90's LAN parties... best times in my life.
Yes true! :)
I remember those days, i got an 24" inch screen what was so heavy to carry :) Damn, woke up some great old memories :) QUAKE :)
Lan Parties.. meet people in real, have foods and drinks.. friendships.. ♥
@@magicwoody It was better on those days, people actually did meet each an other :)
@@thespectator2976 Couldn't agree more.. some of the most fun I've ever had to this day gaming... QUAKE multiplayer.. LANs and online.
Love this, reminds me of the lan parties I would go to and also organise in the late 90s early 2000s
Crazy seeing you here!!
I know your channel, too. My first LAN party was around 1994-95.
@Marc Abel I see this popping a lot... Stop spamming and than making fake replays.. people in this channel are not stupid...
@Zachariah Jedidiah fake
This reminds me of those older Internet Cafes I would go to as a kid and play Counter Strike with friends after school, Drinks and snacks. Very well done boys.
They're still everywhere in Asia countries.
My parents used to have one. They didnt have any idea how computers worked and got scammed because of that, but damn, getting home from kindergarden and playing CS 1.6 was the shit.
Me too but i call them "computer shops" for some reason
@@SteveL11 It disappears fast with the advent of mobile games these days. The last time I went to an Internet cafe wass in 2016-2017 in a South East Asian countriy and it was not crowded anymore
Damn, really keeping the dream alive here. It's especially awesome to see retro server hardware being used to manage the entire local network.
you know something's going to be good if you see 3dfx logos.
Good action. I remember this too, with CRTs only.
Yes correct monitor is important!
Hi RETRO Hardware
:)
no matter how good the internet and multiplayer gets, it cannot compete with a room full of cables, overheating from equipment, pizza, pepsi and great atmosphere
what about Mountain Dew Voltage? the king of all soda!
I can't tell you all how amazing this weekend was! So nice to meet everyone! So glad You were crazy enough to say yes! I hope everyone who watches this will consider joining us next year. If you enjoy retro computers and games, and really good company, there's nothing else in the world like Return to Braindrain Retro LAN!
Can't wait to see what you do with the Alpha's!
Watch only 6min of this mega epic videos and all redy like the atmosphere and all that you guys done. This is so gorgeus.
Comfy video, good 90's LAN simulation (with some modern enhancements), I rarely experience such relaxed folks nowadays.
And even a Gabber there ^_^ Just fucking nice atmosphere, excellently filmed. Very soothing in these times.
Greetings from Germany!
this is awesome. we used to have the same LAN clubs in Russia where you could come, pay hourly and play CS GO, Starcraft, Quake 3 and other games. We had bunch of them all over Russia. And we spent the whole night playing our favorite games. Great times
This reminds me the only lan party i went (around 10-15 friends), back in 98 or so.. Same atmosphere.
Thanks.
I finally saw the legendary Ross on a video! Man, he's an awesome guy, really a nice one to have a great chat about hardware PC.
Congrats for this reunion, I believe it was magic.
Thank you man!
Dude knowing there's a scene that makes retro PCs with old motherboards an graphics cards just made my life a little better. This is truly awesome: 3DFX cards, Sound Blasters, CRT Monitors and those great off-white cases. Nostalgia all over
Greetings from Japan!
What an absolute blast!
Thanks for sharing this experience!
I really want to go to a lan party now
25:22 Wow seeing that guy in the background play Action Quake 2 brings back so many memories at the LAN parties in the late 90s.
Dang this looks like it was amazingly awesome! I host XP LAN parties here in California. But this... This was beyond next level! Great edit and very fun to watch! Cheers.
Thanks! Make a 1999 lan 😃
Man, this brings me some memories, the nostalgia is real. Love it!
This is the coolest thing i have seen in a long time! I sooooooo regret to not keep my older setups. Our LAN - Party's back in the day were like this just in a much much smaller scale.
I admire the nerdiness and dedication you guys have. Keep it up
This is so amazing!!! i would have loved to been there. So many memories of 90's gaming. This was so epic!
action quake 2 in the background almost brought me to tears...awesome game with no servers left to play. Farewell Teamin' Jungle
Maaan this is so sick
Come join us in 2021!! 😎
@@victorbart that doesnt look like the best idea w/covid rn
@@notenoughram3312 The comment is from a year ago. The lan edition in 2021 is cancalled. So we are now looking to 2022. But when it is possible again then we willd o the lan. So borders needs to be open and covid gone
@@victorbart cool, i mean i was just kinda poking fun at people being excited for the future when its not gonna happen :D
Also wheres the event held in 2022 bcuz maybe i could come there w/my 900mhz celeron, looks like a cool event
@@victorbart When it all opens up again we should get a mini van going up from NL! I'd be up for that :)
It's much too bright in this Location. I remember light only came from the Monitors. But it's still a nice Flashback
One of the best videos I've seen this week. I miss my old Cyrix MII 233 so much!
Sweet memories of walking around talking tech, playing games, specifically UT with chunky CRT's. Love it, good vibes
as PC/IT Nerd, this is pretty impressive and makes me glad i've still hold on to some 90s and 2000s pc gear and cases
Bringing a 1997 system to a LAN party in 1999: "Meh.. lame.."
Bringing a 1997 system to a 1999 LAN party in 2020: "Wow, that's really cool!"
I love retro lan parties. =)
Awesome that Ross made it all that way. Hope you all do this again!
there was no 8 GB of ram in the 90s or even most of the 00s. 8:38 wow an ID&T Thunderdome Jacket. good taste in music.
You know it // Young dude in that jacket
i loved every second of this.
This really took me back! Great video, I particularly liked you inadvertently shaming people for not having voodoo!
My first lanparty was rather late, in 2004 but i'd go back to that time if i could.
Younger, no worries or responsabilities in life, friends, fun, no internet... It was a completely different world.
I really miss those days! CS1.6, Quake 3 Arena, UT2004,...
I really liked to finally see Ross from the facebook group and the whole thing is really nice, i don't think i will, but i hope to attend one of those some day
That Volvo is a very practical vehicle.
I miss old style lan parties. The building reminded me of a grange hall we used to have parties at in the early 2000's.
You know what was even better in the 90's? Being outside. For hours and hours and hours at a time. I turned 18 in 1990. The entire decade was a blast of physical activity. So glad I didn't spend much time doing PC stuff.
Så kjempe gøy og morr ut :D
Looked really funn time :D
19:33 NFS3 FTW :D
I understand that guy for the ThunderDome cd hehe :D They are awsome music back in day :)
Trance,Dance,Techno,EuroDance&Hardcore(ThunderDome) best 90s music :D
Wish i had Frend`s,Especially like this :D
Awesome stuff, you guys rock.
Super Jealous, this is so awesome!!! I hope you get to do more.
omg! Count me in next time! I remember playing Serious Sam at a small lan party I held at my parents house 19yrs ago
Really awesome video man ! Looked like a lot of fun with lots of great machines and great people ... could not make it unfortunately due to my wife having surgery.... but wanna thank Martin and Adam the invite ... next year for sure ! Always great to meet retro enthousiast in real life.
It's amazing to see that all these 20+ years old equipment still running so smooth.
Still have my setups from the 8088 to recent.
Got hold of one 3dfx voodoo 1 orchid with 100MHz chips (not 50MHz), 2x voodoo 2's 100MHz chips (not 90MHz) and a 5500 AGP 64MB.🤩❤
Well, thanks for popping that balloon behind my back. I will miss your evil laugh until next year. :D
Yeah I almost shit my pants there. XD
every country need events like this !!!
I hope ex-3Dfx workers see this kind of videos and how people love what they did to us - gamers. thank you
26:10 thumb up for this guy for UT99 and system specs
Really great video Victor. It was so much fun being there and hanging out with everybody. And again thanks a lot for the Toshiba Laptop!
Yes you are welcome! Laptops are not my main focus and I can't work with a non US keyboard 😂 have fun with it!
Wonderful video editing Victor! Was nice to meet you, Ross and Kasper there!
Thanks 😁
Nice to see happy people doing what they (we) love. 🙂❤️👍🏻👍🏻
Looks like you guys had a lots of fun
27:21 shout out to Evercase!
btw amazing video!!! this is the content I like to see :) Looks like a great time was had, that portable is mad haha
Yeah that was me :) several of us have retro style cases from them. It's amazing to be able to buy a brand new case in the retro style. Really glad we found them.
Nice to see you guys together ;) It seems like you were having lots of fun :D
Yes it was great 😃 so much fun and in the lanparty preparation chat we made alot of great jokes 😂
Always great seeing my boy, Ross!
Hey there John! ;)
This is awesome, Great job!
This made me happy and really low all in the space of one video. I really miss the days i went to LAN parties.
Yes so much going on 😃
CANT BELIVE THIS EXISTS!!!! I NEED THIS!
Seems like you guys had a lot of fun!
this was joy to watch!
Wow thanks for the awesome video it brings back a lot fun memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Man........I miss playing HL1 multiplayer.
Also I love that the network admin is using a late 90s 3Com superstack switch! lolol
SO MUCH NOSTALGIA
This was one of the best trips of my life. You guys exceeded my expectations on the awesome meter.
Also Victor
I think your math is off ;)
Mercury = 24 Voodoo chips
V2 SLI 98 Dream PC = 6 Voodoo chips
Voodoo 5 5500 = 2 Voodoo chips
AAlchemy 8232SB = 8 Voodoo chips
Voodoo 3 3000? = 1 Voodoo chip
So 41?? Unless I'm missing more lmao.
I counted a voodoo2 as 1 :D
Wow, such a nerdy LAN - Heaven. All those Win9x / XP Machines. Good old times 😃😃
indeed!
Victor you are my hero!!! I would have flown across the world to attend this
Thanks 😁 the LAN will be held next year too 😃
Annual event, you're more than welcome to come. If you have any questions or requests to help make it happen let me know :)
Pimp LAN party. Whatever camera you shot this on is fantastic.
Panasonic GH5 😎
Dutch, Danes, Swedes…All together on a lanD…Hide the beer!!!!!
That was incredible. In Spain there is nothing so cool retro
This looks so much fun. I just recently built a V3 3000 pc for myself also. :)
i love this video!
Reminds me of early 2000s LAN parties I used to host... Good times.
Alot of positive energy there
Looks like you guys had a blast. xD
Kaspas graphics cards are fake...!!! Lol. Love his videos.. so funny and the effort he puts into making them as unbelievable...
Heerlijk dit soort content !
This was so cool to watch, loved every second
Watching this again to comfort myself for not be able to do it in 2021 as planned....
Now that's my kind of LAN!!! Reminds me of my mis-spent youth.
Next Time I‘ll join you with a few guys from Voodooalert:) Denmark, can‘t be that far from North Germany:)
home sweet home...awesome
Epic old gameing. Epic old 4:3 video. ;-)
Love this so much i wish i could have been there
Oh my god - amazing video! This brings back so many memories. 90s - times when I had to silently sneak out our home PC late in the evening to bring it over to a LAN parties much like this one shown in the video... Ahh, good times.
That case @20:19 rocks that place! I’ve got that one too 😍😍
Qauke 2 action, awesome.
Ah cool. I have that shirt too still 😁
(Used to be hack42 member years ago)
This is a great video. Is there a games list of what you guys played?
great idea......... thank you
amazing, thank you!
Damn. If I'll ever be able to travel that far I'll definitely come some day.
the guy with the rat nest over his head looks cool
3dfx banners now that takes me back
Haha... brings back sweet memories xD
Man I remember having a 3dfx Voodoo 2 card and being amazed at how much better games ran than in software rendering on our family PC, best thing I ever bought! :D So nostalgic...
I hear ya there.I got my first pc which I got a sis 6326 to play 3d games then got a voodoo 2 and was blown away by its performance.I still own both of these cards still along with a bunch of other 3dfx stuff
Wow amazing best video
Epic!!!
ohhh Command and Conquer...Beer...Exotic flowers.. LAN! Niece :)
I recognize that 2016 Dreamhack tee ;)
What an awesome video, really wish I had friends that were into retro tech, I do not know anybody that cares for it :(
nice to see noctus from final fantasy 15 there!
in the 90's i did a 3d course at some tech school thing. at night we would sneak in and play counter strike while watching a movie with a projector on the big screen. few pizza's aswell and beer.
