Just hit 70k on my 2015 c300 , I love that car and will probably keep it until it gives up on me 😂 It was my first Benz and first car I got on my own at 18 so it’s sentimental lol
in the 192K miles of ownership what were the common problems or maintenance that you had to do? I got a 2017 c300 love it but already replaced the wiper motor at 51K miles and the AC switch. So I wanted to know what do I need to look out for in the future? I don't mean main maintenance like oil changes, atf changes, brakes ext but other things like electronics, 4 matic system etc that are not common maintenance if they had any issues? If you can list any main maintenance items you had to service in the 192K miles.
@@bandvanrepair4thediymusici636 Mine is a 2015, love it!! warranty covered issue with sunroof, then just replaced CV boots as were identified as cracked. So happy with this car and happy I get to keep it for many more thousands of miles. Beats car payments!
That’s great to know that Mercedes Benz is durable and reliable over 100k miles. I have a 2018 GLC 300 about 66k miles and I love the car, I plan to drive it as long as it can last. I appreciate the video 👍🏾
Very impressive, I’m honestly very surprise. What I would really appreciate and Im sure other people would also appreciate is if you published or made a detailed RUclips video explaining exactly what you did on your car in terms of maintenance to make it last 190,000 miles. Thanks.
I had my C 220D for over 256k miles until i crashed :( The only thing i had to change were break pads and a car battery. Had the car for almost 8 years. Common fault the car has and that i also experienced were that the fake leather cracked on the seat and also the wiper fluid clogged so it stopped working. No wiper fluid came out. Easy fix though. Man i loved that car. Bought a brand new Toyota for the insurance money but i regret it a bit.
Awesome videos! Would you break down the maintenance cost in your final review of this vehicle? It would be helpful to learn the number for new Mercedes owners like myself!
I have 106,000 on My 2011 C300 4matic...I had a subframe issue that MB took care of but, drive shaft, pulleys, blower motor and general items that were fixed on it plus my B service ...My extended warranty cover half of my drive shaft and cv joint but 5,200 dollars later it's fine..
Yeah... I wondered that myself. But I know from having worked at a Mercedes-Benz dealership that it is a natural characteristic of the sound of the 2-liter turbocharged powerplant.
Ummm, I don’t know about that… check out the NHTSA website and look at the complaints for this model … me and many others had the same sound which is actually not normal (despite what everyone says ) the newer models don’t make that sound and I got my engine replaced with one that was from Mercedes’ Benz and was made this year . I had the same diesel sound and it turned out being more like a piston slap…. Look it up here on RUclips … you’ll be surprised . Your piston can crack at any moment so be careful… mine cracked at only 51,000 miles and many others had the same issue. My new Mercedes’ engine doesn’t make that sound anymore as Mercedes’ finally figured that out and took care of the wrist pin problem. But yeah, if you look at the ratings , this is actually the worst model year you can buy. I’m happy that you didn’t have to go through all the trouble some of us did with this car but that sound just isn’t normal and I’m so glad my car doesn’t sound like that anymore . It is a beautiful car , the upgraded sound system sounds amazing but just try to avoid this model year if possible and go with like a 2017 or newer . Not trying to offend anyone btw
@@JrBetancourtcom yeah I think it’s common problem on 2015 cuz it is the first year of this engine. Same thing happened to the A250 first model year as well. The later model year has every thing sorted out
Hi! I just bought a 2015 C 300. I’m not looking to spend 200-500$ on an oil change. Is there any place you would recommend me to go that uses the same oil? And do you go to the Benz dealership to do all routine maintenance?
Greetings Isaac, Congratulations on your purchase. Yes, I always try to take my C300 to the Mercedes dealer for routine maintenance whenever possible. However, I once experience a situation (at 140K miles) when I was traveling out of town and it was on the weekend that my 'check oil' light came on. This was the first time it occurred so when I checked my oil level it appeared to be a little low. All Mercedes dealers were obviously closed at the time. So when I checked my owner's manual it indicated 5W-40 synthetic motor oil is required. Using my cell phone I went online to research which brand I could safely use. And I discovered that Mobil 1 European Car Formula is ok. As I said earlier, this was the first time it occurred so when I put in about two quarts it was fine. And I am happy to report that it was the only time that this occurred. Isaac, I understand your concern about wanting to save money on maintenance and repairs. So I suggest you do a google search for the Top 10 Mercedes-Benz Repair Shops that feature Mercedes-Benz Specially Trained Technicians in your area. You will most likely discover that the shop uses only genuine Mercedes parts, and they will typically be priced below the dealer's maintenance service cost.
You can find any Indy shop, here in Canada it costs me $120 for oil and filter, probably about $90 US for Liqui-Moli oil change. Some of them might use Motul and it’s good as well, as long as it is Euro car spec and meet 229.5 MB spec. Other brands could be Mobil1 or Quaker State Euro Spec 5w40. Cheers
