And of course I still am sometimes when I cannot find my shoe size for a really cute pair of shoes or when someone is rude enough to keep pointing it out for me. You know what changed my mind? I saw this quote once "I cried because I had no shoes, then I met a man who had no feet." Since that day I applied this quote to my own situation. I kept complaining that I have big feet, that my feet are ugly, that I can't find pretty shoes that fit me but I forgot that there is someone out there with no feet at all. Keep this in mind whenever you feel bad about the size of your shoe size! Cherish yourself more~ 🙏

I am a podiatrist. I see thousands of feet each year. Really thousands of them... Good, bad, and fugly. Size is not what people worry about. Having extremely sweaty feet or toe deformities and fungal nails that when I can really feel for patients. Size 8 is most common in Australia too. Happy to hear to love your feet! I think your feet are wonderful they keep you mobile and able to do so many activities so take of them Soo Kim :-)

It really makes me lose any ability to have respect for that place. My buddy is really into k-pop and almost every story he shares with me is similar to this. It’s confusing to me how he can be so into a culture where this is normal.
I kinda face an opposite scenario, I have really small hands for a man my height, and I always heard (sometimes from women) how they are not manly enough and how they wouldn't feel like would be holding hands with a man. Seriously, a big "fuck you" to these people, it's 100% ok to think something and have an opinion, but to go pointing it out bluntly like that is just lack of common sense and manners. A simple exercise is to imagine yourself in the person's place and imagine someone came and said that to you, you probably wouldn't like it right? All this "beauty standard" shit is what ends up causing tragedies like what happenned with Sulli.
I have lived in Asia frequently in recent years and I find it really odd, about the size of Asian feet, girls especially. It's not as if Asians are exclusively SHORT nowadays. In China and Korea tons of girls are near my height and even taller. Yet their shoes look ridiculously tiny, but when they wear open sandals the foot size looks more normal.. So I feel most of them are squeezing into small shoes even if they have small feet compared to Western people of the same height.
While I can't say it ever bothered me I'm kind of on the other end of it. I'm about the same height as you Soo (5'7") except that I'm a guy, but my feet are small xD. I think the closest women's size shoe to me is a 7 (fits pretty well actually), which is like a 6 1/2, 6 3/4 men's. Something like that. So for regular shoes I end up wearing a men's 7, which here in the U.S. can be hard to find T_T. Maybe that's why my balance isn't the best X_X
