- Amanda Brown extended interview from '16 Lovers Lane' Great Australian Albums episode. Amanda delves into the making of the album and the collapse of the original band and the relationships within the band. Part 2 of 3 extended interviews from this series.
Not only beautiful but also very intelligent lady. Just calms you how she talks.
Thanks for making all these interviews available
she is so beautiful
Glad to hear Amanda's perspective, as it adds much to the understanding of this beautiful album. I think she makes a lot of great points here about the circumstances that inspired the songwriting, how the whole band was integral to its creation. And sadly also how the band collapsed after Robert and Grant pretty much forced the issue. And I'm sure they had their reasons/side of the story... I still feel she holds a lot of love and respect for both of them and the legacy of the Go-Betweens though. Class.
The interview seemingly could have been better prepared, in a quieter room with a more focused cameraman though :)
I was madly in love with Amanda😃
I still am.marco
Amanda is awesome!
Amanda was such a beautiful soul.. Her and Grant were such a cute couple 😍😍 so talented 🎻🎶
Wow, great interview. And spot on about how the idea of muses is used to push women and their creativity into the background.
Amanda your Oboe playing has left everyone in awe
Amanda Brown ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I was really blown away by AMANDA's COMMENTS. She speaks so objectively about GRANT and his art (being partly "her" art too...)
Thank you
She put the Andy Mackay into their music. 😊
Hi Amanda I would have expanded your use in the go betweens your beauty and stunning voice was so great that I think you completed and rounded the songs
wow
That interviewer has no idea 🫤
Bye Bye Pride was her best work with the G-Bs
oboes are one of the most difficult instruments to master and quite expensive to buy
Love this album and the extras associated with it. But I prefer Tallu
I only had Tallulah and loved it too
I only learnt of 16 lovers lane with this documentary
I saw them live in Richmond Melbourne ❤
What year was this interview conducted?
2007 or 2008 when the documentary was released.
