.｡*ﾟ+.*.｡ a few weeks of what my life looks like　ﾟ+..｡*ﾟ+
~ come to work with me! Here’s what a typical work day looks like for me. I usually do anywhere between 4-5 tattoos during a work day. I didn’t include all of the designs I did today, mainly because some of them were extremely simple. Depending on what day it is, the shop can get pretty busy or like today, relatively slow. We have around 14 artists working at the shop so sometimes I can get hectic. But I really do love my tattoo fam 💕. I mentioned it in the video, but the art hanging in the station is my station mates who I share that space with. We are expanding this summer so I’ll be able to have my own station and put up my own art then. I’ll also start selling prints again when I have the space! I also thought it was important to show everything that comes with tattooing. Including the downsides. I don’t think I know an artist who doesn’t see a physical therapist or a massage therapist. Tattooing 30+ hours a week can take quite a toll on the body. Being constantly hunched over, holding a vibrating machine, arms having to be strong enough to pull tattoo lines and stretch skin, concentrating at 100% for hours on end. It can really be tiring. But I know that comes with the job and I’m okay with it because I love what I do.

Hi hi! Just wanted to drop a recommendation for body pain for tattooers and anybody else- Take Magnesium Bisglycinate. My neck and back got so bad I nearly had to quit tattooing. Like spasming more often than not. Pain would make me cry at least once a week. I got bloodwork done by a naturopath who put me on Magnesium Bisglycinate right away and my life has changed immensely. Also get your other vitamins and minerals checked too with bloodwork(iron, B vitamins, D) ask for a full panel; it literally saved my career and gave me back my life in so many ways. Also, tattooers need to stop skipping lunches while working, it's what gave me a bunch of deficiencies that took doctors AGES to find and that made me so sick for YEARS. This artist's self-care regimens are so beautiful to see, but it's so rare that tattooers take care of themselves like this. Now that I know how badly the toxic hustle culture in the industry can affect someone's health- I tell everybody, and have seen other peoples' health improve after getting their bloodwork done and such. And to this artist- Thanks for making such lovely content! It's very cozy and great representation for the importance of self-care and has inspired me to do more, myself! 💕
