  • In this video I share with you some RIGHT brain exercises for helping get into the creative zone. I had not painted for a couple day and I share my thoughts on how I pushed through some paintings I was struggling with.
    I used Golden Paints, High Flows and Heavy Body
    I used pencils, palette knifes, white charcoal pencils and water based spray paint.

      Thank you so much! knowing when something is finished is hard.... and not always achieved at the one or two settings.... But knowing this helps have the patience to still work through the process. I truly appreciate your watching and commenting!!! I'd love for your to subscribe to my channel my friend, but if you do not, it is ok.

    This was fascinating to watch. I’m working at being looser and more expressive. Watching you think and move through the editing and revising of these paintings is tremendously helpful 🙏🏽😊

      It was a rough time, but I knew I could bring them to some level of what I like. I used to give up too early.... even painting them all over in white, is an ok technique I used to struggle with, but all that texture underneath shows through some of the white paint and just adds texture. I think it is hard to capture the true "loose and expressive" state, but once you get it, it can really be fun!!!

    Wow! The way you turned them around is amazing. I know what you mean about not having every painting turn out the way you want and they can be edited. Since I'm still new (1 yr), I find myself putting pieces aside and making changes later. Recently, I took about 12, cut out the parts I like and glued them into one of my spiral books. Compared to 1 yr ago, I can see some unexpected changes (liking more of them) -- thanks to watching your very informative videos!

      Thank you so much! You are working so hard to grow Peggy!!! I admire that so much. Putting in consistent practice and growing as you practice, will (and it already sound like it is) will pay off in incredible pieces.

    I love what you ended up with here - even though you kept saying they’re not your usual paintings, to me they were still very clearly you! Btw i’d love to know how much titan white you get through each month…..i have the same instinct you do to hit it with white when I’m not happy with what i see, and i seem to spend my whole life ordering ever bigger tubs of white 😂

    • @CherylWilsonArt
      @CherylWilsonArt  4 месяца назад +1

      i have several tubs of the thicker white and then TWO large jugs of the high flow white. It seems to just be my "go to" Thank you for your comment, it was so nice. Thank you also for watching my channel. It is so nice you are one that does white too!!!!!

      @@CherylWilsonArt there’s something about the Golden hi flow paints, too…nothing else feels the same to me. I wish they weren’t so expensive!
