taka's becoming is his choice. He chose to learn from his dad and didnt learn from mufasa. He knew mufasa is learning all the skills to survive and he did nothing and just watched. When opportunity came, he ran away because he was a cowardice and his ability did not allow him to excel to lead. He has no one else to blame. Mufasa protected taka and lied for taka, giving taka chances again and again. But sometime in life when u are not meant to be in that position, opportunities will slip through your hand.
Finally someone is talking about scar ,felt really sad about taka /scar but he was not king material. Even though mufasa leave him unharmed last was good move. Actually if u do anatomy of scar character u will find that his character was like beta male who did nothing but try to be good . U will find same thing one sided lover ,who did one thing for lover but keep on repeating how great he did for loved one .
I was thinking, "He betrayed his brother JUST for a girl? He's going to let him die intentionally?!" But then he's just lost his family, this was his another chance at starting one. How long are their ages? BUT main part I saw, he WANTED to go back! To save his family, to fight for them! Correct his mistake of being a coward for once and MUFASA, who was the brave one, the courageous one, stopped him... thus, making him an orphan too. And I think that subconscious thing of, "How can he have more than me? This never happened. If I had never saved him, this wouldn't have happened. I am taking back what I gave. Thus, she will remain with me." Also, I think Mufasa learned alot because he lived with the females, learned to listen. Well, also lionesses hunt most. It was like watching Dune, Paul got so much info and talent from the female memory line.
@@kalakritistudios the movie intentionally build up taka’s jealousy from the moment when he knew subtly that mufasa is more outstanding than him. The final tipping and trigger point is losing sarabi to mufasa. Yet again, taka’s perspective about love is skewed as well, he thought by expressing his fondness first and with the inherited royal bloodline he would deserve what ever he desires without earning it. Choosing to be brave to fight a guaranteed losing battle , to me, i find it foolish. Both of them wanted to stayed to fight for the pride but obashi and eshe urged mufasa to protect taka safety and find a new home. Once they wandered out to explore the unknown world, they start afresh and would have to build their new home from nothing. On side note, it also meant that Obasi passes no legacy to taka beside an empty prince title.
The biggest takeaway is that Taka is a very emotional and conflicted individual that chose to do the right thing in the end of the movie. Mufasa then chose to trap him in his lowest moment forever by removing Taka’s identity and replacing it with “Scar”. How could Taka ever grow and recover from that? The relationship of Mufasa and Taka died at that moment. If Mufasa yelled out “Taka” instead of “Scar” during the stampede, I wouldn’t be surprised if Taka would return and do what he did in the past when he had to make a big decision.
No i still completely blame the parenting, not for the cowardice but for the pride and entitlement. Takas father taught him to be arrogant pretty much since he was born, kids are not conscious enough to reject their parents teaching like that. I guarantee any child taught like that since birth, will end up being just as arrogant. Both taka and mufasa are both products of their environment.
After Mufasa: The Lion King I wonder if the Disney film makers are planning to make the version of The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride in the future because I would like to see Kovu make an appearence at last in the live action.
That's cyclical fate in literary terms, hence, "The Circle of Life", did you realize that Taka and his bloodline was also in a cycle of defeatists. Mufasa and Scar's cycle ended with their cubs.
The movie was great. Just saw it 1 hour ago it was so shocking. Words can't describe how much effort Disney finally put into this after 10+ years. From the flooding of Mufasa's land to how Taka got his scar and the birth of pride rock...This movie just might have revived Disney and The whole Lion King franchise. Also, how is no one talking about that Kiara's baby brother at the end is actually Kion?!
@@nicolecupido-em5uoKion is the leader of the Lion Guard from the sequel "The Lion Guard" debuting in November 2015. Kion is Simba's youngest son and his job is to protect the Pridelands with his friends: Bunga, Fuli, Beshte and Ono.
We just watched *Mufasa* two days ago, and it was completely unexpected-but wow, I wasn’t ready for how amazing it was! Mufasa’s story is honestly so tragic, but there’s a lot of hope in it too. The way they developed his bond with Scar (Taka) and foreshadowed Scar’s eventual betrayal was done so well-it really hit hard. And the music? Absolutely beautiful; it added so much to the overall vibe of the movie. Then, of course, the credit scene we just found out the songs were written by Lin-Manuel Miranda himself! Such a great movie overall.
I was a bit disappointed in the end where Mufasa didnt forgive taka. I mean yea, taka did what he did and it was wrong but it came out of the impulse that he felt in the part where Mufasa hanged with that female lion. Mufasa grew up hunting and learning from Takas mother and he saved her from the two white lions which attacked them while taka ran away. Even though he ran away, i dont see it as his fault but its fathers fault that kept him sleeping rather than going to hunt with his mother. Also, Taka saved Mufasa from getting eaten by his father by letting him win the race that they had in the beginning. Taka accepted him in its family and loved him as its own brother. After Taka betrayed Mufasa, you could see in the end when he went and saved Mufasa from getting killed by the white lion and he also saved him from drowing in the water. I didnt like Mufasas saying in the end where he said that he didnt want to see his face again or smth like that. I would have prefered Mufasa to forgive Taka.
Ya he did in the lion king he still was in pride rock when Mufasa and Taka/scar were having the conversation about he didn’t go see Simba . Also Zazu said we should’ve exiled him a long time ago. Which was explained in this recap that Mufasa wanted to exile him. But then he didn’t
I won't be going to the theaters so I appreciate the spoilers. 👍 Why Taka didn't leave the pride lands, I don't know. If they lost their bond, why did Taka live with him???
yeah sure but Taka kept messing things up. So he should be more than happy for Mufasa to keep him around and what for? Just to betray his brother once AGAIN a few years later... Taka wasn't born as pure evil but he chose that path after the events of Mufasa The Lion King. He always had the chance to change but he didn't
Aw I actually feel bad for him. He was holding onto that jealousy for a while even thinking his father and mother liked him better. Mufasa tried though cause he knew he liked Sarabi but he did too and Sarabi chose him. Honestly he was pushed to be king but he was not really king material freezing up in the face of danger when things are hitting the fan is not good. King needs to take action like Mufasa for the good of his pride and kingdom. Taka had the right intent though. He saved Mufasa though for the last time.. so sad. Taka had nothing left but Mufasa gained so much. Yeah I can see why he grew hate and jealousy then poor guy. It took a toll on him
I saw this movie yesterday and it wow it was a rollarcoaster. I especially love how Kiros is portrayed. Also it's cool how most of the songs kind of reflect the other songs of the original lion king. Like i always wanted a brother is like taka's version of I just can't wait to be king. And Bye bye is Kiros' version of be prepared. they are the same thing in their own funway! Totally recommend movie
I would love to see another generation of Outsiders in The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride! Zira, Nuke, Vitani, Kovu, and many other unnamed Outsiders involved.😊
@ This just got dark. I remember Scar trying to swoon over Nala and tried to mate with her in the original. All he got was a scratch in the face from her and she ran off to find help outside the Pridelands.
OK, that was interesting, and so be honest I feel sorry for Taka, he had an over bearing father trying to push him down a path he didn't what, and because of that Taka made a big mistake and betrayed Mufasa, but I think it all could have been avoided if Mufasa did say he would be know as Scar form now on, I mean come on man I know you angry at him but he saved your life 4 times and one of those times if he hadn't Krios would have killed you. Also noticed when they are cubs the way Taka pulls him up form the river and again when there teenagers, so the way Taka saved Mufasa was ultimately the way he killed him, and now that I think about it maybe instead of Scar saying "Long live the king" before killing him, maybe he should have said "I should have left you in that rivier".
This is shitty arch Disney created. Scar is dirty as fuck! A COWARD! This doesn't justify hs actions. You fools like to suck his ass, but not only killed Mufasa, but tried killing Nala and Simba, bit Sarabi down, destroy the pride lands. Taka or Scar is garbage.
Right! I know Mufasa had EVERY RIGHT to be angry but like saying that you won’t call him by his birth name anymore seems a bit…..wrong, idk maybe Mufasa was right or not
Ok, but am I the only one ☝️ who doesn’t feel bad for taka. I mean he had a choice he should’ve saved Sarabi. But he didn’t. A true king is not measured by his power. It’s his kindness and caring nature. A king protects his people. Which is what mufasa did for Sarabi. But, sadly mufasa lied for him just so that he could have her. What a Caring brother. Taka wasn’t really king material, he thought he could be king because he was of royal blood even though there in the middle of nowhere. He also had a choice whether he could leave and start his own kingdom, but well he didn’t.He also gave advice on how to hit on Sarabi. Taka should’ve done it himself. The song we go together say about how taka just sees her as a prize. He was too scared to save his crush Sarabi, which is why she chose mufasa instead of him. He didn’t even tell the animals to fight back! It was mufasa all along! So, taka made his bed and now he must sleep in it. Who agrees with me?
I dont know why Taka feels entitled to be king in a land that isnt even his to begin with.....the Pride that he was to rule over had been destroyed....imagine if King charles gets chased out of england and england is destroyed, now he arrives in France and feels he has the right to be king there as France has no monarchy....utter nonsense....taka shud have gone back to his homeland and started over now that the white lions have been killed. But deep doen he knows he cant survive or estsblish anything on his own
The biggest takeaway is that Taka is a very emotional and conflicted individual that chose to do the right thing in the end of the movie.
Nah dude Taka being a coward who had a sense of entitlement is what drove him to become envious and jealous towards Mufasa. Dude couldn’t figure out why things worked out for Mufasa the way they did and became jealous and envious of Mufasa because of Taka had a birth right to the throne and was told that he would have everything he wanted without working for it. At the end of the movie even though Taka helped Mufasa fight; his sense of entitlement and negative feelings towards Mufasa still existed and he only apologized because of he feared exile or being killed by Mufasa
@ yeah that would have been my take away if I was in 8th grade or something. Maybe later you’ll see the grooming Taka went through from his father, other environmental factors that fed into his insecurity and his overly emotional personality. His extreme emotions led him to betray Mufasa when he was upset & confronted by the enemy and it’s those same emotions that made him fight for Mufasa at the end. The only time we see Taka truly fight was when it was he reminisced of his love for Mufasa. He apologized because he wanted to, but reverted after Mufasa didn’t forgive him the way he felt entitled to be
Taka removed his own identity, yall gotta stop blaming Mufasa for that. Taka literally said “call me scar so i never forget” how is thar mufasa stripping his identity?
@ Taka called himself Scar because Mufasa already said he would never call him my his name again. Taka simply gave Mufasa an out, it’s not like he wanted to never be called Mufasa again; it’s pretty obvious Taka was resentful when that happened. It’s like when you’re punished and the other person says “what am I going to do with you”, and you just offer up some punishment to steer things in a certain direction.
Just came out of the cinema and I can only say this: Ignore the mixed critics score. This was such a fun and emotional movie to watch! A really nice addition to the Lion King universe and in many ways better than the remake. There were 2 - 3 things where I personally wished that they would have happened in a different way but besides of that really really satisfied. - A fun adventurous story - A lot of wise words from our favorite mandrill (and he's no baboon!) - Beautiful african flair - Fun new songs and an epic orchestral score - Some really emotional moments which even made me tear up - The third act is just epic and quite action packed - Known and beloved characters are getting more depth and I love them even more now (and don't worry, we don't have an Episode 8 Luke Skywalker character destruction with Mufasa here or anything. Really the opposite is the case. Respectful handling with all of them) - Kiara is to cute to handle - I think there isn't one new character that I didn't liked. Was even surprised how much I liked Obasi at the end since he seemed to be a total **** at first - I loved the villains - Yes, the animals are REALLY expressive this time - Amazing CGI and landscapes again. Loved all the different biomes I can only pledge to all of you to give this movie a chance. This one doesn't deserve to flop. It deserves to be a success. More than any remake. Thank you, Barry Jenkins! Giving this movie a 8/10 right now because of the 2 - 3 things that I would have liked a bit differently. But I will go up to a 9 after I'm getting used to them after some rewatches.
Honestly, Taka was dumb, every single time something happened where he should have done something but didnt, mufasa always put the praise on taka, who saved takas mom, Mufasa, taka was a coward. Who saved Sarabi, again Mufasa, but he said Taka did. He even gave advice on how to approach Sarabi. So honestly, its warranted for Mufasa who has never betrayed Taka once in his entire life to ridicule him andd even than, he let Taka live with him because despite the disappointment, he loved and cared for him, yet Taka was too selfish and a coward he later on killed Mufasa. Def deserves to be named Scar, loyalty is the biggest fundamental moral, and while Mufasa was truly loyal to Taka, Taka was not.
Very well said! I can't stand seeing brainwashed Disney fans sympathizing on Taka. That's Disney's agenda talking. Taka could leave the pride lands and start a kingdom elsewhere if he wanted instead of wallowing in his self pity like spoiled kid.
I think a lot of y’all are missing the context of how Scar was presented here. Yes this is all true for the most part BUT it is important to remember the line Sarabi said to Mufasa that scar overheard. That Scar’s purpose in life was to save Mufasa. That was heartbreaking to hear. Even after the betrayal he realized what Sarabi said was right and finally had his moment of bravery by protecting Mufasa and receiving his Scar. Then after that he saved Mufasa from the water. Mufasa’s folly was not realizing that he needed to address Scar’s emotions. If Mufasa would’ve truly forgiven Scar after he was saved then Scar never would’ve held on to that resentment.
After watching the film, I can now express my honest opinion about it. In general, the movie is wonderful and enjoyable. I loved the appearance of the original soundtrack and not abandoning it, as the spirit of memories was present in that music. I also loved the brotherly relationship between Mufasa and Taka (Scar)...they were great together. We should also mention the songs in the film. They were beautiful songs, especially the song Mufasa and Sarabi. Also, the backgrounds and environment were extremely beautiful. These are positive points that are credited to the film. But on the other hand, there are some things I did not like in the film, such as not showing Obasi’s fight against Kiros and his group. Obasi appeared as a frightened, pathetic lion king (I really felt sorry for him). It does not make sense for a lion to stand in fear in real life without trying to defend his group, even if he is about to be killed. The lion's instinct is to become aggressive when it feels threatened. This is what Obasi did not show when he was a full-grown adult lion, and that is a negative point in the film. Well.. I appreciate that Mufasa is the hero of the story, but it doesn't make sense for a young, immature Mufasa to hold his own against Kiros and his group while Obasi doesn't. The other annoying thing is that we never actually see Sarabi fight. Also, perhaps many will disagree with me on this point. That Mufasa's mother was alive at the end of the movie wasn't a big deal and wouldn't change anything at all. Rather, it makes us wonder what happened to her after that and why she did not appear in the original film!? Like Sarabi, her fate is unknown. I disagree with those who say that the Timon and Pumbaa scenes were disturbing. On the contrary, it was a wonderful and entertaining addition. They added some fun and humor to the movie, in addition to Zazu and Rafiki. As for Kiara, she was very nice. I loved her in this version, unlike the animated movie. I will never forget the scene that gave me goosebumps when Mufasa stood on Pride Rock, roaring, as did his granddaughter Kiara, and then Mufasa’s spirit appeared in the sky, roaring.. That scene was legendary. Now we come to the characters in the story... “Mufasa.” Perhaps this movie does it justice in terms of courage and strength. Well, he wasn't as strong as Kiros the adult lion, but he was brave for trying to face Kiros and his group, even though he was still a young lion who hadn't fully grown yet. This is a positive point for Mufasa. Let's not forget that he defeated Kiros in the end. He also showed his courage in saving Sarabi from a herd of elephants in a very beautiful scene. Also when he saved Taka's mother and killed Kiros' son and Mufasa also showed his leadership character in many situations, as well as his loyalty and sacrifice to Taka. Mufasa has always had the qualities of royalty. "Taka" or Scar later... He was a cute lion cub at the beginning of the movie. He was a good brother. It is sad that he was not appreciated by his father, the king. He always put him aside and did not give him the opportunity to show his abilities. Taka seemed to me restricted and did not have the freedom that would help him gain some skills in hunting, fighting and thinking. But he appeared as a spoiled cub who was not qualified to lead the group. In fairness, let's not forget the sacrifices he made for Mufasa... he saved him on many occasions. Taka appeared like a lean and cowardly lion who avoids fighting and confrontation. But I'm happy for him when he overcame his fears as well as his jealousy towards Mufasa and stood by his side in fighting Kiros even though he was ineffective in the fight. But after delving deeper into both characters and seeing how they grew up, Perhaps many sympathize with the scar, and I respect that. It is wonderful that tastes and opinions differ between people.. but without bias, I disagree with those who say that Taka has more right to rule and is the legitimate king, and so on.. After seeing both characters, Mufasa has a leadership and strong personality that qualifies him to rule. While Scar was arrogant and selfish, Mufasa was dominant in terms of courage and physical strength, and in terms of wisdom and leadership he was always superior to Scar In stages.. But in fairness, the circumstances surrounding Scar were not good enough to qualify him as a future king. If Mufasa and Scar are presidential candidates, I will always vote for Mufasa in the presidential elections 😅 As for the villain Kiros, it bothered me that we did not see him fighting a fully grown adult lion. We only saw him fighting a young lion that had not yet fully grown, “Mufasa.” Although Mufasa did well in his fight against Kiros, this is not enough to do justice to Kiros as a threatening and dominant lion. So I repeat what I said about Obasi he was the perfect adult lion to fight against Kiros. This fight should have been shown to reinforce Kiros' dominance. This is a negative point that Disney may regret later.
But how is Taka more eligeble to rule than Mufasa....as far as I understand, Taka's pride of lions of which he was a prince was decimated. The new land they where in ,I thinknits called Melilee was new territorye, and really had no ruler....so i believe the playing ground was level now, the crown was up to anyone now
@DAVINCI85-i4h Yes, this is true... but who had all the qualities that would make him a ruler?... Here lies the difference between Mufasa and Scar... When I said that Scar was not qualified, I meant that he lacked those qualities that would make him fit to rule... Any lion could be A lion...but not all lions become kings
You know, you point is really good. I would l have loved to see Obasi fight Kiros and left a scar at least in Kiros face. That would have had a lot of symbolism
no there won't be any lion guard. Scar was leader of the guard in his teens and we literally saw his past so the lion guard is not going to be a part of the live action universe (and that's the best decision to make)
The Lion king of 2019 contains some differences compared to 1994’s one. Scar said it wouldn’t have challenged Mufasa AGAIN. And also that Sarabi chose Mufasa instead himself. And this is because it’s based on the prequel that is now released. So the next Lion king 2 will be different from the version of 1998, because it’s showed that Chiara has a brother, a change from the previous Lion King 2
Am i the only one that feels that Taka/Scar anger and hatred towards Mufasa is justified? Before Taka and Mufasa ran away from Taka's original pride to protect Obasi's bloodline, Obasi made Mufasa swear loyalty to Taka that Taka was to be king and not Mufasa. But in the end, Mufasa was king and Mufasa mated with Sarabi even though he knew Taka loved her. Also Taka saved Mufasa's life 3 times. 1 at the river, another at the waterfall cliff and last one pulling him out of water after the king of the outsiders died. And how did Mifasa repay him? By taking his throne and stealing his girl.😢
@@AfsanaSharmin-v5f Well, still, mufasa should've forgiven him. Bro betrayed him that one time from impulsive and in the end saved him. He took the hit for him, he saved him from crocodiles, from the death race, from the water, the waterfall, that's a lot of savings. And from what I see, Mufasa didn't really actually pay attention to his own little brother taka too the moment sarabi and the gang appeared. They have a saying a life for a life, which Mufasa still owed Scar plenty. Forcing him to change the name was brutal. Mufasa was wise. But wasn't wise enough to kept his brother from evilness or even try to give him a proper second chance. Either he should've exiled him like Simba did to outlanders or he should've just forgave him fully. It was foolish and audacious of Mufasa to even expect Taka/Scar to save him again at the cliff too if this is how it went.
But Taka betrayed Mufasa and teamed up with Kiros because he couldn’t have Sarabi. Taka went all incel and blamed his dad’s death on Mufasa. Mufasa’s actions were justified- Taka was a coward and wanted everything to go his way. Did Taka save Mufasa’s life plenty of times? Yes! But Mufasa was trying to reject Sarabi so he wouldn’t hurt Taka and he even lied and said that Taka saved Sarabi. Mufasa was loyal to Taka for 90% of the movie
@@Gojiraon The fact he did save Mufasa from Kiros mean he is not entirely a coward. And a coward did not kill his own brother later on. And I never even mention sarabi and mufasa love in here. Incel or not, he has a brother to at least tell him whats right and not no? Throughout the entire movie, when they were in teenager phase, i hear no particular advice toward Scar behavior from him at all except do not eat this do not do that but never about scar himself, his mentality, his issues. Never saying scar aint bad, like i said, he can even exile him if he want i wouldnt even have issues with it if you didnt read me? But he let taka stay, and even refuse to call his very birth name that his parents give him. Meaning scar has nothing left. The last thing you want to give a lion/person like scar is 'nothing'. By taking away their brother relationship AND his name, he had made scar into a 'nothing to lose'. As a brother and as a king that is an ill move, you make yourself an enemy. Just because someone bad doesnt mean they cannot change. And just because someone bad doesnt mean you should make them WORSE.
@@FeinReiscar killing his brother mufasa is cowardly! Didnt even fight him, used his son to kill him, lets his claws go to kill him while mufasa falls to his death, then also lied about how his brother died to the pride! If you dont find that cowardly you have issues. Only few times Taka showed good morales is when he was innocent before sarabi entered the picture. And only one time he was brave is when he remembered himself and his brother mufasa when they was young and came in took the claw hit to save mufasa from ziros.
Taka was trained by his father to make excuses not to develop leadership skills, he was just like his father who was very dominant on his own pride but cowers when a real challenge comes. But even after all that he was just a young lion trying to prove something to his family, you can clearly see that he has doubts about his father and is actually trying to break away from the norms of their pride. But the chains of traditions are just that tight for him which eventually jailed him with all those regrets. I think taka was overcomed by emotions, after wanting to prove something but did not have the chance to do it. After feeling like a spoiled kid with a bodyguard which he grew admiration and that admiration turned in to envy, because his brother that he saved himself grew stronger, smarter, and braver than him. Now the boiling point of it all was when Sarabi chose Mufasa. That's where Taka was defeated, he was trying to prove something, that never came, that something was lost, he was regretful from the start of their journey, he gets preoccupied by their journey because of a lioness, his admiration of his brother grew to envy, that envy slowly creeps upon him, finished up with a broken heart, and all of that added up. The lesson here is that if you want to get something just do it and not wait for someones approval for you to do it, don't wait for reassurance. And on that journey of doing it, be strong, don't let negativity distract you from where you wanna be in life, if something bothers you solve it, don't indulge in it. Rationalize on things, think why you have those obstacles and push through it. This is what Mufasa did and exactly the opposite of what Taka did.
Mufasa just came back to his own land and ruled over it while taka lost his family and land after kiros defeated them and he never could become rightful king 😭
Poor taka😭 He got some bad parenting from his dad even though some things he told were right He sat with his dad lazily and did not learn survival skills thus he was not brave😢
I deeply hoped taka wouldn’t become scar. Him and Mufasa were extremely close, and threw it all away in anger. Disney did a great job on this, in memory of the great *real* voice actor of Mufasa, rip. I want Disney’s next lion king movie to be either simbas pride, or a another version of this (since it’s already doing so well), but instead, make it to where Mufasa and Taka can save their bond before it’s too late.
it's not confirmed to be Kion. We didn't get a name yet. And if it's Kion it's probably not going to be the lion guard Kion cause lion guard would 100000000000000000% not fit into the live action lion king lore.
Finally someone is talking about scar ,felt really sad about taka /scar but he was not king material. Even though mufasa leave him unharmed last was good move. I loved the movie but I hated that I had to keep explaining to some of my friends that Mufasa did not steal Taka’s birthright. Taka is the crown prince of his father’s lands in the valley of kings, Mufasa became king of Milele, a completely different location. Taka could have went back and re-claimed his father’s old territory instead of staying in Mufasa’s kingdom We Had to watch the whole thing three times just to get it through their thick skulls
Lions take over territory by combat. When kiros kills obasi he becomes the king of that land. There is one time in the movie where kiros says “everything the light touches is mine” but then by the end when mufasa kills him he technically becomes king of kiros’s territory
@@ghostkiller_5839 It’s biological because Nala went missing and She went away from pride to give birth That’s what the real life lionesses do when they pregnant
Mufasas respone to Taka's apology did look harsh, the disapointment in Taka's eyes were clear after Mufasa rejected him with silence. For Taka Mufasa was someone he could trust when he thought he couldn't anyone else, even his own parents. And now he lost the last person he was sure he could. At that moment he became Scar as we know him since 1994. He was also hurt by Saraby's words that Taka's destiny was to save Mufasa. I felt a little dissapointed with Mufasa not forgiving him, but then from Mufasa piont of view, how could he trust Taka ever again after all that danger he put him in by joining Kiros and helping him to follow them till Milele.
@@t-stonezthestonaman461after seeing this movie, I'm less mad about that scene. Low-key justified for ruining my reputation and the public humiliation.
A really good movie , I was surprised. I went in thinking I was gonna leave dreading it because I watched the OG films and read up on the lion king tale of two brothers novel, in addition to catching up on lion guard where they state a difference of how Taka got his scar , how they are real brothers , how and why their dad chose Mufasa because he was more ready and scar may have possessed bad genes . How can Kiara have a brother and we haven’t seen Kovu yet? In the og movies mufasa references the great kings of the past and in this movie he becomes the first king of the entire pride land . As much as I don’t like the inconsistency, deviation from the OG, and new story , I gotta admit it was a great story they wrote . 👏 but still in my mind the OG story will always be what was written in the past lol
Ok i just have to say this i love the movie and all but its JUST UNFAIR the way taka became scar is so unfair ? Why doesn't mufasa just forgive him like any other good ending films Yeah am i mad because my geart is broken yeah maybe Because i see that taka is still good and do good in the end of the movie and he wouldn't be scar if mufasa just said yeah i forgive you lets be kings together That monument felt overpushed for the sake of making taka becoming scar I mean mufasa wasn't even talented or anything When mufasa was a kid he couldn't even swim . He couldn't even beat taka in the race Its just because mufasa was lucky enough to spend time with the female lions so he could be brave and talented so he could deserve to be the king and have sirabi fell in love with him and be the hero of the story unlike taka he was unlucky enough to stay with his father not allowed to go with the female lions . Heck he even said to his father i do not want to be like you So what he did something wrong in the end he regret it saved mufasa twice from the white lion and from being drowned he became good not counting when they where kids when he saved his life and welcomed him in his family. And when he became good again even though he was able to just let mufasa die and love happy no he saved mufasa after mufasa beged him to be safed and un the end mufasa didn't forgive him after all this time they been together WHAT THE HELL MOVIE i mean the way ge was called scar was brilliant BUT ISN'T THERE A BETTER WAY TO MAKE ME HATE SCAR MYFASA JUST CAME IN TO HIS LIFE LUCKY ENOUGH BECAME TALENTED CAUSED HIS FAMILY TO DIE TOOK HIM TO A PLACE WHEN MUFASA FIND FAMILY AND TAKA DON'T TOOK THE KING ROLE FROM HIM BECOME THE HERO AND NEVER GOT FORGOT FOR A MISTAKE HE DID MUFASA IS ACTUALLY THE BAD GUY I mean after all that crap Mufasa is dumb for thinking that Scar will save him at that cliff again in the original lion king
Mufasa in his youth: keep fighting against other male lions and hunting for prey with the lionesses. Simba in his youth: chilling with timon and pumba, hakuna matata Mufasa is a whole other category of being an alpha lion(king).
Objectively speaking, I have no problem with Mufasa. If I have to blame someone, I really blame Taka/Scar's parents. Taka's father Obasi is really irresponsible to the entire lion group. They are used to letting the female lions hunt while the male lions sleep and rest. For them, hunting is a woman's job, so whenever Taka wants to go hunting with his mother, his father will tell him that it is a woman's job and Taka is not allowed to hunt. Taka can only follow his mother secretly and learn from her teaching Mufasa. Eshe, it is true to say that she is kind. She will talk to grasshoppers, and she wants to pick up all the stray animals and take care of them. But to say that she is a good mother, I don't think so. If her husband does not allow her to teach the children to hunt, I will not blame her, I will think she is a queen who listens to her husband. But is she a person who listens to her husband? She knew that her husband did not like stray animals, but she still advocated adopting Mufasa. Later, she knew Obasi's concerns and was afraid that Mufasa would compete with Taka for the throne, but she did not care about Obasi's concerns. When she discovered Mufasa's abilities, those abilities that were destined to become king, I heard clearly she had said "GIFTED" and she was willing to cultivate Mufasa's ability to become king. From the beginning, she did not completely obey her husband's arrangements 100% But she never cultivated her own son Taka. So is a saintly mother like her worthy of being a mother? If she brings up this matter, will she use "husband won't let" as an excuse? If she wants to raise a willing son, she will find a way. If you want to do it, you will find a way. If you don't want to do it, you will find an excuse; When they say goodbye, she shared a lot with Mufasa, but with Taka, she only said "your brave moment will come", and she never taught her son anything, letting him fight for himself. The courage of the child who was neglected by his parents since childhood broke out when he saved the male protagonist Mufasa Taka is a child who suffers because of his parents' irresponsibility. I don't defend Scar's later actions. But I feel sorry for a little smart, honest, opinionated lion like Taka in the past. As for Mufasa, I have no opinion on him, and I don't think he is wrong in love or fighting for power. Perhaps my only gripe with Disney character development is that it's a bit heavy on "talent" and lacks character development. After Simba was born and Mufasa developed a lot.
I think the story was structured a quite poorly in this movie as well as the timing. The end was so damn quick and they spent quite a bit of time in the snowy mountains doing nothing. Theres also the many accounts that the lions would mention their "hunger" and then just ignore food opportunities (one in particular in the snowy mountains). Taka wasnt shown to have much emotion towards Sarabi except for 2 scenes at best and he always followed behind Mufusa. They really could have made more conflict with the "King" dynamatic too but Taka was just aloof a lot of the time like he didn't care. Oh, and Mufusa was built to be a special lion with a special gift, yet couldnt smell a hint of the white lions on Taka when he returned? Damn, crazy. There were plenty of moments in the movie where it just didn't make sense. Overall, it was alright. So much better than the remake due to it at least being an attempt on an original storyline, but The Lion King has such a significant staple in the animated movie scene that this is still nothing compared to the original. I think if this was its own original property, a lot of it could be overlooked (the issues). But as it stands now, its kinda questionable why some actions were taken and not others. I most of all loved the music. The villain song is definitely more suited for an animated scene however.
Honestly, I thought this movie was pretty good. Was there room for improvement? Well yeah, of course. And it was dedicated to James Earl Jones - and that's a pretty big thing to live up too. And while there were a few things that would have made the movie better, I still enjoyed watching it, and I consider it to be a good enough prequel story to the Lion King franchise. I've always wanted to see the story of Mufasa and Scar, and how brothers practically became mortal enemies. And while I would have prefered traditional 2D animation for this movie, I'll admit that the facial features were an improvement than the typical blank expressions from the other Disney live action remakes when it comes to animals. And having a pride of white lions was a good idea, because they were beautiful to watch. Also, most of the songs were pretty catchy; my favorite probably being the one with Mufasa and Sarabi. How Mufasa was portrayed as flawed but still grew to become brave, kind, and smart...that I really enjoyed. And how Mufasa made all the animals find their courage and practically formed their new way of life...also really good. Plus, to see how Pride Rock was formed, how Taka became known as Scar, how they met Sarabi, Zazu, and Rafiki - to me it was a beautiful story. And it's actually quite tragic, because we know the fate that awaits this one of a kind lion who wasn't born to be king...but was destined to become one. That being said, there were some things I didn't like. For starters, I was really annoyed whenever Timon and Pumbaa practically interrupted the story with their comments - if anything they should have enjoyed the story just as much as Kiara did - they may not have been in the story, but I believe that's what made it better. There was also Kiro's song...which I thought was pretty terrible. Kiros was a pretty intimidating character, and so, his song should have been more menacing - heck, Scar's song in the live action version was actually better than Kiro's. We should have seen the Outsiders kill (or at least viciously attack) Mufasa and Taka's clan. We saw Eshe bond with Mufasa, but it would have been nice to see Obasi bond with Mufasa too before his departure. It would have been good to see just how many days have passed as Mufasa and his new clan journey to Milele - I feel like that would have helped the chemistry buildup between Mufasa and Sarabi. I also would have prefered that after reuniting with his mother, Mufasa took the rest of the day to mourn the death of his father - and the very next day, roars over Pride Rock - symbolising the sun rising with him as the new king. I still think this was a good movie. And it definitely deserves more attention and recognition.
taka's becoming is his choice.
Thus, she will remain with me."
Also, I think Mufasa learned alot because he lived with the females, learned to listen.
Both taka and mufasa are both products of their environment.
just watched the movie. Now every line in 2019 "don't turn your back on me, Scar" scene sounds reasonable.
oh no mufasa, perhaps you shouldnt turn your back on me..
After Mufasa: The Lion King I wonder if the Disney film makers are planning to make the version of The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride in the future because I would like to see Kovu make an appearence at last in the live action.

Poor Mufasa. The way he lost his father is a lot like the way Simba lost him.
Sad cycle.

That's cyclical fate in literary terms, hence, "The Circle of Life", did you realize that Taka and his bloodline was also in a cycle of defeatists. Mufasa and Scar's cycle ended with their cubs.
Nice to see when people are actually loving a Disney movie can't wait to see it🔥🔥🔥
Not when the movies are bad
The movie was great. Just saw it 1 hour ago it was so shocking. Words can't describe how much effort Disney finally put into this after 10+ years. From the flooding of Mufasa's land to how Taka got his scar and the birth of pride rock...This movie just might have revived Disney and The whole Lion King franchise.
Also, how is no one talking about that Kiara's baby brother at the end is actually Kion?!

I feel the same bro.. the same. Poor taka
it will be more disappointing if mufasa forgave a betrayer
It took a toll on him
Cry me a river. 😂😂scar is a coward
Well put, Cold World
I saw this movie yesterday and it wow it was a rollarcoaster.
Obasi failed his son. In more ways than one
If he been a better father taka would be a better brother
Exactly it’s mainly Obasi’s fault not Mufasa’s. Taka was such a cowardly spoiled brat because of him 😭
he didn't prepare Taka for the future, only to take over based on his past
I would love to see another generation of Outsiders in The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride! Zira, Nuke, Vitani, Kovu, and many other unnamed Outsiders involved.😊
Fun facts: Simba and Nala are step sibling and Scar had his way with Nala and the rest of the female lionnes during his rule.

I definitely agree with you.

If Mufasa yelled out “Taka” instead of “Scar” during the stampede, I wouldn’t be surprised if Taka would return and do what he did in the past when he had to make a big decision.
@ he shouldn’t have called him anything but exiled
I saw this movie trust me its one of the cutest movies ive ever seen!

- A fun adventurous story
- A lot of wise words from our favorite mandrill (and he's no baboon!)
- Beautiful african flair
- Fun new songs and an epic orchestral score
- Some really emotional moments which even made me tear up
- The third act is just epic and quite action packed
- Known and beloved characters are getting more depth and I love them even more now (and don't worry, we don't have an Episode 8 Luke Skywalker character destruction with Mufasa here or anything. Really the opposite is the case. Respectful handling with all of them)
- Kiara is to cute to handle
- I think there isn't one new character that I didn't liked. Was even surprised how much I liked Obasi at the end since he seemed to be a total **** at first
- I loved the villains
- Yes, the animals are REALLY expressive this time
- Amazing CGI and landscapes again. Loved all the different biomes
I can only pledge to all of you to give this movie a chance.
I just saw the new mufasa movie and it answers all of our questions about the world of the lion king 😊🎉❤
All very well said
Very well said!

If Mufasa and Scar are presidential candidates, I will always vote for Mufasa in the presidential elections 😅
As for the villain Kiros, it bothered me that we did not see him fighting a fully grown adult lion.
I can’t believe Kion is going to be at the end of the movie which means there might be a lion guard
no there won't be any lion guard. Scar was leader of the guard in his teens and we literally saw his past so the lion guard is not going to be a part of the live action universe (and that's the best decision to make)

@@SupportGamin2024 Nah, it's just his opinion, something u don't believe in :)
Mufasa became king in his own land and SARABI chose him and not TAKA or SCAR

Mufasa was destined to be a king on his own pride rock.
I need to see this now
Taka really is the underdog here he was the one who helped mf uasa shelter and a home through the race
All of the monarchs die in the movie leaving only Mufasa and Taka. It's also the most violent considering how much fighting and killing takes place.
Watching this Tmr or Sunday 😊😊

I deeply hoped taka wouldn’t become scar. Him and Mufasa were extremely close, and threw it all away in anger. Disney did a great job on this, in memory of the great *real* voice actor of Mufasa, rip. I want Disney’s next lion king movie to be either simbas pride, or a another version of this (since it’s already doing so well), but instead, make it to where Mufasa and Taka can save their bond before it’s too late.
This video saves me the time of watching the whole movie.

I loved the movie but I hated that I had to keep explaining to some of my friends that Mufasa did not steal Taka’s birthright.
Taka is the crown prince of his father’s lands in the valley of kings, Mufasa became king of Milele, a completely different location.
Taka could have went back and re-claimed his father’s old territory instead of staying in Mufasa’s kingdom
We Had to watch the whole thing three times just to get it through their thick skulls
At least someone gets it!
Lions take over territory by combat. When kiros kills obasi he becomes the king of that land. There is one time in the movie where kiros says “everything the light touches is mine” but then by the end when mufasa kills him he technically becomes king of kiros’s territory

I personally thought Mufasa the lion king is a good movie. Visually this movie is awesome. It kept true to lion culture.
Well damn I was going to go watch this in the theaters, NVM. thanks for the upload.
Taka proclaimed his self "Scar", Mufasa didn't nicknamed him
Scar saved Mufasa 5 times & yet no one cares smh 🤦🏾♂️

So its all beacuse of sarabi, man scar was right way in lion king 2019.
I watched it yesterday it was my birthday on 20.12
A really good movie , I was surprised.
Who was the little cub a5 the end
Ok i just have to say this i love the movie and all but its JUST UNFAIR
the way taka became scar is so unfair ? Why doesn't mufasa just forgive him like any other good ending films
Yeah am i mad because my geart is broken yeah maybe
Because i see that taka is still good and do good in the end of the movie and he wouldn't be scar if mufasa just said yeah i forgive you lets be kings together
That monument felt overpushed for the sake of making taka becoming scar
I mean mufasa wasn't even talented or anything
When mufasa was a kid he couldn't even swim . He couldn't even beat taka in the race
Its just because mufasa was lucky enough to spend time with the female lions so he could be brave and talented so he could deserve to be the king and have sirabi fell in love with him and be the hero of the story unlike taka he was unlucky enough to stay with his father not allowed to go with the female lions . Heck he even said to his father i do not want to be like you
So what he did something wrong in the end he regret it saved mufasa twice from the white lion and from being drowned he became good not counting when they where kids when he saved his life and welcomed him in his family. And when he became good again even though he was able to just let mufasa die and love happy no he saved mufasa after mufasa beged him to be safed and un the end mufasa didn't forgive him after all this time they been together
WHAT THE HELL MOVIE
i mean the way ge was called scar was brilliant BUT ISN'T THERE A BETTER WAY TO MAKE ME HATE SCAR
MYFASA JUST CAME IN TO HIS LIFE LUCKY ENOUGH BECAME TALENTED CAUSED HIS FAMILY TO DIE TOOK HIM TO A PLACE WHEN MUFASA FIND FAMILY AND TAKA DON'T TOOK THE KING ROLE FROM HIM BECOME THE HERO AND NEVER GOT FORGOT FOR A MISTAKE HE DID MUFASA IS ACTUALLY THE BAD GUY
I mean after all that crap Mufasa is dumb for thinking that Scar will save him at that cliff again in the original lion king
Wish everybody would stop saying that!

Are they making a live action lion guard 😂😂
More accurate they want to include him in simba pride
in Brothers Betrayel u can slowly hear Taka becoming evil
From the beginning, she did not completely obey her husband's arrangements 100%
But she never cultivated her own son Taka. So is a saintly mother like her worthy of being a mother? If she brings up this matter, will she use "husband won't let" as an excuse? If she wants to raise a willing son, she will find a way. If you want to do it, you will find a way. If you don't want to do it, you will find an excuse;
When they say goodbye, she shared a lot with Mufasa, but with Taka, she only said "your brave moment will come", and she never taught her son anything, letting him fight for himself.
The courage of the child who was neglected by his parents since childhood broke out when he saved the male protagonist Mufasa
Taka is a child who suffers because of his parents' irresponsibility.
Let me guess the new cub's name is Kion the leader of the lion guard right? cause there was a show about Kiara's younger sibling, Kion.
Whoa. 🤯 Thx 4 this plot summary 😃 Now I'm more excited to see this movie. It looks very promising
Guys the boy that Simba brought back is name kion
This was an amazing movie. I hope they make a movie about Mufasa being a king and a father. As for Taka, what could go wrong? 😅
The only part that let it down for me was the music
😢 that was a good story
Mufasa survived in all the battles in his life. But not for the traitor scar
No wonder kovu becomes king through kiàra
