- Song is "Asphalt Cowboy" by Jason Aldean... This is the life of a trucker, being away from the ones that they love, just driving and driving and driving till its time to go home again. We miss the holidays, special events such as birthdays and anniversarys. We spend more time in our truck than anywhere else, and get home a couple of days every couple of weeks. Listen to the song really closely, Jason Aldean did a really good job on this song. This is me driving down Donner's Pass in California, through Arizona, and the first little bit coming into Texas.
my husband is a trucker, i listen to this song on and off when hes gone, i miss him alot! i couldnt be more prouder to be his wife and the mother of his children
As a driver myself I blare this song on those lonely nights when we never know what lies beyond our highbeams and just want to be home with our families.. Keep it real drivers and remember keep the shiney side up and the greasey side down 10-4
I too am a trucker's wife. My heart goes out the the families of trucker's who miss birthday's, anniversaries, and holidays. My Trucker has been trucking almost 15 year now. His dad was a trucker, my grandfather was a trucker as well as my uncle. I appreciated everything they did while driving. As someone else posted It's the trucker's who keep America moving. Keep up the great work our ASPHALT COWBOYS.
Im a female truck driver and my boyfriend listens to this song when he misses me even tho its from the eyes of a guy being on the road! Thank you so much for posting!
My husband is a trucker and it's hard on the whole family. But extremly proud of my asphalt cowboy 1 million miles accident and ticket free. Please respect the truckers without them you have nothing no food, no clothes, no lumber for building houses, and no food. And most of their trucks our set by the company to only go 62mph so don't honk and don't pull in front of them. Because those men have little ones to come home to just like you.
i drive a tow truck and i spend so many hours on the road.when i hear this song it makes me cry i miss my kids and wife.i keep it movin cus people like you would never get your broke down car home.to vincent, zackary and amanda i love you guys this songs for you.ill be home soon i love you.

God's speed to all you truckers, be safe out there!
My grandpa drove truck for 47 years. R.I.P. buddy. love ya
My dad is a trucker and has been my whole life. I respect him more than any man. He works harder than anyone I know and even though he isn't home all week, he and my mom are still so in love. Its a way of life for my family.

Great video to one of the best truck driving songs. The end of the video was nice, made me smile
I've been trucking since 1979. Missed seeing 4 kids growing up, 1 wife dieing of cancer, and yes, it is a very hard lifestyle. In the last 30+ years, i have had a total of maybe a year and a half of off duty time at home. For you newbies out here, don't let the company run you in the ground. If you need time off for whatever reason, tell them, and make sure you keep on them about your time off at home, and not some truck stop in B F Egypt.
We are the heartbeat of america if the trucks stop rollin america stops..
Asphalt Cowboy for life....
you've captured the feeling of the song in this video perfectly your a diamond hun
thats why i got out of driving trucks. i do not miss being gone all the time. thank god for the experience i did have and the skills i have obtained over the course of 5 years floating gears and jakin' the down grades.

i can relate coming from a family of truckers and being a driver myself and to all truckers out there much respect and stay safe and ill catch ya on the flip flop. william
my ole man and I worked for michael waltrip. Dad hauled his race cars to the track and I was mechanic for him. people think anyone in nascar has it made, not true. I saw my dad work 120 hours a week stocking and driving the truck and working on the car. He was a truck driver for 20 years with a little over 2 million miles and no wrecks or tickets. He busted his ass to see me go to school. Dad passed away 3/27/09 two weeks after my 18th b-day. Now i'm on a full academic scholarship to NC State.

Tht morning shot was one of those moments when god paints the sky(arizona or Texas)
Donner :)
Also have 3 million accident/incident free miles under my belt. Still at it, and probably will be till the day i die
wish I had a dollar for every time I had to take lead down that damn pass.. I got some video of me on loveland pass I think I might put it up
nope looks like a freightliner columbia. The steer axle on these new aero trucks are set so far back that it seems pretty much like a cabover. U bareley c the hood. I drive a Peterbilt 387. Same way.
aww aren't you nice let swift over
Is that the desert in west Texas? I been out that way. No freight comes out of Texas for flat bed trucks . Thats what I drive.
Please watch GUNDAD COWBOY VIDEO, FT. JASON ALDEAN
@txcountrygirl89 If it makes you feel any better , I am a daughter of an asphalt cowboy . He's gone all of the time .
No freight for flat beds comes out of Texas???? Better find a different company. All i pull are open deck trailers, IE: flat bed, lowboy and Conestoga. I live in San Antonio, and have never had a problem getting freight for a flatbed in Texas.
How fast are you allowed to go with your trucks?
@Butch1950chevy
people say we dont need truckers.well i say to that u take truckers out of this world the world will come to a stop quick as hell
aint that the truth
u couldent have done it from a horse!?!?!
