They will go out of business as soon as we develop a pistol for only a grand that shoots the same round. It’s a great pistol but no pistol is worth 7,500.
The barrel making process is what makes it expensive. They are made the same way you make a howitzer barrel. Standard barrels would not be able to handle the pressure from that round and would explode.

The gun is outstanding. I've had one nearly a year and a half, #30. Incredible accuracy and refinement. To me, its worth every dime. Nothing quite like it on the market.
I got psd I shoot on rifle rated metal targets at 30yards ate straight through it... I plan on stock piling ammo which is difficult state side in 2023,it's proven difficult .. yes there are some issues with the gun .. mostly safety mechanism..but the field pistol which is 7k or 8k is more reliable...yet I love it 4 calibers with 3 quick barrel swaps and a mag change for 9mm is amazing
10MM Auto necked down to 7.62 Tokarev. I call it the 7.62 BTLG, as in a .30 cal Bootleg of the 7.5. Fraction of the cost, and you can put it in a glock or 1911 or something
As pointed out in another post, the 9/25 dillan already matches the ballistics with weight and speed. Loaded with 7.62 bullets in that cartridge you are going to burn out some barrels, but man o man what a shooter!
A gun chambered for 9x25mm Dillon is nearly as good, but not quite. Of course, the Dillon fanboys will point out that their pet cartridge and the firearms it can be chambered in are a fraction of cost of the 7.5 FK round and the Field Pistol. But dang, if you can afford it, why settle for second best?
for how tiny it is and how it has roughly the same performance as a .22 magnum... but they dont want you to know that because they're pistols are "special" ps I'd love to see the rifle that came out of, its shorter then my .22, so all in all think about it... its 2mm bigger diameter with less casing. probably explains why the bullets TUMBLE when the hit the gel instead of keeping they're ballistics.
It isn't for self defense against humans. It's for hunting and more likely bear defense. You don't *need* it for self defense as it's even more overkill than a 10mm and is comparable to a .44 Mag. I would only say to get it for pistol hunting, dangerous animal defense, or if you just really think it's cool.

For bear defense you want a shorter barrel than this so you can clear your holster faster but then of course you’re at a power disadvantage which is why most bear defense revolvers are 500SW. I could see hunting with it but for the price tag, a short barreled 30-30 would be my choice.

I love my FK BRNO 7.5 PSD! It IS a technological work of art. It is only slighty larger than my 1911 and I can still pocket carry it concealed with very little imprinting. I am using the 10mm/.40S&W barrel so as not to kill the next 3 people standing behind an assailant. The moderator keeps mentioning "125 gr. Sierra jacketed holowpoint (JHP)" in this video... I have been to Sierra's website and am unable to find these rounds anywhere. Where can I get them? Are they even still being made?

That's neat, but I have a hard time understanding the price tag. You could get virtually the same performance with a Glock 20 with a 9x25mm Dillion barrel and pay less $1,200.
They need to develop a heavier bullet that expands more for self defence in the Us. This has way too much over penetration and if I wanted that kind of performance I'll get my Ar pistol in 300 blackout or 5.56

Well well, here on Finland gun laws are so, to byu that gun, you have to make appliance for all three calibers, separetly. And pay for an each other 92 €. If you are applying too ( 2 ) different caliber guns, second will cost 32 € , If applied same time. Any sense in that ?
That is a beautiful pistol and a very impressive round. However, if anything I think the cartridge shows a little too much penetration. Ideally you want the projectile to dump as much of its kinetic energy as possible into the target. We did see some of that happening when the bullet partially fragmented and there were certainly several temporary cavities formed during the passage through the gell. Still a little too much over-penetration though in my opinion. All this however and some people still consider the 30.30 rifle and cartridge are a weak and underpowered combination! I think this proves otherwise.
Why not just use FNs Five-Seven with specifically made rounds to defeat body armor and bullet proof cars. I know they already have ap rounds for the 5.7 but like I said make some newer rounds with way better penetration values

Like that they actually did a live animal test, but there is one big conceptual problem there; the gun is said to be for body armor penetration, they shoot the deer with a hollow point to show the effect in a living target… but if you need to shoot someone that is wearing body armor; you are most likely in a warzone or military setting. And if you are; you are not allowed to shoot other combatants with hollow points, it's currently a war crime. The only professional use I see is for vip protection and maybe for rather special police units. Though as an enthusiast and competitor I very much want one.
I think you don't need hollow points to penetrate armor, if fact, regular FMJ is actually better, it just doesn't cause so much damage when it hits the flesh...
Unreal! For $600 I got a Glock 20SF in 10mm, for about $150 I can get a new 9x25mm Dillon barrel and do everything this new round does, plus a bit! Not so sure any handgun should have that kind of price tag attached to it!

Couldn't agree more...the only pistols even approaching that say "DWM" on them and they were made a century ago.
Target contractors do not care about $7500.. they use much more expensive equipment.

I’ve got my Glock 20 with a 9/25 Dillon barrel that cost me 100$. ammo from double tap, Underwood and many more. Ballistics are identical.

Not a bad idea. .30 carbine, 7.62x25, and this 7.5 FK make for a 200-300 yard potential PDW or SMG. While still using pistol size magazines.

The PSD version of this pistol looks great and is a little cheaper. Has polymer lower I think.

FN 5.7 is the only real battle pistol. Maybe the new Ruger 57. It's a rifle cart tuned down for a pistol. Can't beat it.
