At Cincinnati Children’s, we are committed to providing care and support that meets your unique needs. One way we learn about our patients and their family is to ask a lot of questions.
Your responses to our questions give us information we can’t get from any X-ray, lab or by looking at you. We understand that this takes time, but we believe this is time well spent.
Only you can tell your story, and every detail you share with us is important. These details will help us provide the best care to you and develop a clearer picture of what makes you you.
Telling us your story will ensure that we don’t miss connecting you to one of our many services here at Cincinnati Children’s.
For example, if we learn your family is having trouble getting transportation to clinic appointments we will work to make sure you have a way to get to the hospital.
If you are feeling overwhelmed with all you have to do, we have members of our care team who will listen to your concerns, offer support, and help you come up with a solution that will work for you and your family.
You may notice we often ask questions that we’ve asked you before. This is important because your story, how you feel, and what you need, may change over time.
As these change, we need to make sure we continue to give you the best care every step of the way. Your unique answers help your care team focus face-to-face meetings on what matters to you.
For example, if you tell us you are having an upset stomach every day, we may talk to you about medicine to improve this or other medicine changes to help you feel more comfortable.
At Cincinnati Children’s we’re committed to changing the outcome together. If you have any questions, we encourage you to talk to a member of your care team.
