I (and all of my black American and other friends attached to the U.S. military and their families) had great experiences in Turkey and would advise anyone who can to travel there. The people are friendly and wonderful. I lost my passport/visa and was able to travel from Izmir to Istanbul to replace it the same day within hours.

No you can't because you have to apply for a residency permit then your employer will apply for a work permit for you
