    • @ertfgghhhh
      @ertfgghhhh 3 года назад +10

      Because that style of clothing was not worn by women who considered themselves to be "good", upstanding girls- thats why. No one said skimpy clothes did not exist. These are skimpy costumes worn by gogo dancers-not everyday girl next doors. And strippers/gogo dancers were not aspired to and was looked at as being something less desired, unlike today.....it was not normalized

    • @YourMajesty143
      @YourMajesty143 3 года назад +10

      @@ertfgghhhh - What strippers and go-go dancers are you seeing in this video? They obviously weren't the only ones who dressed like this. This kind of fashion existed as early as the 20s when flapper girls wore see-through short dresses with unfastened garter belts hanging from their thighs. In the 50s, Elvis danced with women in bikinis in his videos. Marilyn Monroe posed nude for a magazine and showed her underwear when walking over an air grate. Music & entertainment were much more laid back in fashion. So it's no surprise that in the 60s and 70s, Tina wore this dress. Judging by your name, you live in a conservative bubble and are projecting your small world experience unto the rest of us. You've been sheltered, darling. Any fashion historian will tell you that this attire was common.

    And Miss Robbie is nowhere in this lineup. She said herself she was an Ikette in the 60's, this is from 1971! Y'all need to start thinking before y'all start typing.

    The choreography thoooo! Much like in cheerleading everybody had to be on the same page you can see they put a lot of effort into their routines unlike many of today's "artist" that "sing"a lot of smut and show their booties to make sales.

    This is the best lineup of Ikettes. Claudette Linear definitely stood out as among the three. She never missed a beat

    In order, it appears to be accepted into the mainstream European radar Tina Turner showcased her wiggles & straight hair wigs wearing Ikettes to the Glorious fame she & Ike Turner amassed. Earned her a lucrative lifestyles it appears and got to steppin’ later in life left USA it appears indefinitely. Shake Shake Shake it off. Those females are some true musical Pioneers

      Athletic? No. She worked hard at her craft. Do not downplay what she was good at by saying she was "athletic". Stopit. Why cant yall just say "she was great at what she did".... She wasnt just "athletic". She wasnt even an athlete. That is racial coding instead of giving black entertainers their just do like others are........i have NEVER heard caucasian entertainers be referred to as athletic or just natural when they excelled. Stop saying it about black entertainers. Trust everybody the same
