      @@UltraChaseds1 is always the best because you will see the combat become better and better, instead of Goin from 3 to 1 and see it become clunkier, not because ds1 was done poorly, but because from 2011 to 2016, Fromsoftwers developers bacame way better at their job and the ps4 gave them more freedom compared to the ps3
      As someone who started from ds3 I suggest you to start from ds1, seriously, don't do my same error, it's painful to go from a fluid gameplay to an arcaidish version of itself, and also loosing mechanics that made the combat even funnier, like weapon arts, which go from stronger swings of a sword to literal rivers of fire, cones of ice and blades of light
      And then there's elden ring which improves it even more letting you switch the weapon art (as long as the weapon is not unique), so you can have a dagger that can combust with a cursed flame that will make your enemies bleed
      And most importantly you can change the elemental dmg of weapon arts, you can literally have a wooden mace that summons an ice storm around you, but the ice deals lightning dmg, or a flaming sword that inflicts frostbites. Which can be funny in PvP, and let's you keep your build without suffering eternal torture because you as a mage are fighting against an enemy with really high magic resistance, just switch element (of course you must "unlock" this), you will have a lower dps because of a problem related with the scaling, but the vulnerability of the boss will make up for it

Whatever conclusion after you have after finishing the game it wont be even near the bigger picture due to how much from software uses environment storytelling, visual cues and items descriptions to explain anything that can be understood as a coherent narrative. Most just play the game following the general narrative and learning specific aspects they like and then listen to whatever youtube has the story explanation of the thing you want to know. Im not saying that you can’t understand by yourself but the lore of the game is tied by a community effort cause so much is find on barely perceptible details, references that have impact on the whole story being casually mentioned by a random enemy when its conditions are triggered. Dont beat your head too much trying to fully understand stories because it was meant to be uncovered by putting pieces together with many different people researching, comparing notes, data mining, and collaborating to deliver a conclusion that has solid evidences

      Honestly I think DS2 is the best one to start with, and that’s with DS1 being my favorite. Most people would disagree with me. Its non linearity while also having bonfire travel from the beginning makes it fairly similar to Elden Ring in terms of overall experience. If the area is too hard, go somewhere else. The difficulty is fairly light compared to the newer games, so the player is less likely to just quit on a boss, can’t say the same about some of those locations though lol. Lastly, it’s just janky enough to not feel outdated while also making you more open to playing the older games. A problem I saw with DS3 and Elden Ring is that a lot of people will play those as their first souls game, and then be unable to play the older souls games because they think it’s too janky.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Maybe it's just me, but some moments in DS3 lose some impact without having at least some knowledge of DS1 and 2. Walking into Firelink Shrine and seeing how different it became, but then seeing a familiar friend in Andre. Meeting Siegward, this game's onion knight fills you with the nostalgia of Siegmeyer. Finding Sun Bros covenant and armor. Finding Lucatiel's mask (I will always remember your name, dear friend.) Stepping into Anor Londo again, then shedding a tear over the corpse of the giant smith who forged me my favorite boss weapons. Fighting Soul of Cinder and the pling pling plong hits. Patches, the rat bastard, who followed us through it all to stand beside us at the end of the world, unbroken. (Albeit 3 did a lot to humanize him and show us a bit of who he was. Lapp was a good guy) I'm missing a lot and don't mean to ramble, but these games mean a lot to me. Thank you for the video and for being a fellow member of the community who knows it's more than just unfair, git gud, brutal difficulty.

      @@SmellenBellen Besides Mario Odyssey, Zelda BOTW, and animal crossing. Nintendo games have nothing on modern games, some are even objectivity bad, so why do people still play them?
      Well, adults that grew up playing Nintendo have such fond memories that their minds are structured to get joy out of them.
      For example I grew up playing ps3, and I love playing linear games, whereas some people would call being guided where to go as boring. Now of course, I don't only play linear games, I just get more joy out of ps3 styled games than other people who would hate it because they didn't grow up playing them as a kid too.
      Now back to dark souls 1, most likely but not always, if you played that game as a kid or teen, you will probably say it's better than DS3. But that can't be further than the truth. DS3 which is objectivity a better game in every single way because it's more modern and from software built their knowledge up, in a way it fixed almost but not every problem Dark Souls 1 had. People only swear that it's better because it's what they have fond memories of. To them calling DS3 better than DS1 is like telling them their childhood joy was invalid.

      Exactly, he probably forgot about that. But even then, we can't outright say that they are not connected to each other, because they might(which i believe is more than likely) connected to each game. In the start of the dark Souls, there was nothing but a mist shrouded everywhere, no black and white, no light and dark, no life and death, and only everlasting dragons were present in mysterious grey mist. One of the endings of the Demon Souls(which i believe to be the canon one) ends with Slayer of the demons absorbing ancient one's power and leaving the world in a grey mist. Or how Dark Souls 3 indicates how Yharnam is created by the Blood of the Dark Soul in the DLC (I mean, at least i think that's what it's about.). And this is the neat part about Soulsborne games, you can implement, describe, comment, and theorize about it's story in most ways, and you wouldn't be entirely wrong about it(unless for some certain things like how people thought Solarie could be the Nameless son of the Gwyn in the first Dark Souls game, only to find out that Nameless King is a entirely another person by the time Dark Souls 3 came out.).

    • @felipeemanuel5790
      @felipeemanuel5790 6 месяцев назад +2

      it's connected, but not a sequence, it's not a direct continuation, you see a lot of references, but that's it.

    • @arjostarudo9406
      @arjostarudo9406 6 месяцев назад +7

      @@felipeemanuel5790 you fight against to Soul of Cinder in Dark Souls 3, an amalgamation of the all souls who have linked the First irst Flame, in first phase, you're basically fighting against the main character in the first game(because either your character, or someone else's character linked the First Flame), and then against Gwyn, the first Lord of the Cinder who linked the First Flame with his soul, and cursed everyone with the curse of the undead. Dark Souls 3 is about putting an end to the never ending cycle of the First Flame from the first game(and yes, there're four different endings, but the one where you watch the First Flame to extinguish slowly in the hands of the fire keeper has to be the canon one, because for a game that is meant to end Dark Souls series, it's the most fitting one for to make a grand finale.).
