Good reminder that preparation is so helpful especially when watercolor dries so fast. The drying time affects everything we paint.

Leds with 5000K Temperature and at least 3000 to 4000 lumens (that one, depends on the room size etc,but the temperature, must always be 5000K, for studios where artists do paint or use any kind of non monochromatic kind of art)

Sometimes my biggest obstacle to starting is when I hear my inner voice saying "what's the point/purpose of painting?"

You don't need a specific purpose like to sell a painting or make something special.. Paint for fun!

I'm new to this. Why did you wet the back of the paper?

A lot of artist do this to stretch the paper, so that they can paint wet on wet, so the paper doesn't buckle

Just go paint. Even if you never think you will get this good, you will enjoy your time.

I cringe when I hear “rule of thirds.” Leonardo never used it. None of the Old Masters used it because it wasn’t “invented” until the late 1700s. The Old Masters used sacred geometry. The rule of thirds isn’t even related and leaves out much of the magic of sacred geometry. It’s a shortcut like abstract “art” is a shortcut to art.
