with, and they have tons of positive energy that is highly contagious even if you don't understand what they are saying word for word. I really like this song and this video, which indeed has quite a nostalgic feeling because of the images. And Queen Saiki kind of stands out here for me with her vocals. :) _____________________ 「 _'Our rock never dies ever. Forever!'_ 」 --- *BAND-MAID* 'Manners' 🕊
Ok, I did not see this before making the comment on the Knocking on your heart reaction lol. Those fractions are well known. Love your reactions 2 Gen, keep 'em coming!
Mate! Greetings after a 10-hour electricity and water blackout caused by the latest typhoon! This is a song to be cherished both as a great piece of "history" showing the when they were still still "fiery girls" before becoming "fiery women" and they raw talent they already had (concealed for the most part!)! They looked so young then, didn't they? Misa was still playing on a 4-string bass and Miku had only started the rhythmic guitar in earnest! Thank you so much for taking the tie to go through their repertoire! Best regards, Robert-Gilles
Yes, this song might be in my top five, as well. I think . . . There's a good 50 or so songs in my top 5. It's getting hard to keep track of them all. Fractions seems like a good idea. Maybe I should try the Dewy Decimal System? Index cards with thumb tacks and string on the wall? 😵💫
My Friend, this song has some emotions in it as MISA was considering to abandon the band but the reaction of the audience in Seattle and Mexico forced her to stay and continue with BAND MAID. In my opinion has some nostalgia on purpose. The world was close to the end and we didn't know it. I love this song and I know is going to be located in your TOP 5...millions
Love the beautiful sadness in this song. Combined with the awkward crap with the tulips and mannerisms they had to do for the camera, and didn't feel like doing at all.... I mean, just look at Misa with the tulip, if I ever saw a f*ck you, that's one... I see a band walking on the leash of a company, just waiting to burst free. It all makes sense somehow in hindsight.
As my good friend and fellow Maidiac Gary has related this was the band's first trip to the US and it convinced MISA that Band-Maid did have a future. Tulips courtesy of Pike Place Market in Seattle and grown in Puyallup, Washington. It is no secret to anyone that world domination depends upon dominating the states. Trust me. They will.
"world domination depends upon dominating the states"!!!!????...No it doesn't..sick of people thinking the US is the "Be All and End All" of success..and everything in general......ABBA...very little success in the US...just one no.1.. I believe.. even with singing in English!!!!..Yet became one of the most successful bands in history!.....People outside the US are more likely to love this band as they are more open to bands who do not speak in their native tongue because of the geographical closeness of other countries.
Might be in my top five songs by them. Thanks for doing something different. And not following every other reactor on You Tube. Covering the new song by them

Did you give @2GEN the decimal scoring system? He mentioned something about an "old geezer" so I started to ponder who that person may be.

Now that I know the story behind the MV, this song never fails to bring me to tears. What an amazing song.

This song always makes me feel nostalgic...I don't know why🙄
The ladies first US showing at SakurCon in Seattle. 2016 maybe?
Before Yesterday I was doing everything I am doing before tomorrow… listening and watching Band-Maid, of course! 🤣🤘 Thx, Dan!
😆cheers Tom 🍻

The average fan I don't think does !
Another great mid-tempo gem.
Very underrated song. Mid-tempo songs tend to be.
