An86 well yes so basically in the actual race therr will be traffic.... and people attempting to pass while trying to go faster than everyone else. i don't see how that's any less intense. this is nuts. exciting, but nuts.
+Firemarioflower tyre and fuel saving always existed. Even in refuelling so that they could run longer. Tyre saving was done before so that they wouldn't have to make a pit stop. That's why Prost was so good. He was better at managing the car than anyone and preserving fuel and tyres for the right time.
His driving style was always like that. It's insane how early he can floor the throttle and keep the car under control even when the rears are sliding like that. I don't understand how he tolerated so much oversteer.
Monaco fastest ever lap: Kimi Raikkonen 1:12:178 To all Kimi haters 🖕 He's 38 and scored a pole. Stop saying he should quit. Cause when he does leave, this sport will not be same.
Watching this from this camera really blows my mind. The speed that Kimi is carrying and how close he's getting to the barriers is crazy. There's no room for error. The reflexes, the bravery, the talent...these guys are truly the best in motor sports.
Stephen Taylor I don't think so, Hamilton probably won't even be in podium, so there is no reason for him to let Vettel win. Vettel is already 6 points ahead of Lewis.
That is just insanity. I couldn't do it on Assetto Corsa or rFactor2 even if I practiced years. That guy does it in real life just like it was another day in the office. The skills of these top F1 drivers is unbelievable.
Especially that year...those cars are 2metres wide (upfrom 1.8) and with over a thousand horsepower its like racing a jet boat in an Olympic pool flat out without hitting anything
Kimi has the best spatial awareness &reflexes I've ever seen. They had to use slow mo to catch his reflexes avoiding Hamilton on pit exit Suzuka 2012 in the Lotus otherwise no one would even have seen it.. He is the most naturally talented racer ever..
Monaca is the place where car doesn't matter. Olivier panis win with shit car. Ayrton senna in a toleman chasing alain prost while being chased by stefan bellof in the only car on the grid without a turbo. Schumacher set a pole in a pre overpowered mercedes at over 40 years old. And now kimi at 38 years old. And then people said they should remove monaco from the calender? This is where skills and experience matters
rockzs74r Not to say something bad about Panis, but in 96 almost everyone retired and only 4 finished the race, there was only the McLaren-Mercedes of Coulthard as a better car, Hakkinen retired too, the Sauber-Ford was simply worst, so it was a bit easier for him, but still, his skill counted too.
Although, in turn, when Panis took the lead on lap 62 there were still 8 other cars running, and 6 of those qualified ahead of him, so he'd still had to pass Brundle, Hakkinen and Irvine on track, and the rest by taking a huge gamble for early dry tyres while the track was still damp.
Unfortunately, f1 is being too uniform these days. On other extremety of the track specktrum was the old hockhenheim. In a similar fashion, but by different way, it always produced unconventional races and results. Whay happened? Gone.
That's pretty cool when a driver/athlete snaps a drought, after a really long time and they do it at an older age. It shuts a lot of people up lol. That's one for the record books ✔ and he can definitely pull off the win too. That'd be something special.
The speed at which he has to apply opposite lock to avoid the walls is amazing. He is forced to apply opposite lock at the exit of Turn 1 (0:08) and at the entrance of the tunnel (0:38). Considering his age you can understand the kind of reflexes these drivers have.
I literally just cannot comprehend how talented F1 drivers are. How on earth can a human being do something this incredible? My heart is in my mouth just watching this video!

I don't know how anyone finishes this race. he came so close to the wall on every corner. this track is exciting but it's completely nuts
They won't be driving like this for 78 laps. But yes, there is a reason this track is shown as the most difficult.
This is quali. But I agree there is not much room for mistakes.
An86 well yes so basically in the actual race therr will be traffic.... and people attempting to pass while trying to go faster than everyone else. i don't see how that's any less intense. this is nuts. exciting, but nuts.

I think this is his best chance to win an F1 race in a few years
Think Ferrari will ask him to move over.
That would be mean by them
Stephen Taylor I don't think so, Hamilton probably won't even be in podium, so there is no reason for him to let Vettel win. Vettel is already 6 points ahead of Lewis.
Stephen Taylor I don't think so. Ferrari treats Kimi and Seb equally, unlike they did with Fernando and Felipe...
that would be typical by them..
