I like the thin bezels. For external monitors, I want to be able to switch to a portrait display. Lots of monitors look lopsided when you do that because they have a thicker bezel along the bottom.
Do not give this company any of your money. I originally pre-ordered a Spectrum QHD 280Hz back in 2021 for $100. In July of 2022 I paid an additional $565.95 as it was supposedly about to ship. Didn't happen. I finally got fed up and cancelled my order on 10/23. Dough support said I should have a refund within 20 days on 10/24. Guess what? NO REFUND YET. They are *literal* criminals.
Gotta say, love the look of the video. The background colors, the window shade reflection effect, the humor, and the shifting between the product and Jeff on the mic is top notch.

I strongly urge all RUclipsrs to remove all videos endorsing Dough (formally known as Eve) due to their track record failure to deliver promised products, and their refusal to provide refunds. It is essential to ensure viewers are not misled or inadvertently support a company with such concerning practices no matter how many times they had re-branded themselves.

You can tell a reviewer you want to listen to and trust because they don't support this company. Maybe 1 review just saying no, don't support this company even with their mythical specs. But selling a monitor like this from known scammers is irresponsible and scummy.
Let them keep doing it for the views, it shows me who has their heads up their asses vs. who is giving real reviews. 9to5Mac is on that shill list now, lol.

i would buy this, if they brought out a 5K version of it so i can run it at 1440p in retina mode, i do not relish going back to 1080p even if it's retina 1080p. or better yet, they should make a 32 inch 6K version of this like the pro xdr from apple!
Great video. I like your style and this was very informative about a lesser known brand. I’m just curious as to why this was compared to the Studio Display? Do they market it as comparable to Apple’s display? Either way, thanks for the video!
@@Agnes.Nutter wow I completely missed that lol. Thanks! Seems weird the CEO would say that with the displays being so different. If the Spectrum One was 5k I’d get starting that conversation.
@@Popo174I'm hoping this isn't the last Dough-branded monitor. I think given what they've put together here, they could be a big competitor in this space in the future.
Both have glare, one is concentrated and another is diffused, both can be distracting, but that depends on your use case. If you value colour accuracy, vibrancy and sharpness matte won’t cut it.
do not give dough one penny of your money. don't care what videos like this say. they had to change their name because their rep was so bad. the entire company is a scam
It’s not a scam. People have been getting their products delivered for months if not years at this point. Their products are even available at retailers like B&H and Best Buy now. So unless you’re saying those large retailers are scammers no, Dough isn’t a scam company

Never ever order from this company. You will be scammed out of your money. I'm down 1300€ and just being fully and wilfully ignored by the company. There are MANY cases like mine as well.
They used to be called eve spectrum before they stopped fulfilling customer orders and didn’t refund people. So id say take some precaution cos it’s the same company

Do not buy anything from that company. I have literally been waiting three months for that monitor. I get the same response. Well it's at shipping. You should be getting it next week. Yeah most monitors go for the thinnest bezel possible at the expense of even bezels. I prefer even bezels even if they are little thicker

Making it 11 minutes into a 13 minute video without mentioning that this company will take your money and never give you a monitor is unconscionable.

Still waiting for a 8k OLED high refresh rate panel.
Gonna be a while for that, but sounds awesome.
Same but we also gotta wait for content that supports that too

How is a non-retina 4k plastic display going to be an Apple Studio Display 5k killer?

have you tried CLARITY 27 monitor? I'm looking for comparison for text editing
Great video! :) Why is it so hard to make symmetric bezels?
Haha, yeah, that triggers me a bit as well, but it's honestly not that bad once you get used to it.
Because they want to be able to market “razor thin” bezels 🙄
Thanks, I was wondering whether this was any good and about the Matte vs Glossy differences. I may wait to find a 4K OLED monitor though.

The ASUS PA279CRV for like £500 is better than the studio display and I've got that profiled to a deltaE of less than 1.

Can you daisy chain two dough monitors for a single plug in on Macbook for both displays?
This video should've started right away talking about the company's sketchy behavior and long history of scamming costumers.
The best monitor to beat the studio display might be the new Dell monitors
