My sister is coming in May as a carer to work in elderly homes. She was supposed to go UK but Zimbabwe has been added to redlist instead decided to come to Turkey then she can connect from Turkey to UK.

If you have gotten your visa already, you should book for one way ticket. However, if it’s for visa application, you should reserve (not book and pay), round way trip.

How quick can someone get Turkish resident permit when coming into the country?
Hi Yetunde, after you have submitted your application, it takes maximum 2 weeks to get a response (to know if your application has been approved or declined). If it has been approved, it would take maximum 1 month (most of the time, it takes 2weeks), for your residence permit card to be printed and ready for collection.

No, it’s easier getting residence permit as a student, provided you have a student visa and student certificate from your school.

HI Monique, no, you don't need work permit in this regard. Basically, the kind of jobs you'd do in Turkey would be considered student jobs or unskilled jobs. Jobs that require work permit are mostly skilled jobs, which, no employee will give you such jobs except you are highly skilled and valuable to the company. Work permits in Turkey are very expensive. They start from $3,000 a year. Now, imagine if a factory company or call center company would want to hire a foreigner for this kind of role??? As a student, you can only do student jobs in Turkey!

Yes, Chinedu. You are able to get IT related jobs in some companies.

I don’t know, I think it varies from person to person and how they learn languages.
For me, I’ve not really given it my attention- hence, I don’t know it.

Why getting turkey visa is hard?
its not hard, it just depends on what you are going for?
Also, depends on which passport you have, lol. Some countries don’t need visa to enter Turkey.
And also, I believe it’s how strong you make your visa application case. If your documents are not strong enough, it’s difficult to get visa to Turkey.

And the worst is that they don’t give you any reason for the rejection.
But, I think majorly the issue the Turkish Government is having with African migrants is that they come into Turkey and refuse to leave when they’re done with their school/business.
We have SO MANY illegal residents in Turkey, especially Istanbul.
