I LOVE how you write 'Thank you for the maintenance' regarding the highway workers. Anywhere else in the world we'd be angry they are disrupting a traffic lane. You said a very nice thing.
I thought that too! Elsewhere people would be irate, instead of being grateful for the maintenence allowing the road to be there and passable. Its a matter of perspective, but what a difference it brings 😊
In my country (Eastern Europe, border with Ukraine) there is always maintenance yet the highways are so bad at night cars hitting pot holes in the road damage their cars or run off the road and crash. I damaged my car once because I was on the highway behind a truck and when it hit a hole a piece of it came off and smashed my window shield. Almost killed me. I was on the news. So yes, I’m not going to thank maintenance, or my country’s government and I’ m not happy about the traffic jams either. In Japan roads are smooth, here, maintenance is a joke.
I am learning about Japan just by watching your travel vlogs. Well done. I used to do these long distance travel by bus (not a double decker) when I was younger but insecurity has made it a dangerous expedition. Greetings from Nigeria 🇳🇬🙏
I’m in japan for almost 5years and had so many things that I didn’t experience yet !! Watching this video want me to try this bus and want to travel to Kyoto!! Maybe soon well try this
@@michaelb2047 So he can see if there is someone who wants to leave? He can't exactly use a mirror to see if there's someone in the back who wants to get out, like in normal buses, since they're on the 2nd floor. What he was saying is that, as far as privacy can go in a public space, Japan is very considerate to someone's personal space, more than other countries. I have sat with people who stank of cigarettes on a bus to school and let me tell you, it wasn't pleasant. I'd rather be sitting alone than have a person smelling bad next to me. Take a shower, for fuck sake or at least put on some perfume. The only bad thing that I can point is that in japanese buses is less likely you'll chat with other people on the bus, since everyone seems to be so in their corner in buses like this one and doesn't want to be bothered. Talking to strangers or the driver on the bus was one of the funniest parts of the trip for me.
Hi, I lived in Yokosuka, and Negishi for about 15 years from 95 to 99 and from 2002 to 2012. I your videos make me smile and remember the good times he had in Japan thank you.
I keep coming back to your videos. They are calm, informative, and well edited. I want to someday make the trip to Japan, and you’ve given me ideas of how to spend time there. Keep up the quality content!
Good to hear English announcements ans in many of your videos I have no idea what they are saying except for your descriptions. I really enjoy your videos, thank you for uploading them for us to enjoy
Im so missing Japan, last time i travel there was 2 years ago, exactly before covid came.. i wish have a time soon to go there again.. nice video, looking forward for more !
Wow, it is so much cleaner and more relaxed in Japan than here in the states that taking an 8 hour bus trip out there is not a chore, it is a pleasure. Beautiful cozy looking interior and you picked the best seat. Thank you for taking us along
The Canadian cities of Ottawa and Victoria both operate double-decker busses within the city, but I have never seen one used for long-distance travel. The rest stops in Japan are much nicer than any that I have seen in Canada.
Thanks for your comment. I'd like to take the Canadian double-decker bus someday! I've been to Canada twice, but only in Toronto. (And on a business trip, not a personal trip, haha)
They have them in Edmonton but the transit stations are always filled with junkies so I'm put off from trying it out. Always some shit going down on the LRT too. Fuck it
It seems really a good choice traveling between Tokyo and Kyoto / Osaka alone by bus during the daytime. Mostly I had used Shinkansen or flying commercials , even sharing a rental car driving with friends once. I’d definitely try bus next time. Thank you for the review 🙏.
Thanks for your comment ☺️ wow, you have traveled from Tokyo to Kyoto / Osaka by rental car!?!? It would definitely have been a tough journey... yeah, give it a try! 🚌 And remember, book at the cheapest price from the Kousokubus Net website ☺️
In my experience it might be better to pick the night bus if you can sleep on a bus- assuming you are a tourist, this saves you a day of travel and gets your lodging needs covered.
Thanks for this beautiful video. The road are very neat and clean. The bus is also sophisticated. All the time we Bangladeshi like Japan very very much. May Allah bless Japanese always.🇯🇵🤝🇧🇩

5:24 i can' believe that this is a rest stop and bus terminal with this much quality. I'm jealous.

I heard Lagos is almost identical to Tokyo. Both are super clean and safe and lots of high tech....
@@colors6692 I am sure this being sarcastic 😅. I think Lagos looks more like Mumbai than Tokyo

I love how in Japanese culture privacy is so highly regarded. Individual seats. Each with privacy curtains. So much nicer than in the US
Privacy? There are literally 4 security cameras streaming your face to the bus driver.
