This is an awesome display of Juna's abilities as a composer and band leader. Yes, she's also a great bass player but I love the fact that she's going beyond the slap bass solos that originally brought attention to her. She's a musician's musician. Love her!
It's nice that Juna plays with 4 different sax players in Jazz Avengers, but when solo she wants Imai 🙏🌹

Wow, Juna, that is really something...and this ensemble.... Harumo's playing is so beautiful and as always with thought, setting everything in that first solo, and here much in touch with her antecedent favorites.. And that pianist! Much inspiration there, not to say pleasure to follow the streams in hearing him. The drummer, so willing to be subtle in support as fits, and then coming in towards his powers at just the right moment in the travel. I hope you can do more with this group, which seems to suit everyone. And once more your own talents shine, in the varieties you do, and getting them heard, seen...all best fortune in it, and smile :)
