Nightwish fans might have something to say about that...ruclips.net/video/4oEDnVeYYyM/видео.html I don't want to detract from this terrific rendition though. Brit Floyd produced a very faithful tribute to the original. I'm sure Gilmour liked this version as well as he did the Nightwish version.
David saw them play live at The Fairfield Halls in London many years ago. After the show he went back to their dressing room and announced himself , had a beer with them and a few pix. Then 2 years later Brit Floyd got an invitation to play at David’s 50th birthday party. He hand picked all the songs and even Rick got up and played on ‘Numb’ with the . So..yeah, David likes them
Lucas James , this year I went to the Australian Pink Floyd Band in Trier, Germany. The difference between the 2 bands: Brit Floyd stays close to the original of PF. The Aussies makes their own interpretation of the PF songs. I prefer Brit Floyd
The Division Bell album is greatly under-appreciated. The way each song flows into the other is amazing. I have listen to this album thousands of times, from start to finish. It is best enjoyed as a whole album.
Don’t ask me why because I don’t know or can explain it but the solo on the slide guitar always makes me well up and tears flow. The power of music. Thank you David for this masterpiece
These guys (and gals) have gone WAY WAY beyond a cover band; even saying "Tribute Band" doesn't seem to cover how awesome they are. * David Gilmour loves these guys... what an honor for them as well as TAPFS. \m/
Been a Pink floyd fan for as long as i can remember. Brit Floyd gave us the uniqie sound of pink floyd, back. This is one of the most beautyful songs Pink Floyd ever made.
they will be in Beirut, Lebanon on the 22nd of December...I can't wait...the more performances I watch, the more excited I am getting to see them.. "High Hopes" for a wonderful concert is what we have for you in Beirut, you're welcome!
That's it. I was unable to see original Pink Floyd cause I was too young. I WANT SEE THIS EPIC BAND IN POLAND NOW. Please vote me up so they can notice this. GUYS, YOU ARE AWESOME, KEEP ON GOOD WORK!
Omg! This is one of the best versions I've EVER heard! I am a BIG Pink Floyd fan, and I usually don't like it when someone convers their songs, but this was awesome!
I hope that long after the original members of PF are gone, and after BF are all gone, there will still be tribute bands as good as these folks are that will carry on the PF legacy forever and ever.
**Damian Darlington=GENIUS! Ian Cattell has come along way with Damian and the crew but he rocks even on a bad day! And also....The Band Fkn' Rocks Mates!!!!! I've seen you through 3 times in concert and I 've seen Gilmour/Waters/Floyd and when I closed my eyes I thought I was back at the Pulse concert! lol Thank you for keeping us all sedated and fascinated with your music.
Best tribute act ive ever seen..saw them last night at the Echo Arena..Have to say much better than the Aussie Floyd which i never thought id be saying
05:15".....the Endless River.....forever and ever"....it doesn't get any better than this! Perfectly replicated and 100%+ spot on! For you, Ryan Michael McCollough...you'd have loved this version!!
I'll have to go see these guys during their next tour, I always wanted to see Pink Floyd live but I'm pretty sure this as close as I'm going to get now.
I just listened to the PF HH Pulse remastered version before listening to this and this, imho, sounds better. In particular, the sound and tuning on the steel exceeds the original imo. I wonder if it's a case of a different steel guitar , different strings, and/different amplifications? The pulse tuning sounds just off barely while this tuning and pitch is spot on. BF hasn't matched this version since and I have seen them multiple times. Sometimes you just nail it!
What makes this even better is their use of the original video from the Division Bell. Sooooooo glad they filmed this, recorded it, etc. My favorite PF song and version.....EXCELLENCE!
never heard of these guy but wish i had they playing in Bradford where i live n cant wait till june these guys rock# really impressed with these guys how come iv not heard of them n i live in uk llol wicked cant wait till june x
I'm baffled at how perfectly they recreated the song. Not only correct notes but also the singer's voice is a damn close match and the tone of the individual instruments and how they blend together is way up in the uncanny valley - pretty much if you didn't tell me this was a cover band I would have probably never guessed. Even the tone of the drums is perfect - and that is no small feat.
How can I say? This is Freaking Awesome!!! Performances like this, makes my mind explode, literally! Congrats to Brit Floyds to be, in my opinion, one of the best tribute shows ever! The music, the visuals, the experience all combine makes the perfect show to see! Glad to see them in Portugal, 22th November!
I have seen them twice now, and having seen vids of Aussie pink floyd they are a lot better. Both musically and vocally. A very well put together tribute. Would still go watch them a 3rd time if they tour again.
:) Damn how i get goosebumps out of this :) YEY :) Got to see them :) I have seen Pink Floyd many times and seen just about any cover and tribute band here in Norway :)
OMG!! I'm a Pink Floyd fan from waaaaay back and that was superb! The part that always makes the hairs on my neck stand up and the tears well in my eyes is the lap steel slide guitar part at the end and these guys nailed it! I would pay to see these guys if they ever visit Australian shores. Well done to you guys. Keep up the good work. And can I add there are 33 deaftards who downvoted this song.
Just brilliant! I saw these guys at The Royal Albert Hall earlier this year and I was just blown away by the show. Hearing this song live for the first time was real highlight. If you get the chance, go and see them. You will not be disappointed
Come on guys... You couldn' compare one band with another. This is not competition. Just relax and enjoy the magic tones be proud to be a human, and fly away, where you want to be with this song!
I have seen a few tribute bands, several Beatles tributes and one of The Doors, they were all great. I even worked with a friends tribute band where he was the lead man in a 70s era of Elton John. He had Elton pretty well nailed down and the band was called "Bennie & The Jets". As my friend was playing a gig and I was doing my job as the bands photographer, a man came to me and said "This guy has got to be lip synching, he sounds too much like Elton to be real!" I told him "Two things, 1- You are hearing true vocals. 2- I will pass on what you said to BENNIE as a compliment, because he strives to sound as much as the real thing as possible!" THIS BAND...BRIT FLOYD, HAD TO HAVE REALLY WORKED HARD TO PERFECT THAT PINK FLOYD SOUND...AND THAT IS NOT EASY!! My hat is off to Brit Floyd!!
I'm so happy!!! Got 2 tickets to the concert in Malmö, Sweden, on the 10:th of october 2013!!! I missed to see Pink Floyd live.. But these guys are just as great!!!!!
There is no "Brit Floyd" without Pink Floyd and that's that but damn these guys are way too good to be called a Tribute Band. I saw Pink Floyd on their Animals Tour 1977 and sorry to say, "They didn't come close to what these guys sound like live" - I know technology has a lot to do with that but [WHAT THESE GUYS AND GALS DO] is the album/song exact... more importantly, live!! David Gilmour loves these guys... he even had TAPFS play his 50th BDay; what an honor that had to be for them!! * The Australian Pink Floyd Show did possibly a better job on this song on their DVD released I believe in 2004 (I own the DVD) before they split into 2 factions around 2011: Brit Floyd and TAPFS
Agreed... they do edge out the current TAPFS but I still believe the first video they made (2004ish) before dividing up into two bands... matches this very well.
Give Pulse 1994 version of High Hopes a Shot, these guys are good, but the emotion and soulfulness in Gilmours hands can't be matched. I must say they are the best cover band of Pink Floyd out there no doubt. Also there is an effect called Recency Effect which makes you appreciate the immediate present event's much better than an epic event happened in the past (and boy 1977 is 40 years in the past). Human psychology research also suggests that you remember things vaguely after 25 years of any event.
that awsome, when i lessen this music,i am going to pridise and everything are green and greener and final we feel the bit of god, praise god forever.......
Wow...STILL in 2024, my fav version of my fav PF/BF song!! 5:20 and every note nailed clearly! Best version by anyone! The original HH video on the screen adds so much, too! This entire song is my favorite PF song...by anyone! What i like about this is the minimal "wandering" of Damian's slide...no in and out of notes. Each note is clearly pronounced and nailed...kinda like autotune for the lapsteel if you will 😁! I recorded it, slowed it down just a hair(.2), "brightened" it a touch and it's been money since '11! Storm's original film makes this a classic imho!
@@richardhammer187 David's vocals and creation but Damian's solid chordings and sound on his lap steel tops DG's here imho. It's sonics and progessions build to the final chord without a lot of improv. Brit Floyd's best version of this and I've heard a ton of 'em!
Wow. I've just been blown away, literally! Actually insane how good this is. Only thing missing is dave gilmour's solo but I'm sure he would be proud of this. Definitely the best tribute band out there,if you can even call them that. Seem to have gone way beyond that now!

By far and away the best cover of this song on the internet. David Gilmour would be quite proud of these guys.
Ryan Carroll

Yes, almost better that original sound.

Brit Floyd is probably the best Pf cover band i've seen
Lucas James , this year I went to the Australian Pink Floyd Band in Trier, Germany. The difference between the 2 bands: Brit Floyd stays close to the original of PF. The Aussies makes their own interpretation of the PF songs. I prefer Brit Floyd
I agree
I have seen them 5 times now and would watch them every day if I could!
Amazing band! 👍👍
They are Tribute band :) not a cover band
Yes they are 6:40❤️❤️
The Division Bell album is greatly under-appreciated. The way each song flows into the other is amazing. I have listen to this album thousands of times, from start to finish. It is best enjoyed as a whole album.
Do you know what this song is about? I’m curious.
Don’t ask me why because I don’t know or can explain it but the solo on the slide guitar always makes me well up and tears flow. The power of music. Thank you David for this masterpiece
Because the lap steel has a unique sound with such emotion
That is my favorite part of the song.... it sounds so good
The lap steel part is the single reason why I bought one!
Easily his most under-rated solo, and IMO his best.
Same. I have a decent stereo in my car and I turn it up and cry. It over takes you
This is probably my most favorite song ever. These guys are great at it.
Makes my skin crawl everytime. Same thing with "mother". These guys do a great job. Cant wait to see them april 16th again
lol
When the originals arent available these guys sound almost as good. Good on you guys for keeping the legend alive.
if your a floyd fan, these guys are DEFINATELY worth a look, seen them twice now, excellent both times. Would still go see them again
If I heard it with no pictures I would have thought it was them.. absolutely tremendous
This is absolutely superb. The Brits at their best. I can’t wait to see them again.
What a band, what a sound.... If you accomplish music, it touches the soul. This is what I hear over and over again...
this is by far my number one Pink Floyd song, and the rendition is awesome
they will be in Beirut, Lebanon on the 22nd of December...I can't wait...the more performances I watch, the more excited I am getting to see them..
"High Hopes" for a wonderful concert is what we have for you in Beirut, you're welcome!
The best cover by any band so far. kudos.
Oh boy..that solo!!!.....speechless!
Flawless.
Saw them live for the first time last weekend. Incredible musicians, and one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.
In my opionion the best High Hopes Cover EVER ! I love it .... Damian and Ian PERFECT JOB !
as a 30yr fan of floyd you guys rock THANK YOU FOR KEEPING A LEGEND ALIVE
Man, nobody can play the main solo like David Gilmoure but this was so so so good it literally gave me chills
Saw them two nights ago in cleveland....absolutely phenomenal...best show ever hands down...brilliant
That's it. I was unable to see original Pink Floyd cause I was too young. I WANT SEE THIS EPIC BAND IN POLAND NOW. Please vote me up so they can notice this. GUYS, YOU ARE AWESOME, KEEP ON GOOD WORK!

I hope that long after the original members of PF are gone, and after BF are all gone, there will still be tribute bands as good as these folks are that will carry on the PF legacy forever and ever.
I got to see these guys a year or two ago. It blew my mind how great of a job they did. Spot on. Even Great Gig was spot on. Absolutely amazing.
These guys are guilty of playing Perfectly on all Pink Floyd’s Music...oh my word this is the best Of The Best
Beautiful...Emotional... Deep...
Great Cover and amazing performance, also.
They are absolutely amazing,. seeing them tonight for the 5th time

i hadn't a chance to see Pink Floyd :( please come here :(:(:( Hail from Turkey.
Another stunning performance from Brit Floyd.
I never get tired of hearing ian sing. the voice of roger and the low voice of dave. terrific
They were just here Monday, and they were simply amazing! I hope to see them again someday.
This is the best song ever ...so great ...see Pink Floyd Tribute show in Oostende (Belgium)
Ian nailed the opening lyrics wow I had to look twice I thought is was Gilmour! BRAVO
More than PERFECT !! Thanks Brit Floyd hmmmmmmmmmm
Wonderfull! Thanks for this beautiful perfomance!!
After Pink.....now Brit!!!!!! Awesome.

It is perfectly tuned with the keyboards! Hats of to the GTech!!
I'll have to go see these guys during their next tour, I always wanted to see Pink Floyd live but I'm pretty sure this as close as I'm going to get now.
bet your ass ;)
"running before time took our dreams away".....
Absolutely perfect! Best Floyd cover band period.
I have to say very impressive..I know my Floyd and this is so good it's just as good as Pink Floyd..KUDOS!!!!!
Pretty close but I can always tell David and Rodgers voices plus gilmour's slide guitar skills are off the charts
I just listened to the PF HH Pulse remastered version before listening to this and this, imho, sounds better. In particular, the sound and tuning on the steel exceeds the original imo. Unbelievable how much they nailed it.

Pink will be proud.
The best cover 👏😍

Beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young
In a world of magnets and miracles
Our thoughts strayed constantly and without boundary
The ringing of the division bell had begun
Along the Long Road and on down the Causeway
Do they still meet there by the Cut
There was a ragged band that followed in our footsteps
Running before time took our dreams away
Leaving the myriad small creatures trying to tie us to the ground
To a life consumed by slow decay
The grass was greener
The light was brighter
With friends surrounded
The nights of wonder
Looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us
To a glimpse of how green it was on the other side
Steps taken forwards but sleepwalking back again
Dragged by the force of some inner tide
At a higher altitude with flag unfurled
We reached the dizzy heights of that dreamed of world
Encumbered forever by desire and ambition
There's a hunger still unsatisfied
Our weary eyes still stray to the horizon
Though down this road we've been so many times
The grass was greener
The light was brighter
The taste was sweeter
The nights of wonder
With friends surrounded
The dawn mist glowing
The water flowing
The endless river
Forever and ever
Beautiful, just beautiful!! :D
