They are both fantastic. Aurora is my favorite, but Eivor is exceptional and so creative. I love them both.
Well, not gonna lie, Aurora will always be my preference, from the sound and tone of her voice to her expressive, impressive delivery of any song.
Couldn't really choose, both great versions but my alliance must lie with Aurora , i am a warrior after all.
Both these ladies are amazing. I feel like Aurora's performance is more emotional, but that's pretty much the way she always performs. As you said, the music just flows through her entire body. Also, I'm not sure about Eivor, but Cohen is one of Aurora's greatest influences (along with Dylan, who you also mentioned). And I believe this was performed at a tribute concert for Cohen, so she was probably feeling it even more than usual. Eivor was great too, though, as she always is.
Beautiful artists covering a beautiful Leonard Cohen song .........Aurora, to me. the Best of the best amd off course, Eivor, another great Nordic singer.........awesome pick, and I've watched some of your previous Aurora reactions, and I can perfectly tell you love her, couldn't be otherwise I guess. Cohen is a voice of our times, I'm over 70, my acknowledge for quite a long time....
Jennifer Warnes does a great version of this wonderful song . For me the version i prefer. I just love Aurora she is so tallented. I hope to se her in Kristiansand in july. Eivor..one of the best vocalists i'v heard . From Faroeislands she is really something else. She is coming to Stockholm in october and guess Who have tickets to that concert? Cant wait. Both are really good versions. My personal preference is for Eivør.
I'm a big Aurora fan, but I have a hard time picking here! Both very good. She had no idea about her arms moving until she was told, and was shocked seeing it herself. She puts so much emotions into every performance and uses everything she has I believe. Some find it distracting, but to me it just fascinating to watch. She moves her hands in between playing on the piano as well, and struggle sitting still during interviews. Her movements are less erratic now, but she still can't not move her hands 😄.
Both are great, but Auroras performance are on a different level✨. As a weirdo I might be biased 🤣
AURORA is a cover genius and Eivor is the greatest vocalist in the world. AURORA's cover of Across the Universe is greatest cover I have ever seen. Eivor's live performance of Falling Free is the greatest live performance of a song I have ever seen. Eivor's guitar playing is really good also.
Eivor is from Fareo Islands. Kingdom of Denmark. Such a nice song just a relaxing Sunday (so far). Sitting here watching it rain and listening to these. Both done so nicely. Keep becoming more of and Eivor fan. My wife is to now after the concert. 3 videos are there now and properly labeled with some help. There not covers but sometime in the future you can just watch or use on other channel sometime. Hope you are enjoying your Sunday. Take care.
Both cool versions. I knew and love Aurora version (which was closer to original then usual Aurora covers but it was probably because of respect to the Cohen + it was his band as far I saw). Too be honest prefer Aurora version - beautiful suiting voice and so expressive and into the music. But I like Eivor version too. She has also her characteristic sound (also nice harmonies and I felt some emotion in voice too).
eivor did a cover of kate bushs running up that hill three weeks ago for the icelandic television.
I adore Eivor but to me the definitive version of this song is by Jennifer Warnes in her tribute album by the same name. Album is stunning.
