The original composers for The Merry-go-round Broke Down cartoon theme were: Carl Stalling until his retirement in 1958, then Milt Franklyn until 1961, and finally William Lava from 1963 until 1969 when the animation studios were closed and produced by DePatie-Freleng Productions and even when Warner Bros. made alliance with Seven Arts.

The professional musicians in the orchestras employed by the major Hollywood movie studios always found that the cartoon musical soundtracks were the most difficult and exhausting to perform because they were so fast-paced, and the styles changed so abruptly and so frequently.
With the great Warner Bros musicians like the great Carl Stalling and his predecessors like Milt Franklyn and Bill Lava. And the musicians for the classic Warner movies like Casablanca and the Errol Flynn Robin Hood movie we’re done by Max Steiner. Modern musicians like John Debney, John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, Randy Newman and the late Jerry Goldsmith are very well known and popular musicians for movies

Does anyone else notice that you can tell which series is which from the different rings? The merrie melodies has much thinner rings with a larger circle in the middle, while looney tunes has thicker rings and a smaller circle.
And the intro for merrie melodies is the more famous version of the looney tunes intro.
@@kyleanimationstudiosbirthd9186 no it isn't lol everything since the original series has used the looney tunes theme song, almost nothing used the merrie melodies one. Just for one example, who framed roger rabbit uses the looney tunes song twice and doesn't use the merrie melodies song at all.

It looks like they were used somewhat interchangeably.
No? Both were used for the same amount of time, in the same amounts, and after the original series ended the looney tunes one is basically the only one to be used. The looney tunes one is more memorable

I thought of the plot: After a fire burns Bugs Bunny's Rabbit hole, Bugs Bunny desperately wants a new rabbit hole built without fires destroying his home. After Bugs Bunny is heard that it will take 5 years for the rabbit hole to be complete, he bursts out, crying, because he thinks he may never get a new home. He desperately asks, "What am I going to do, since my rabbit hole was on fire?" He is then heard to stay at Sylvester and Tweety's house until further notice. Bugs warns Sylvester that if he eats Tweety, Bugs will tell Granny to punish Sylvester by hitting him with her broom in his head. Sylvester starts crying and begs bugs not to tell Granny to punish him. Bugs gives him a chance to behave right and not eat Tweety. 5 years later, he has a brand new fireproof rabbit hole where he can enjoy eating carrots all day.
