My first vehicle, of which I started to learn to drive some 18 years ago. At that time the vehicle was already 4 years old; believe me or not, I'm still using it today and sure as hell wouldn't trade it in for any other 4X4 vehicle. We're the best of buddies and I've proven her off road multiple times against some of the latest and more advertised 4X4's.

Have one back in my home land , one of the best 4x4 vehicle. There slow but sure have a ton of power and very dependable. The way I see it is , you don’t need a road it would create it own. Very economical and yes those engine purr and shake due to be only 4 cylinders.
how much did you spend to tune that baby up like That? I have 2001 Toyota Hilux and it isn't in its best shape and I want to fix it and tune it up as much as possible, great truck BTW

why is the motor so still mine is in great condition it has a turbo but that should not make it shake
matty6032 I have an 04 toyota tundra gas engine V8 4.7 litre. The shaking on the engine specially if like you said you have a diesel. Check the timing in the diesel pump in the engine compartment , it might be a little off the timing in the cilinders causing the engine to shake. Another problem could be the bearings in the turbo , night be wearing out and scraping on the insides of the turbo causing the turbine and compressor not to spin uniformly with the engine intake . Another reason vould be the engine mounts . Lose engine mounts or worn out mounts on the rubber bushings , could cause more shaking when the engine is idling.

Nice truck, but what's the point of a diesel engine in a small truck?
Small engine, small fuel consumption,fits it well,runs forever....we have a volkswagen in europe which is a rebadged hilux those pieces of shit can run for a few million easy

I am surprised no headrests on the rear seats.
With no head rests in the rear you get better rear.vision try it & you will see how much better you can see out the back.i did it to my car & know other people that have done it
