Yeah, he can go further than even this. There are still the Angels, Grand Priest, and the other top 4 fighters that Whis mentioned. While Goku's certainly well above Beerus and the other gods now, he still has those people to overcome. So there's plenty of powerups left to be done.

one of the few places where i prefer the dub, the dialogue change was genius and the “trespass into the domain of the gods” line was amazing. especially since it’s a callback to Goku’s origins as Sun Wukong, the norse monkey king who stole power from the heavens
