Most Indian commenters who aren't satisfied with the narrative concerning the so-called "upper caste/class" missed the point. Many are saying that nobody gives a damn about caste in modern-day India but they hesitated to say further "except marrying with Dalits." How can they say that since Dalits and other underprivileged communities, including women, are given a lot of reservations in government jobs and thus, most capable and educated Indians (who are predominantly "upper caste/class") are so frustrated that they want to go abroad for a brighter future. Of course, Indian law doesn't recognize "upper" or "lower caste/class" nowadays. But what this video argues is that this is still being practiced culturally by most so-called upper castes.
Also, not only Brahmins have progressed abroad but in the field that requires education (medical, engineering etc), they are dominating. Generally, non-Dalits and those who aren't from underprivileged communities are dominating the Indian diaspora's success. Also, Hindus are far ahead of Muslims, according to data published by many research. You can search on Google.
Some have commented without watching the whole video. Please watch the full video. Maybe you'll agree with most points except "Brahmin" or other upper caste.

Muslims being backward than all other communities in this field just like other fields ( except the field of terrorism of course ) - is due to -
Their having / conceiving more children in their families (of course just to overtake the populations of other religions )
Many of them having more than one wife
Being filled with hatred against other religionists and calling other religionists as kafirs or non-believers ( due to preachings like that in their religion , their book and their prophet )
Misogyny i.e. discrimination against women followed by them - in terms of dressing , marriage and family and property rights to women etc.

This is why half knowledge is the most dangerous thing, what you said in the video is half-truths but what you don't understand is India was in the situation that it was because the barbaric british rule, the Brahmins, Shiks and other communities so those communities received the mercy of the brits are well off but other mostly the Sudras and Dalits treated as slaves. But before the islamic and european invasion of India the Sudras are the major taxpayers of the country along with the Vaisyas, the Brahmins were always lived as service providers and not allowed to own lands (even in the gifted to them they are only allowed to collect taxes not own it permanently), Kshatriyas are soldiers/ruling class both dont have means to make income expect for the tax money and Dalits are the people who lived mostly in forest but when british expanded the farmlands they destroyed the forest so many dalits lost their home so british settled them inside towns and cities with other communities which created friction between Dalits and non-Dalits

India was the global #1 economy until about a millennia ago when Islamic & European colonization and looting of India happened. When India got its independence in 1947, it was left impoverished by the British. Britain looted $45T from India over 250 years. Not a penny has been returned. Indians focus of education and that helps them in upward mobility. India is the only land that provides special benefits to Scheduled Castes or Tribes, unlike all Western nations. Indians abroad do not wallow in caste. Video fixates on this archaic idea put in place by the British and still practiced in UK's royalty and noble families! India will become #1 again because working hard is ingrained in the people. Indians are also law abiding, aspirational, big achievers, bringing esteem where they live and take pride in their new homeland while still enjoying visits and connections in India.

@@koopeigwer8072 IF u are Indian, shame on you for not knowing even the basics, bruh.
But, if u aren't, then I'll tell u: NO. They didn't "turn into castes", u have no idea what caste and class means, lol.
It's like saying, "upper-class" turned into caste. Middle-class is a caste: How foolish.
Caste discrimination did/does exist, but these are classes, not castes. The discrimination started after certain castes started being associated with certain classes. For ex: A Brahmin's children would most likely be Brahmin, etc, etc. Children following in the footsteps of the father.
But, that overtime meant that certain castes would almost always be in the lower class and that stereotyping became more rigid than it should have. And discrimination started based on that.
Sometimes, certain rulers would promote this & legitimize it further...other times, they would "abolish" this & be more fair (this is the part u're never taught). Certain Gurus would teach everybody regardless of their social status, but others would only teach upper class students. U're taught about the latter, but not the former.
In short, discrimination existed, but caste system is not what it was. Class system is the appropriate word, and that existed EVERYWHERE, albeit in different forms. Y'all just had slavery On TOP OF THAT as well, and that's why u twisted this in such a manner that u could make ppl believe that it was akin to slavery when it wasn't even close.

Some have not accepted dowry and others have accepted, despite saying they don't want anything. The parents do it as a gift to the newly wedded couple , so they an auspicious start to their lives together. The boys side gift the girl a MANDAL SUTRA out if gold which is damn expensive. MANDAL SUTRA is something Hindu married women wear. And after marriage, both sets of parents gift things to the couple on occasions and say when a baby is born or birthdays or on Diwali etc . Eg One family friend gifted his son and daughter-inlaw $250k AUD towards a house when they moved to Australia.
Yes, there will be scrupulous people, but don't think that is the norm. And as mentioned, there are gifts from the boy side during marriage and gifts from both sets of parents after marriage. You need to keep complete context and cannot generalise.

Indian immigrants in the 1960s and 1970s were mostly doctors and engineers. Many South Indian immigrants in those days were Brahmins. One of the primary reasons for them to migrate to the USA was caste discrimination in Tamil Nadu and other south Indian states. I dont know why majority of western media and youtubers are so obsessed with hindus caste. Other than reservation quota for so called lower caste people, caste doesnt play any role in India nowadays. Since "upper caste" hindus do not get any reservation in any job or college admission, they have to study really hard. And since they have studies much more harder than reserved category, they easily succeed globally. Also fyi, originally there was no birth based caste system in hinduism, it was like job occupation where people are free to change like we change job, but gradually due to cultural nepotism it became birth based.

There was never a bharat empire outside of the far north west where that aryan kingdom was about 3500y ago encompassing parts of Afghanistan Pakistan and north west India.

The kohinoor was a diamond that emerged from depths of a volcano in Amdhra Pradesh and somehow it got stolen or looted by other kingdoms and eventually made its way to punjab (maybe looted by them) and they gave it to the British arguably under pressure or to please. Kohinoor belongs to Britain today. They rightfully got ownership and so it belongs to them. Re mahabahrat it was written by the aryans of Central Asia who took over north India in waves of migration over several hundred years and brought Sanskrit and wrote vedas. It was a story written by them likely based on some small event or maybe just their entertainment. Unless you’re implying they were incapable of making stories. Like today we have Avengers. Doesn’t mean it is real even if you read about it 2000y from now.
      Same with the mahabahrat.

India was several hundred kingdoms that British stitched into one India and Pakistan and Nepal and Bhutan and Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and Kashmir and Myanmar etc.

As for Brahmin, I narrowed it down to only a few fields like IT, engineering, medicine etc where higher education is required. Since many are in these fields, what is wrong with talking about that? This, however, doesn't apply to other communities like Gujarati and Marwadis who mainly choose business as a profession.
And yeah, I agree with you that any society that prioritizes education and hard work succeeds.

Human relationships don't work in logic, it's irrational. If the girl's family is in India and gives a dowry to her husband's family living abroad, that helps. If both are in the same country, even that empowers them. That's because they save their money and property to spend on marriage, dowry, and children's future. They don't just throw away their money on unnecessary things. Also, since a lot of dowry has already been given to the husband's family, they can't divorce no matter how bitter their marriage is. That may be bad for their relationship but immensely good for their children who will be raised in a very convenient environment (financially) compared to those Westerners who live with single mothers or with stepdad etc. Culture is very complex, it doesn't follow logic.

@@als2cents679 My point is proven across all regions and at all times. What about yours? Is it proven? Ask yourself: Will you look after your parents if they decide to give half of their property to someone you don't know? You may say "Yes!" but reality is hard. Even Western society was the same as Indian even 100 years ago. However, these socialists and welfare policies disintegrated their families. Nowadays, it's all "independent culture" in most Western countries, especially Europe and North America.

@@MoneyDoubtsbro you clearly don't know anything, poor people here who doesn't have any property still look after there parents. We are not western's who doesn't care of parents when we hit 18years

@@MoneyDoubts But it is not that way in India. There is a culture of gratitude and respect for your parents. My parents took care of me when I was young and couldn't take care of myself, so why would I not take care of them when they need my help. Plus it is not really transactional relationship in India.
Now if I did have deadbeat parents who pretty much did not care for me, then I might think different, but this is usually not the case in India.

It is simple first we are very hardworking and western nations are capitalist so how much hardworking you are is directly proportional to successfully you become in your life and second for success you should also be intelligent and the Indian who went there are mostly high IQ Indian specially from an top institute such as IIT and ofcourse the most important point out parents Indian parents are very caring and they will not spend a single penny on themselves just to make sure there children gets higher education and focus on there study instead of working in burger King and making burger which will have zero influence on there life in future instead of focus on education.

Brahmins by large are a brilliant community, you look at any school mostly the first 5 ranks are always cornered by brahmins. Succesive generations giving priority for education, abstaining from alchohal and meat eating has developed the brain and they are ahead in. science, technoology, literature and fine arts.

It's not fair to say that Indians are risk averse. If that be the case how come today India is fifth largest economy?Surely Indian entrepreneurs & businessmen and not foreigners are driving India's growth.Particularly Marwaris & Gujaratis.Mukesh Ambani a Gujarati industrialist is the richest man of India. Perhaps Asia also. Not to exclude the Parsis who are not far behind. The Tatas are pioneers who set up Indias first steel plant Tata Motors originally called TISCO during British rule .The House of Tatas- , the salt to software conglomerate- is the biggest brand in India and have taken over Britains iconic car makers Jaguar land Rover( JLR) and rescued Britain's corus steel plant facing bankruptcy. There are other businessmen also - Gautam Adani, the Godrej family, the Birlas one of the oldest business houses, the Bajajs, the Goenkas, the Mahindras and more. Its no accident that the Hindujas are Britains richest family.Practically almost all of Indias growth is driven by Indians.Additionally there are other businesses from medium to small to micro that are run by Indians. They form the backbone of Indian economy. Notably PM Modi was a small time tea vendor in his youth. Not only India but across the world from small time retailers to big businesses Indians have a strong presence.Almost all motels in US are run by Gujaratis from India.Indias neighbour Pakistan couldn't develop economically despite being mineral - rich country, due to lack of entrepreneurs and political stability caused by army's stranglehold over the ill- fated country.During British colonial rule Indias economy suffered its worst fate.To promote its trade & economy Britain deliberately threw a spanner in the works destroying Indias trade and commerce. They imported cheap machine made cloth and textiles which crippled poor Indian handloom weavers The handlooms of the weavers were smashed by British policemen destroying their livelihood, just one example of British ruthlessness against poor Indian craftsmen who became landless agricultural workers. In former times Indian merchants and traders did brisk business with countries in South East Asia.Importing spices and exporting silks etc.
In the modern time wrong policies of Congress PM Jawaharlal Nehru after independence which leaned towards Socialism stunted it's growth.Businesses and industries were subjected to rigorous state control also called licence permit raj which stifled and throttled Indian businesses , her slow rate of growth was derisively called Hindu rate growth.Only after the opening up the economy and partly dismantling the control regime and pursuing free market policy in 1991 the Indian economy was able to shake off the shackles, but still it needs to accelerate growth to come anywhere near the rich countries of Europe and US.

As long as India has reservation policy in educational institutions and in job opportunities only other countries benefit from real brilliant students who come out of our education system. They only know how rotten education system un India is and how it disrespects talent .They only know how difficult it is to get a seat in the education institutions in the first place and forget about job opportunities in India. They are thankful to God that somehow they completed basic graduate education and by the next opportunity they flock abroad to improve and better they academic qualifications and eventually job opportunities as well. Though they want to work in india they prefer to work abroad so that their children do not suffer their fate in getting education and job opportunities in India.
Actually Education system is so rotten that 97 percent of total scholarships awarded by Central and State goverments and various Universities to students are given to those based on their castes not on merit. So it is natural for Indian students to search for opportunities abroad for their merit. In coming days it is going to be worse as most political parties are eager to include more castes under Dalit/backward caste/Very backward caste category and pass laws to make reservations more than the stipulated quota set by Supreme Court ruling.Already some states like Tamilnadu enacted laws to provide more than seventy percent reservations.

India is not developing because of the reservations.
Let me explain. In America if there are 100 seats in a TOP College or Any TOP organizations. All 100 seats will be filled with brilliant minds. In India, the reserved seats will be filled with inferior minds. This hurts India as 100 out of 100 people are not super sharp. It reduces the productivity of colleges, organizations and untimately the country.
