12 years after buying the first one on release, and I never thought I was getting another continuation of this. I don’t play single player games but something about dragons dogma moved me. Hearing this main menu theme genuinely gives me a nostalgic “welcome back” vibe
after wait 13 years for a sequel, when i ear that music and titre screen DRAGONS DOGMA 2 i literally start to cry. not many games can do this to a human, so i think this game deservi bit more respect from gamers comunity
Really love this theme. A bit softer, but fantastic for a title theme that welcomes you to a somber adventure. As much as I love Into Free (ya...its on my playlist)...I really do like the epic fantasy adventure vibe they got going on. Dragon's Dogma Online music was pretty dang amazing and I'm excited for this one! Particularly, I like the music they play in the 2nd half of the menu trailer. Same leitmotif, but the trumpet/vocals really give a heroic feel. Heroism doesn't need to bombastic. It just needs to be determined.
While i did loved "Into Free" a lot, this theme is also super nice imo, very epic and works super well with the vibe of the game. That part at 3:11 is just the best too...
Dragons Dogma was the only game I have finished to completion at least 12 times because I just enjoyed it a lot. I was disappointed when Dragons Dogma Online wasnt released to the US. Im incredibly excited for Dragons Dogma 2.
Totally. The feeling that music like this gives, the transition to a world of fantasy, the expectation, the fear... Can I do really do it? Makes you wanna live indeed.
There's actually a soul edge or whatever soul caliber greatsword, I immediately noticed it haha. I think it's actually one of the endgame or best greatswords. It looks like seigfreids sword but untainted/with out the eye
Damn it really be the games that you have no interest in playing that end up being hella fun. I had no intent of playing the game before it came out now I can’t stop playing it. Fun ass game
First thing I thought when I was making my character was that this SOUNDS like Dragon's Dogma. Like it legit made me remember DD1 even though this music is original to DD2. That's impressive.
@@edelweissgaming4828 Even the framerate is no better than it was in 2012. Capcom is hellbent on emulating that original Dragon's Dogma experience. It's beautiful.
@@edelweissgaming4828 for me and my brothers playing this game endlessly back in 2014 jt does feel like going home. Just playing the CC demo had me tearing up.
Love this so much! It is epic but in an optimistic way something that is really missing in today's fantasy-themed video games IMO which are filled with dark themes. This exudes optimism and i'd dare say even nobility!
Does anyone remember DD1 main menu theme? It's one of the best main menu songs ever made (both original and DA). The character creator also had this guitar riff that was so badass. DD2 main menu is catchy, but I'm a bit disappointed we didn't get something like from DD1. I'm still holding out the character creator in the full game will have some badass guitar riff again.
I can understand that, but I personally prefer this better. DD1 kind of needed that punk/rebel aspect to the music considering it was a brand new IP that was blending multiple aspects from different popular RPGs while reaching back to some old-school things. This one? Sounds so much more mature and serious, especially considering its launching to a much wider audience than before. Kinda like the team knows the stakes are higher and this represents that grizzled/stoic readiness, while still keeping that light-heartedness in there (as opposed to DkS games).
@@laisyanimurni Yea, it's called the "Dragon's Dogma 2: Dragon's Dogma Music & Sound Collection - Custom Sounds". It came with the deluxe edition I think but you can also buy it for $2.99. When you change the BGM, it plays this and is waaaaaaaay better.
They better be getting ready for a fakeout. Dragon's Dogma is WEIRD, let the title theme be weird. Into Free set the tone way better than a generic fantasy score ever could.

Dragon's Dogma is a dark fantasy RPG. Eternal Return definitely fits way better.
@@TheStraightestWhitest But who even cares about when the game is serious. It just becomes extremely mid, mundane dark fantasy.
