I personally feel like it's completed. It'd be great to have more stories with him involved and I really wanted him to meet Kazuha and hopefully get more closure but for his feelings and pain, only time will heal. It will take years or centuries, until his past and his time in the fatui is something that's only a distant memory.
He needs just some therapy from Nahida. By the end of the quest he was quite still nihilistic and suicidal. He still doesn't find value in his life, he says he only exists to be used by people. And he thinks relationships can only be transactional, not based on love and goodness. So yea, he needs some emotional work. And he NEEDS to have a confrontation with Dottore...the guy that controlled his whole life. And maaaybbee some closure with Ei, but I doubt that would happen

Scara wasin't evil for the sake of being evil. He tried to be good, he tried to do everything right, and all it brought him was pain and suffering. When he realized he inflicted so much of that same suffering on others he tried to take it back. He was never going to be punished even after everything he did, but he tried to take it back anyway. Thats not just being sorry, thats repentance, and its why hes such a great character.

@@farannazar155 It was still Nahida who offered him the chance to change himself. Remember the Traveler and Paimon were strongly against him being a free man when they saw him walk around the Sanctuary of Surasthana, thinking he was still locked up as Nahida's prisoner.
@Onii-chan Nahida lore are kind of same with scara with the feeling of loneliness and betrayals, thats why she can understand his feeling and give him a chance to change. Both have a really great lore why hate one of them and compare which one is the best. 🤷
Bad circumstances and influences can turn even the one with a pure "heart" Evil, Wanderer after realising what he had done was wrong he tried to change and repent for his sins..the best redemption arc in all of genshin for me.
Let's be honest Scaramouche is the best character in this game. His first ever appearance is very memorable, His lore is also very good, The story quest was also cool, And his character development is just the icing on the cake. Love you Scara~!😍😍😍💖💖
His story still makes me cry. He is, ironically, the most human out of the cast we have. Especially in the beginning he experienced every emotion in its fullest and that was unfortunately what allowed dottorre to manipulate him the most. His "redemption" quest was so well writen and he is honestly one of the best written characters in game. I really do simp for characters based on their lore- Yeah so edit bc i do come back to this video a lot and coming back after realizing something...and i dont mean this to be "edgy" or whatever but i realized that a big reason im so...fixated on him isnt due to simping but more i see my own shit reflected in him? From shit as a child to a very misguided teenaged years to trying so fucking hard to be a better person now. This isn't me trying to be edgy because genuinely id rather this wasnt the case. The "funny" part about this was me getting emotional over him setting a new best over a crit a trial raiden did back in February is what made all of this click into place and i had an existential crisis over it for a moment...😅
Even more ironic when you take into consideration that Il Dottore is most likely a human being who modified himself/created multiple “segments” and yet he was responsible for far more cruelty and wanton suffering than a divine prototype puppet was capable of.

i love how most of the fan base sympathised for the wanderer, even those who hated him started to like him. Like me lol. I used to hate him with a full passion but now i went through his backstory. Damn, for a puppet, he is hurting so much inside. Like, he is far more emotional than raiden's other puppets, it is like he has a soul. He has a spirit, he is alive and breathing. He is something more than just a puppet, thats why Ei chose to let him go and be free.
That's why it is saddening. Because he was created with emotion unlike the Raiden puppet but because of this very emotion, he thought he was discarded and see the very same emotion as a flaw. He didn't realize that he already have a heart all along but he just doesn't seen it because he thought a heart is something you can only see. A visible heart. But he have one all along. Just the fact that he love everyone at Tatarasuna and took care of the kid and got hurt by them when they were gone is a very definition that he is a human. He have a heart. And that emotion is not a flaw but his strength to move on forward. I can even say that he is more of a perfect creation that the Raiden puppet despite being the prototype.
I love my scara but I still think Ei overlooked the fact that no matter how much he is like a human, he doesn't obey by the human rules, that's why it caused so many tragedies in his life....
I do, he's such an incredible character I can totally understand his pain and sorrow and he feels too real since he's well written not like other characters when we know nothing about their origins Scara feels more human to me than the rest of them
I believe genshin has amazing written lore for every single character but they are pretty bad at presenting their stories. Like look at scaramouche, I love him so much because of how much we are able to learn about him through gameplay and quests. The other characters? Read the artifacts and books? I wish they would also show their stories like scara to us :(

I've seen so many people disappointed in how Hoyoverse portrayed his redemption arc, but I honestly think it's the most intricate and beautiful yet tragic story I've come to learn of. This is so amazing and I am obsessed. Thank you for sharing with us.
His redemption was so well written, he didnt try to justify what he did even when he had no memory of his past sins. He was willing to shoulder them even if he would struggle. However, Ei's "redemption" was...honestly kinda shit.

Like with everyone just didn't mentioned or show a single thing after what she did, this feels more like vhd and the whole 3 acts was just nothing. Even the voicelines of other like Thoma was so dull like "well, she just did an oopsie" or Ei just literally passing the blame to her puppet. And then after we almost got killed many times by her, we don't have a single reservation when we met her again during the 1st story quest. While in scara, we are constantly reminding him of his past deeds and how his path to redeem himself is still a long way to go.

I agree, I like Ei I really do, but her redemption was horrible, thus she’s my least favorite among the archons. In circumstances like when she took thomas vision she said that the shogun should be apologetic to him rather than herself, making it known she feels the shogun should be taken accountable for the bad things that happened, and while I do agree, Ei was the root of it and didn’t bother to step in. Now there are Circumstances where she isn’t completely to blame or not to blame at all, such as what happened to Scaramouche, it was partially his fault for looking at things the worse way, but because Ei or Miko never communicated with him along with the Doctor influencing him, he’s more a victim than a villain. There is also what happened to Kazuhas friend where people don’t like Ei, which honestly I don’t think she’s to blame at all. A duel before the throne is something that has happened in past culture, she didn’t kill him for nothing, plus the friend willingly wanted to take part in it and face the Musono Hitotachi, even Kazuha says he holds no ill intent towards her because he believes his friend died an honorable death. I really wished that they made her character better, everything she did was out of grief, and she clearly wants to make up for her mistakes, and once we see what happened 500 years before the current timeline we will understand better, but she yet to actually redeem herself, I’ve theorized characters will have 3 story quests, so I hope in the future in a story quest or not she can have more of a proper redemption. Back to the wanderer, the way he was redeemed was probably the best way, he wanted to erase himself to bring the ones who died in his hand back, but in the end her erased himself memory wise so now the fatui can’t hunt him down and he is free. He’s not completely goody goody and the traveler clearly has a grudge against him, but because Nahida, someone who can emphasize with him gave him a second chance, he can atleast stop his wrong doings. Also what irritates me is that when some people say he shouldn’t have been redeemed or whatever, are the same people who say Signora should come back or something. She got what she deserved even Paimon said that, I DO BELIEVE that she was done dirty and deserved a better ending, but she isn’t innocent she is similar to Scaramouche. I wrote WAY to much. Sorry, just wanted to lay my thoughts 😢

I really admire how hoyoverse writes their villains. Their redemption arcs are not them justifying what they have done but owning to all the sins they committed. Like how otto did his, yes the guy is irredeemable but he never did justify all the actions he did but he owned them but in the end his efforts earned the respect of the players(they still hate him xD). Here we see how scaramouche’s journey from the “betrayals” to how he wished to hopefully change the outcome by erasing “scaramouche/kabukimono”. Much respect to him since even if his alternate persona is innocent from his past self’s sin, he owned to them and wish to make amends, because he knows even with all this effort, it wont be enough to right all the wrongs he did before. Which makes him a very well written character with all this depths to his lore. I’m just afraid to see the end of his journey, because i’m quite sure it will be very sad.
I hope hoyoverse never closes the servers and we atleast keep seeing him and other characters in events...I have been really scared ever since I heard games do that ^^;

I might be wrong too but, i think to some degree, we’ll hear about her again once we officially meet Capitano, basing on the lore, he’s theorized to be the Bloodstained Knight. Who was a friend of Singora’s lover if my memory is correct. Thats why on the harbinger teaser, Pierro still mentioned her. Load of copium xD maybe we’ll see her again.
Scaramouche spent all of his days feeling rejected, betrayed, thrown away as if he's nothing but a trash. This is what made him so angry and so resentful towards humanity as a whole. But then, he realized that its not exactly a betrayal. Ei did throw him away, but she choose to do rather than completely destroy him (like how yae suggested) and she left him i believe the husk (?) artifact which shows the shogun protection over him. Nowa never betray scaramuche, its all dottore's fault. And the kid? Dying of illness is not a form of betrayal, yet as someone who is practically immortal, he may see "death" as a form of betrayal. And so it break me when 2:18 comes and Scaramouche just hold Nahida hand. This is a man who no longer capable to trust anyone, who is always used by dottore and the fatui for what he was, not who he is. And yet, Nahida see him not only as an "asset", but rather, as a human. She give him acceptance when the world reject him the most. I think we all can learn something from that.
I know this will get lost in the sea of comments, but I just wanna say this video is gorgeous. As a video editor I love the techniques here, the timing, the structure; takes full advantage of the song. And the song is a brilliant choice - lyrics are perfect for Wanderer, vocals are angelic and even people feel the emotions even without understanding Japanese. The art is immensely impressive, closest to the official art I have seen and each expression was captured so well. Just like I aim in my AMVs, the backstory was presented beautifully in a short amount of time. I wish I can congratulate the creator directly, but they'll probably never read it :')
When i first saw him as the Balladeer, I never planned to get him. When I heard that he was going to be playable someday, I still didn't want to get him. When I saw his redesign as the Wanderer, I wasn't convinced to get him. After playing the Sumeru Interlude Quest, I got him and his signature weapon. I was saving for Alhaitham and his signature weapon, but the Wanderer's backstory, character development and voice-acting convinced me to get this precious boy. Easily my worst pulling session since I started playing this game (lost 50/50 in character banner and lost to Redhorn twice), but I have no regrets. I named him Tsubasa because he's finally free and able to spread his wings. He is now one of my children, along with Kazuha and Nahida. XD
Same for me. I loved his whole story, the personality and the way he decided to face his reality. I never planned to pull for him - now I’m saving for him to pull him whenever he pops up in the banners.
Honestly hoyo do make some of the best lores and personality for their male characters. Most of the male characters have actually really fun and touching stories but they left the tragic and saddest back stories for anemo. Kazuha, Itto, Zhongli, Xiao, Venti and now Wanderer are the most interesting characters I find in the game

Scaramouche’s backstory is forreal so tragic. He endured so much pain both mentally and physically. I’m glad he’s healing now and we get to see him so much more at peace. He’s not perfectly fine, but these things take tine. He’s moving forward now and settling into his new self after all that’s happened. I used to hate him so much, but after learning everything and finishing those quests, i can’t hate him anymore. Even though there are some things he’s done that i can’t forgive, i’m happy that he’s finding himself and is no longer tied down by the burdens of the past. This was a wonderfully done animation.
His tale is most likely among the best in the game. I'll never forget the time where he first meets the Traveler and discovers his hidden past. He is still like a lost child after having lived for so long. I'm overjoyed that Nahida provided him with the most appropriate course and hope for him, with the Traveler's assistance. Although he may not yet have fully moved over his previous wrongdoings, I can see that he is taking baby steps, little by little. His chatacter is important for me and his persona made an impact. I occasionally just want to cuddle him and sing him a lullaby. Or comb his hair and remind him how wonderful and special he is. The song here, the lyrics and meaning is just perfect. Just a little thought, I can imagine the Traveler (Lumine), singing this song as a record keeper, for the story she has witnessed.
If anyone other than Wanderer were to suffer like this, he would not have endured all of this. Remember, at least, all the patience he endured throughout his life. I always feel like crying when I think of him and all the Genshin characters, they really become more important than all the people I see. I wish I could thank the video maker.💙

This is really beautiful. Great job! Scaramouche is definitely one of the most well-written characters in the game. From 1.1 Unreconciled Stars event to 3.3 Interlude Archon Quest, they really took their time by slowly and subtly building up his lore. Poor guy was used…If only life was kinder to him before, because honestly he truly doesn’t deserve all the bad things that happened to him pre-Fatui. Hopefully we’ll get to see him again now that he’s slowly healing himself and is a wanderer.
Dude this should be an official animatic, it sums up his arc beautifully. I think wanderer is Genshin's most fleshed out character, he got 2 years worth of buildup and an amazing plot that ties in to so many aspects of the world and so many other characters, and there's no way his story is over yet.
This makes me want to cry. It's so gorgeous. The things he has done are inexcusable, and he knows that. He doesn't try to pretend otherwise. But what he needs to know now is redemption is possible. Even if he accepts it, and accepts the responsibility, the weight of all that sin is too much to bear. He needs to let himself be redeemed. There is hope, Wanderer, not all is lost.
He was such a good kid fu Dottore and tbh he's one of the few that feels like a real character with such inredible back story we feel that Scaramouche is alive instead of other characters that just appeared out of nowhere and we know yet nothing about their past
did anyone notice in the archon quest interlude when scara said he would be helping nahida from behind the scene? its KINDA just like how Ei was to Makoto in the past, when she became her body double. considering Nahida cant really fight...instead, scara will do it for her, maybe? I honestly felt so happy that scara ended up in sumeru, the future sumeru archon quests are gonna be so good, cant wait to see more of him and nahida
I love his lore very much, probably my favorite. I really think he has a very well written lore. It has this depth and complexity. His connection with Raiden and her abandonment. His desire to prove himself to her. His connection with the humans. His long lost gentle and innocent smile. His longing for a heart. His desperation when the gnosis is taken away from him. His purpose adn heart. I like details of Mihoyo putting his vision on the left side on his chest - where the human hearts are. Niwa: "You are human as far I am concerned. Atleast to us, we consider you as one of us. You don't have to prove yourself to anyone else. You have nothin to prove" -It means a lot to Wanderer, who longs for a heart. And the hurt and pain he felt when he thought Niwa "betrayed" him. (Go rot in hell Dotorre) His whole character is basically "A puppet who has emotions, who longs for a heart" Im still sad for him. After doing the archon quest, I feel empty. He erased his existence for the Tatarasuna people. Not only did their fate did not change at all which leads to his effort useless, he also lost their memories and moments together in this new history as a result. There is no more "Wanderer and Niwa" in this timeline. No more "Wanderer and Katsuragi". No more "Wanderer and Tatarasuna people". No more "Wanderer and the sick child". Even though the archon quest ended good with Wanderer being on our side. What does it say to Wanderer? He lost and suffered even more. Those people he very much cherished, he did not exist to them anymore. It is kinda sad how many just dismisses his character for simply being a brat and lacking attention, when he has such a beautiful written lore. I never thought I would love Wanderer this much lmao. I fell prey to his lore haha. I think he is the next character that I would c6. (Im sorry Xiao-)
It doesn't matter how often I watch this, I tear up every time (and I'm not one to cry easily). Scaramouche is the best written character of Genshin Impact to date. His story is tragic and so relatable, it breaks one's heart. The song underlines his struggles and hardships as well as his break-through to let go of his hurt and start over when he met Nahida. Thank you very much for sharing this piece of art with us. I'm very grateful for the dedicated and creative people in the Genshin Impact fandom.
I really like his arc so far; the most striking thing is his change from a white outfit (innocence, new life) to black (Fatui, jaded) to white again-- his old clothes, but with an update. Character design really helps tell that story just as much as the videos and backstory. Characters like that feel more real and relatable too, as you see them go through the cycle of "creation / fall / redemption / restoration" and I believe Scara is on the road toward restoration.
This hit close to home for me. His desperation for meaning and purpose is something I share. Him deciding to remember his past-life and sins to give his life meaning. I feel like I'd do the same as him.
His story made me love him more. At first I don't really want to get him at all. But doing his story made it all different. I eventually loved him. Gosh, anemo characters never failed to make my heart aches. I love all of them. And so happy I got them all. 😭They all deserve the whole world!
That was beautiful, it looked like a professional anime! He has the best story so far in the game, the anticipation for him to become playable was so big, and they really put their all into his story. I hope we’ll get more ar him quests with him, I really do love his character, it’s phenomenally well written.

So tragic and sad, yet so beautiful I'm glad that he's slowly accepting things, and will learn how to heal. That boy needs more closure, however, and I hope hoyoverse let's us witness it with more quests/stories with him in the near future!
Literally ever since i herd he was coming in the game, his official art and his archon quest, it made me love him even more than before. His character development, story quest, he got voiced by one of the best VA's in my opinion, everything about him is perfect. Im so happy mihoyo gave us a chance to pull for him. His backstory makes me cry every time, but its worth it. I hope we get to see him more in some future quests or events. Thank you for making this masterpiece💞

Scara wasin't evil for the sake of being evil. He tried to be good, he tried to do everything right, and all it brought him was pain and suffering. When he realized he inflicted so much of that same suffering on others he tried to take it back. He was never going to be punished even after everything he did, but he tried to take it back anyway. Thats not just being sorry, thats repentance, and its why hes such a great character.

@@farannazar155 It was still Nahida who offered him the chance to change himself. Remember the Traveler and Paimon were strongly against him being a free man when they saw him walk around the Sanctuary of Surasthana, thinking he was still locked up as Nahida's prisoner.
It's been 2 long years, and we finally got him, for me it was the best Genshin story I've seen so far, I love Scaramouche 💚

His story still makes me cry. He is, ironically, the most human out of the cast we have. Especially in the beginning he experienced every emotion in its fullest and that was unfortunately what allowed dottorre to manipulate him the most. His "redemption" quest was so well writen and he is honestly one of the best written characters in game.

Yeah so edit bc i do come back to this video a lot and coming back after realizing something...and i dont mean this to be "edgy" or whatever but i realized that a big reason im so...fixated on him isnt due to simping but more i see my own shit reflected in him? From shit as a child to a very misguided teenaged years to trying so fucking hard to be a better person now. This isn't me trying to be edgy because genuinely id rather this wasnt the case.
The "funny" part about this was me getting emotional over him setting a new best over a crit a trial raiden did back in February is what made all of this click into place and i had an existential crisis over it for a moment...😅
Even more ironic when you take into consideration that Il Dottore is most likely a human being who modified himself/created multiple “segments” and yet he was responsible for far more cruelty and wanton suffering than a divine prototype puppet was capable of.

i love how most of the fan base sympathised for the wanderer, even those who hated him started to like him. Like me lol. I used to hate him with a full passion but now i went through his backstory. Damn, for a puppet, he is hurting so much inside. Like, he is far more emotional than raiden's other puppets, it is like he has a soul. He has a spirit, he is alive and breathing. He is something more than just a puppet, thats why Ei chose to let him go and be free.
That's why it is saddening. Because he was created with emotion unlike the Raiden puppet but because of this very emotion, he thought he was discarded and see the very same emotion as a flaw. He didn't realize that he already have a heart all along but he just doesn't seen it because he thought a heart is something you can only see. A visible heart. But he have one all along. Just the fact that he love everyone at Tatarasuna and took care of the kid and got hurt by them when they were gone is a very definition that he is a human. He have a heart. And that emotion is not a flaw but his strength to move on forward. I can even say that he is more of a perfect creation that the Raiden puppet despite being the prototype.

Like look at scaramouche, I love him so much because of how much we are able to learn about him through gameplay and quests. The other characters? Read the artifacts and books? I've seen so many people disappointed in how Hoyoverse portrayed his redemption arc, but I honestly think it's the most intricate and beautiful yet tragic story I've come to learn of. This is so amazing and I am obsessed. Thank you for sharing with us.
His redemption was so well written, he didnt try to justify what he did even when he had no memory of his past sins. He was willing to shoulder them even if he would struggle.
However, Ei's "redemption" was...honestly kinda shit.

Like with everyone just didn't mentioned or show a single thing after what she did, this feels more like vhd and the whole 3 acts was just nothing. Even the voicelines of other like Thoma was so dull like "well, she just did an oopsie" or Ei just literally passing the blame to her puppet. And then after we almost got killed many times by her, we don't have a single reservation when we met her again during the 1st story quest. While in scara, we are constantly reminding him of his past deeds and how his path to redeem himself is still a long way to go.

I agree, I like Ei I really do, but her redemption was horrible, thus she’s my least favorite among the archons. In circumstances like when she took thomas vision she said that the shogun should be apologetic to him rather than herself, making it known she feels the shogun should be taken accountable for the bad things that happened, and while I do agree, Ei was the root of it and didn’t bother to step in.
Now there are Circumstances where she isn’t completely to blame or not to blame at all, such as what happened to Scaramouche, it was partially his fault for looking at things the worse way, but because Ei or Miko never communicated with him along with the Doctor influencing him, he’s more a victim than a villain.
There is also what happened to Kazuhas friend where people don’t like Ei, which honestly I don’t think she’s to blame at all. A duel before the throne is something that has happened in past culture, she didn’t kill him for nothing, plus the friend willingly wanted to take part in it and face the Musono Hitotachi, even Kazuha says he holds no ill intent towards her because he believes his friend died an honorable death. I really wished that they made her character better, everything she did was out of grief, and she clearly wants to make up for her mistakes, and once we see what happened 500 years before the current timeline we will understand better, but she yet to actually redeem herself, I’ve theorized characters will have 3 story quests, so I hope in the future in a story quest or not she can have more of a proper redemption.
Back to the wanderer, the way he was redeemed was probably the best way, he wanted to erase himself to bring the ones who died in his hand back, but in the end her erased himself memory wise so now the fatui can’t hunt him down and he is free. He’s not completely goody goody and the traveler clearly has a grudge against him, but because Nahida, someone who can emphasize with him gave him a second chance, he can atleast stop his wrong doings.
Also what irritates me is that when some people say he shouldn’t have been redeemed or whatever, are the same people who say Signora should come back or something. She got what she deserved even Paimon said that, I DO BELIEVE that she was done dirty and deserved a better ending, but she isn’t innocent she is similar to Scaramouche.

I really admire how hoyoverse writes their villains. Their redemption arcs are not them justifying what they have done but owning to all the sins they committed. Like how otto did his, yes the guy is irredeemable but he never did justify all the actions he did but he owned them but in the end his efforts earned the respect of the players(they still hate him xD). Here we see how scaramouche’s journey from the “betrayals” to how he wished to hopefully change the outcome by erasing “scaramouche/kabukimono”. Much respect to him since even if his alternate persona is innocent from his past self’s sin, he owned to them and wish to make amends, because he knows even with all this effort, it wont be enough to right all the wrongs he did before. Which makes him a very well written character with all this depths to his lore. I’m just afraid to see the end of his journey, because i’m quite sure it will be very sad.
I hope hoyoverse never closes the servers and we atleast keep seeing him and other characters in events...I have been really scared ever since I heard games do that ^^;

Scaramouche spent all of his days feeling rejected, betrayed, thrown away as if he's nothing but a trash. This is what made him so angry and so resentful towards humanity as a whole.
But then, he realized that its not exactly a betrayal. Ei did throw him away, but she choose to do rather than completely destroy him (like how yae suggested) and she left him i believe the husk (?) artifact which shows the shogun protection over him.
Nowa never betray scaramuche, its all dottore's fault. And the kid? Dying of illness is not a form of betrayal, yet as someone who is practically immortal, he may see "death" as a form of betrayal.
And so it break me when 2:18 comes and Scaramouche just hold Nahida hand. This is a man who no longer capable to trust anyone, who is always used by dottore and the fatui for what he was, not who he is. And yet, Nahida see him not only as an "asset", but rather, as a human.
She give him acceptance when the world reject him the most. I think we all can learn something from that.

I know this will get lost in the sea of comments, but I just wanna say this video is gorgeous.
As a video editor I love the techniques here, the timing, the structure; takes full advantage of the song. And the song is a brilliant choice - lyrics are perfect for Wanderer, vocals are angelic and even people feel the emotions even without understanding Japanese. The art is immensely impressive, closest to the official art I have seen and each expression was captured so well.
Just like I aim in my AMVs, the backstory was presented beautifully in a short amount of time.
I wish I can congratulate the creator directly, but they'll probably never read it :')
When i first saw him as the Balladeer, I never planned to get him. When I heard that he was going to be playable someday, I still didn't want to get him. When I saw his redesign as the Wanderer, I wasn't convinced to get him. After playing the Sumeru Interlude Quest, I got him and his signature weapon.
I was saving for Alhaitham and his signature weapon, but the Wanderer's backstory, character development and voice-acting convinced me to get this precious boy. Easily my worst pulling session since I started playing this game (lost 50/50 in character banner and lost to Redhorn twice), but I have no regrets.
I named him Tsubasa because he's finally free and able to spread his wings. He is now one of my children, along with Kazuha and Nahida. XD

Same for me. I loved his whole story, the personality and the way he decided to face his reality. I never planned to pull for him - now I’m saving for him to pull him whenever he pops up in the banners.

Honestly hoyo do make some of the best lores and personality for their male characters. Most of the male characters have actually really fun and touching stories but they left the tragic and saddest back stories for anemo. Kazuha, Itto, Zhongli, Xiao, Venti and now Wanderer are the most interesting characters I find in the game

@@wonderstorm116 al though just like his descendants, He wanted to be friends with humans, who never accepted him, the way he took it was not in a negative way like most people would, he's pretty positive overall and pretty fun!
Scaramouche’s backstory is forreal so tragic. He endured so much pain both mentally and physically. I’m glad he’s healing now and we get to see him so much more at peace. He’s not perfectly fine, but these things take tine. He’s moving forward now and settling into his new self after all that’s happened. I used to hate him so much, but after learning everything and finishing those quests, i can’t hate him anymore. Even though there are some things he’s done that i can’t forgive, i’m happy that he’s finding himself and is no longer tied down by the burdens of the past. This was a wonderfully done animation.
His tale is most likely among the best in the game. I'll never forget the time where he first meets the Traveler and discovers his hidden past. He is still like a lost child after having lived for so long. I'm overjoyed that Nahida provided him with the most appropriate course and hope for him, with the Traveler's assistance. Although he may not yet have fully moved over his previous wrongdoings, I can see that he is taking baby steps, little by little.
His chatacter is important for me and his persona made an impact. I occasionally just want to cuddle him and sing him a lullaby. Or comb his hair and remind him how wonderful and special he is.
The song here, the lyrics and meaning is just perfect. Just a little thought, I can imagine the Traveler (Lumine), singing this song as a record keeper, for the story she has witnessed.
If anyone other than Wanderer were to suffer like this, he would not have endured all of this. Remember, at least, all the patience he endured throughout his life. I always feel like crying when I think of him and all the Genshin characters, they really become more important than all the people I see. I wish I could thank the video maker.💙

This is really beautiful. Great job! Scaramouche is definitely one of the most well-written characters in the game. From 1.1 Unreconciled Stars event to 3.3 Interlude Archon Quest, they really took their time by slowly and subtly building up his lore. Poor guy was used…If only life was kinder to him before, because honestly he truly doesn’t deserve all the bad things that happened to him pre-Fatui. Hopefully we’ll get to see him again now that he’s slowly healing himself and is a wanderer.

Dude this should be an official animatic, it sums up his arc beautifully.
I think wanderer is Genshin's most fleshed out character, he got 2 years worth of buildup and an amazing plot that ties in to so many aspects of the world and so many other characters, and there's no way his story is over yet.
This makes me want to cry. It's so gorgeous. The things he has done are inexcusable, and he knows that. He doesn't try to pretend otherwise. But what he needs to know now is redemption is possible. Even if he accepts it, and accepts the responsibility, the weight of all that sin is too much to bear. He needs to let himself be redeemed. There is hope, Wanderer, not all is lost.

He was such a good kid fu Dottore and tbh he's one of the few that feels like a real character with such inredible back story we feel that Scaramouche is alive instead of other characters that just appeared out of nowhere and we know yet nothing about their past
did anyone notice in the archon quest interlude when scara said he would be helping nahida from behind the scene?
its KINDA just like how Ei was to Makoto in the past, when she became her body double.
considering Nahida cant really fight...instead, scara will do it for her, maybe?
I honestly felt so happy that scara ended up in sumeru, the future sumeru archon quests are gonna be so good, cant wait to see more of him and nahida

I love his lore very much, probably my favorite. I really think he has a very well written lore. It has this depth and complexity.
His connection with Raiden and her abandonment. His desire to prove himself to her. His connection with the humans. His long lost gentle and innocent smile. His longing for a heart. His desperation when the gnosis is taken away from him. His purpose adn heart.
I like details of Mihoyo putting his vision on the left side on his chest - where the human hearts are.
Niwa: "You are human as far I am concerned. Atleast to us, we consider you as one of us. You don't have to prove yourself to anyone else. You have nothin to prove"
-It means a lot to Wanderer, who longs for a heart. And the hurt and pain he felt when he thought Niwa "betrayed" him. (Go rot in hell Dotorre)
His whole character is basically "A puppet who has emotions, who longs for a heart"
Im still sad for him. After doing the archon quest, I feel empty. He erased his existence for the Tatarasuna people. Not only did their fate did not change at all which leads to his effort useless, he also lost their memories and moments together in this new history as a result.
There is no more "Wanderer and Niwa" in this timeline. No more "Wanderer and Katsuragi". No more "Wanderer and Tatarasuna people". No more "Wanderer and the sick child".
Even though the archon quest ended good with Wanderer being on our side. What does it say to Wanderer? He lost and suffered even more. Those people he very much cherished, he did not exist to them anymore.
It is kinda sad how many just dismisses his character for simply being a brat and lacking attention, when he has such a beautiful written lore.
I never thought I would love Wanderer this much lmao. I fell prey to his lore haha. I think he is the next character that I would c6. (Im sorry Xiao-)
It doesn't matter how often I watch this, I tear up every time (and I'm not one to cry easily). Scaramouche is the best written character of Genshin Impact to date. His story is tragic and so relatable, it breaks one's heart. The song underlines his struggles and hardships as well as his break-through to let go of his hurt and start over when he met Nahida. Thank you very much for sharing this piece of art with us. I'm very grateful for the dedicated and creative people in the Genshin Impact fandom.

I really like his arc so far; the most striking thing is his change from a white outfit (innocence, new life) to black (Fatui, jaded) to white again-- his old clothes, but with an update. Character design really helps tell that story just as much as the videos and backstory. Characters like that feel more real and relatable too, as you see them go through the cycle of "creation / fall / redemption / restoration" and I believe Scara is on the road toward restoration.
This hit close to home for me. His desperation for meaning and purpose is something I share.
Him deciding to remember his past-life and sins to give his life meaning. I feel like I'd do the same as him.
I really love and appreciate nahida for the therapy he gave to scaramouche
His story made me love him more. At first I don't really want to get him at all. But doing his story made it all different. I eventually loved him. Gosh, anemo characters never failed to make my heart aches. I love all of them. And so happy I got them all. 😭They all deserve the whole world!
That was beautiful, it looked like a professional anime! He has the best story so far in the game, the anticipation for him to become playable was so big, and they really put their all into his story. I hope we’ll get more ar him quests with him, I really do love his character, it’s phenomenally well written.

I'm glad that he's slowly accepting things, and will learn how to heal. That boy needs more closure, however, and I hope hoyoverse let's us witness it with more quests/stories with him in the near future!

Literally ever since i herd he was coming in the game, his official art and his archon quest, it made me love him even more than before. His character development, story quest, he got voiced by one of the best VA's in my opinion, everything about him is perfect. Im so happy mihoyo gave us a chance to pull for him. His backstory makes me cry every time, but its worth it. I hope we get to see him more in some future quests or events. Thank you for making this masterpiece💞
