Rather than bring dishwashing detergent, I wet a new sponge, soap it up with Dawn, and let it dry. Then I cut it in quarters and put them in a ziplock. Perfect size and cleans everything from tumblers to stained clothing.
You are so right! I haven't been on a cruise yet. I hope November 2023 will be my first time!! I'm excited just listening to this precious couple talk!!! Happy sailing!!☀️
If they act like they can't make change. I act like once you get some change come back and see me. I ain't carrying making it rain money 🤣 Great video and thanks for doing a video on this subject.
Something I take in addition to what you guys have is portable fan , small blanket , thermals, plastic black straws , drink pouches , disinfecting wipes , tide pods to wash and sleeves for birth certificate travelers . I actually thought about vlog since I’m almost platinum but I cruise solo a lot 🫠😶🌫️
We started bringing detergent strips! On the last night I grab a kindle e-reader, a drink from the Atrium bar, and do laundry. Having clean clothes packed for the trip home is awesome. I also squirt liquid dish detergent on reusable towels, let them dry, cut them into squares, and pack them for nightly cleaning of my tumbler.
What Y'all said lol I also like magnetic or 3m hooks to hang extra towels or the lanyards. The closed toe water shoes are everything and a must have. You never know if a beach is going to be rocky. If you snorkel bring your own stuff. Carry hand sanitizer wipes to the buffet to wrap around the utensils and the condiment bottles and jars. Deck of cards.
Luggage tag holders are clutch. Just went on a cruise with my BFF - she was making fun of me for getting the luggage tags holders and printing out our luggage tags. We get to the port and smoothly drop off our bags amid the folks running around looking for luggage tags - ha! A lot of the packing list stuff out there is unnecessary and a bit much - but if Lynette and Stanley say you should bring it, it is the real deal.
Just returned from first cruise on Carnival Freedom. Your list was a great help! One thing I’d add is extra undies because you change clothes/bathing suits often and you might want to feel fresh each time. Thanks for tips!!
The sunscreen that I like to use is black girl sunscreen! The children’s one is cheaper so it’s perfect if you wanna save your money for the cruise and now on pricey sunscreen!
I would say a head scarf because I’m natural and one of the days I didn’t feel like untwisting my twists from the night before, but I looked like Celie from the color purple so I had the take them out to go out. Lol! Had I had my cute head wrap I could have just tied my hair up really cute!
Funny you mentioned bring a belt. Mine broke on my first cruise. The shops on the Carnival Freedom didn't have any. I asked one of the guys that came on the cruise with us. He didn't have one either. I had to wait till we got to Jamaica to find a belt
My mother found out that (on Carnival and Princess as of today), the automatic gratuity they add to your bill at the end of the cruise is NOT mandatory. This is good, because I prefer to tip the workers in cash, and it is more likely that they can keeps their own tips that way. If they are paid through the ship, they pool the tips between everyone. There were people who went above and beyond for me, and I wanted to personally show my appreciation. I like the feeling of putting the cash in their hand and saying THANK YOU! All you have to do is go to guest services and request that they remove the gratuity. I understand why they do it the way they do, because people from different countries, cultures, etc. may not be used to tipping. There are also folks who are just plain cheap which is a shame. I also like to tip cash on the first day of the cruise. It is a good way to let the staff know that you are generous to people who treat you well. ✊🏾
I’m from a part of the world where tipping is not common. People are paid accordingly, so for that part of the world, other than the USA & Canada, it’s best that it is included.
I question who the gratuity actually getting to the people I deem worthy but I also don't want to miss any of the behind the scenes people (do those behind the scene get tips?) So I'm torn on what to do. I would love to know who you are supposed to tip as well. It's all so complicated for me
To get smaller bills in case you forget, just go to the casino….no need to tell them what you want it for. Another oral med for seasickness in Bonine. But you may need to start it the day before the cruise for the best effect.
Happy to hear that...as i am doing the same. My first and solo cruise for my 55th this November. Was a little worried... Wish yours would turned out wonderful! 🌷🌷🌷
110 days until my first cruise!! Y’all were the first people I found when I started doing research and you’ve been so helpful!! Can’t wait to be the most prepared and have the best time, thanks to y’all!! 💗
Its been over 10 years since my last cruise and I’ve scheduled one for next year. All the tips are spot on. I also enjoy your interaction. I love to see couples who obviously enjoy each other so much.
You guys are hilarious! 2 UP 2 DOWN, VA baby! ❤ I would suggest leaving your favorite corkscrew at home. Carnival confiscates them now and you have to call room service to get your bottle uncorked. 😢 & I don’t know if this rule has changed in the last two years, but you can also put prepackaged snacks/candy in your luggage too. 😉
Y'all crack me up😂😂 When he said "drop the kids at the pool" I laughed so loud I woke my hubby up🤣🤣🤣. GREAT tips! Somethings I didn't think about🤔. We r cruising on Virgin in 2 weeks😁 🚢
Hey teenager here 😂 thank you guys so much for helping me learn all of this stuff it’s 40 days until me and my family’s cruise and you guys have been a huge help ❤
I’m so glad I found your videos. I’m a first time cruiser and love information. I think I have watched about 10 videos of yours and taken notes and making my check list. Thank you so much. Can’t thank you enough.
I love yall! You're the fun auntie and uncle! First cruise in December 2022. I've been sending all of your videos to the group. I'm ready thanks to yall!
Hi, going on my very first cruise next month, I've been researching dos & don'ts...I've stumbled across y'all videos now I know exactly what to do. Thank you guys so much for helping ease my level of anxiety. God Bless❤❤❤
We try to pack light so although the cost per load is around $3.50 to wash then again to dry, we run a load of laundry after about day 3 to rewear items. So we pack a laundry pod or two and a dryer sheet or two which also help keep shoes smelling fresh.
Y’all need to come on sunshine ☀️ March 31 2024!! Y’all would make our first cruise the best ever!! I am currently binge watching every video of y’all!!
Remember for the birth certificate it must match the driver’s license. If you are married you must have your marriage license. ( happened to me !) Just get a passport so you don’t have to worry about it!!
I’m planning on taking some Dawn Spray-and-Wash and putting some in a travel size spray bottle to wash our water bottles out. First cruise is in 70 days!
There are cool carrying cases that hold ALL your documents in one spot. Passport, license, vaccination card, etc. I bought mine from Amazon, but they have them in other stores as well. Makes it easy to keep all documents in one spots when getting on or off the boat.

I love you guys! I would like to request that you include info for RC too. I know this is mostly for carnival but you guys provide the clearest cruising info out there. 😉
Your videos have helped me so much to prepare!! I'm taking my first cruise in a couple of months and I want to be as prepared as I possibly can. I love your energy and thank you so much for making these videos!!!!
when I say this video was PERFECT!!!!! We been on a ton of cruises BUT this video gave us so much items we never even thought to pack. WE APPRECIATE YOU! 💙Quanda💚
I've watched this video on and off a bunch of times. Very helpful. One thing I would add is an mp3 player and headphones, since I tend to get bored sitting on a chair all day. The newer players last 10-18 hours on a single charge.
You still have to use Sign and Sail ultimately, you have to add Cruise Cash to it. I don't recommend it unless you know you are going to use it in full because although it's not impossible to cash it out but I'd rather use my own cash or credit card.
You guys are great! Getting ready 4 my first cruise in a few week, and I had so many unanswered questions. So glad I came across your page. Keep up the good work guys.New sub here.
I got the Fanny pack and the extension cord and I love it. Now it’s time to book a vacation to put the Fanny pack in use. I’m already using the c port extension cord 😂😍 Thank you
25 days tills my cruise and Im livid to have found y’all!! I thought I was prepared but now I understand the assignment 😂 Thanks for your very informative videos! 💕
When it comes to your medication make sure that any type of prescription pain medication you are required to carry that in it’s original prescription bottle.
Thank you for the informative video. Just had my first cruise in February and got most of those things right forgot my phone charger and didn’t bring enough contact lenses to carry me through- I didn’t count the day before at the hotel and the last day at my relative’s house. You could add to your list if a person wears contact lenses bring your glasses as a back up just in case of an eye problem while on the ship. I had no problems with my eyes but when I ran short on the lenses I had to wear my glasses the last day. I printed your list so I’m ready for the next cruise.
Hey Lynette & Stanley! I'm rewatching this video. Great tips! the only one that I didn't have was the non-surge protector. I've always been bringing a regular power strip until Carnival took it out of my bag on a cruise last November. I'm going to order one from Amazon right now. I'm going to Alaska on the Carnival Spirit next week!
I am so appreciative of this video. Your list of essential things to bring was beneficial. I’ve cruised before, but some items were not even a thought. I wrote my list and will use it. I travel in 39 days to the Bahamas. I added items to my Amazon order today. Thank you.
Hey Lynette and Stanley. I won't be cruising any time soon but I do take multiple road trips throughout the year. There are few things I could use from this list to help scale down the luggage. Thanks! 😊
Take a shot every time Stanley says man😂 also our first cruise will be in nov/Dec for our honey moon and we are wearing our wedding dress/suit for formal night!! Haha why the heck not!
Hey yall! Just started following you guys about a month ago. Going on my first cruise in June out of Galveston and your content has helped a lot. So excited because it's my Bday, and I'll be traveling with siblings I've just recently met. Love you guys and Lynette trust you will always get great service at my Labcorp location here in Houston❤️
@@andreabrown3353 I'm going June 2nd-6th on the Breeze, Cozumel. Wont run into you this time, but I've booked again in Oct this year, same boat. I hope you have a Hot Girl Summer.
Could someone explain the holds they put on your card? I'm going on my 4th cruise in a few months & still don't know how to explain the "holds" they put!! Also, would you recommend linking your sail & sign card to your debit card or add cash to your card once on board? Love the videos yall! Thanks in advance 🥰💓
The holds they place on your card are usually a issue with the debit cards. There isn't an easy way to explain it because it goes off of your spending habits onboard, they can and will periodically hold different increments just to make sure that you can settle up at the end of your cruise. Kinda like pre-authorizing your card BUT those holds can take up to 2 weeks to fall off of your bank account. Always fund with cash or your credit card.
@@ernellespriggs5710 they have a kiosk on board, you swipe your sail&sign card & you account pops up. You can look at all transactions made with that card, from there you can add cash on card or remove cash from card. Example I won $100 at bingo, automatically it is transferred to your sail&sign card, i wanted the cash for cozumel the next day, I was able to withdraw the cash from my account via kiosk! I hope this helps

Or have one hard copy and one saved in the cloud.
Or send a copy of your passport to your travel agent…. I have copies of all my clients passports when they leave.
Make a paper copy on copy machine.. Or take a picture send it to people back home. I keep a paper copy in my luggage and in the stateroom’s safe.
Great ideaa
Just a tip on clothes that need ironing/steaming: Hang them in the bathroom when you take a shower, it'll knock out a lot of the wrinkles.

I am so appreciative of this video. Your list of essential things to bring was beneficial. I’ve cruised before, but some items were not even a thought. I wrote my list and will use it. I travel in 39 days to the Bahamas. I added items to my Amazon order today. Thank you.
I'm going on a cruise and your camera recorder were did you get it and medicine box.

This was the best! I leave this morning. 😊Thanks guys 😊
Hey Lynette and Stanley. I won't be cruising any time soon but I do take multiple road trips throughout the year. There are few things I could use from this list to help scale down the luggage. Thanks! 😊
Sounds great!
I purchased a collapsible cup. Also we have a travel size iron we take with us.
Take a shot every time Stanley says man😂 also our first cruise will be in nov/Dec for our honey moon and we are wearing our wedding dress/suit for formal night!! Haha why the heck not!
I love it ✔️

My job is stressful... Based on your videos i booked a 4 day cruise on Carnival Sunrise. Love the videos, my wife and I are big fans.
Don't let the job stress you out, stress the out instead lol. Aww thank you.
Missed you guys😍🙂
Heyyy
@@LifeWithUsTV hello.😍🙂
@@LifeWithUsTV thank you so much!! That makes so much sense now
@Sandra Reed thank you for the explanation 💓
What if you use cash, how do you get whatever amount back if you don't use the whole amount for the sail and sigh card?
@@ernellespriggs5710 they have a kiosk on board, you swipe your sail&sign card & you account pops up. You can look at all transactions made with that card, from there you can add cash on card or remove cash from card. Example I won $100 at bingo, automatically it is transferred to your sail&sign card, i wanted the cash for cozumel the next day, I was able to withdraw the cash from my account via kiosk! I hope this helps
When you have no cruise in sight but I’m so ready for this video just in case I need to update my saved list😂👍🏾
I love it lol.
