    What type of a cup? when I use our normal kenyan measuring cups the flour seems to be a lot than what I can see in your bowl.

    Hi it looks yummy can I use selfraisng flour instead of yeast please advice if you don't mind

    • @phils_kitchen
      @phils_kitchen  Год назад

      thank youuu🤗 I would reccommend using plain flour with yeast coz they need to puff and just using self raising flour won't make them puff

    • @coolbreeze4576
      @coolbreeze4576 Год назад

      @@phils_kitchen In Jamaica we use the self-raising flour and one tsp "baking powder" (raising agent) instead of the yeast (omit the sugar or no), to each pound of flour. Ours may be a little tighter but you can add a bit more baking powder if you like it lighter and we call them fried dumplings. They are so tasty and perfect alone or with stewed anything.
      My sister, I hope we meet one day, from one palate to another I hope the sun burst forth in your mouth when you bite into them. 😊

      Yes, Amagwinya is different, but the idea is almost similar. You can eat Amageinya with acha and even put ground beef, but these ones are better with tea.
