I've been using AWS for a while now and i still think that every update they do, it changes sthg, i installed WP in a instance earlier and it was working, now i am trying a second one following the same steps and it just doesn't work and idk why, ports are able, everything the way it should be, but still i can't even get the apache welcome page on this second instance
Thanks for the video I did try the process a few years back but like you found out its so complex, but you made it look simple. just wondering if their would be any SEO benefits also? Amazon Google all the big boys pee in the same pot so it might have its advantages...
Yes hosting your website on AWS will have clear SEO benefits. Ever since Google started providing local results, Google looks into where the site is hosted as another ranking factor along with country's TLD. So if you're based let's say in the UK or Ireland then I would highly recommend you use a UK/IE AWS servers. Also create a Google My Business listing for your office locations and this too will give you a boost.
The downside of FlyWP is that they don't have emails in their panel, which sucks as it's not usable... By any chance can you make a tutorial how to add an email to the actual Vultr or any other provider and use FlyWP in combination?
I was told that they're currently working on emails in the panel. Users will be able to send emails from FlyWP itself. They’re also working on launching a feature where users can directly connect email gateways like SES/Postmark/Mailgun/other services from the panel itself and users will be able to use their own email gateway to serve emails
@Mr_Web , now that sounds very, very useful and interesting. I would definitely be a buyer for that. As of right now, it's like a half-done product. But I'm looking forward to seeing that 😎
@@AlexGraphicD Right now, I'm on Plesk which offers it, it's very convenient for running the whole operation.. But I didn't go with FlyWP as it's lacking some things too.. went with CloudPanel at the end and separate email solution
Thanks for your review! Quick question, is there somewhere a setting for defining number of days backup retention with the available backup providers?
Have you tried AWS Lightsail?
No I haven't yet. What are the advantages?

I know, you almost need to be working at Amazon to be able to set up the most simple instances on their servers. So not user friendly at all...

That’s not a downside. Plenty of panels don’t offer email. Very few of them actually offer email.

This is not working. I am getting bad gateway code 502 error.
Strange, perhaps contact their support team... Looks like a glitch somewhere
@@Mr_Web I did but their support is very slow. I hope it improves as they expand.
