Oh, yeah! Damn, Bowie in typical excellent form! Elegant gentleman. And mad props to Mr. Adrien Belew on really innovative guitar. What an addition he was to this band. They were a touring machine at this point. What a time this was, Bowie-wise; so much greatness having already been achieved...and so very much more would come! David Bowie was no mere singer or any old songwriter, arranger, etc...the man was a beacon of creativity! A true original. I really feel, he's the one artist of the past 100 years, most utterly, consistently brilliant. All the way to the finest end-of-everything farewell of Blackstar. The album being his finest work of his career. I know that's a bold statement. Purists, I deserve some hate. Though I'm one of you! I love his records, particularly Low, Lodger, Station-To-Station, et al. I still put Blackstar at the top of that mountain of greatness. But of course, it's all subjective, mercifully. Cheers to everyone who loves David Bowie like a friend.

Exacto, gran artista, de hecho estuvo en Chile dos veces: 1990 y 1997. En 1990 con el gran guitarrista Adrian Belew!
I bet if you set Belew up to do fifty consecutive solos of this, each one would be unique and equally mesmerising and innovative. You can tell Bowie himself loves Adrian.

En 1985 compre el Cassette Lets Dance en la Mitica Calle San Diego en Colt 70 Santiago Chile .Además viene China Girl , Cat People .
I love this song, is so good and well done that it makes me want to dance but crying =( , actually I found it sad , the lyrics .

Check out his 2003 nyc version its brilliant.
Lame drum sound throughout the concert, not my favourite band of his....

+kerplunka409 Yo tuve la gran grandísima suerte de ir a verlo (súper cerca del escenario, en cancha) Fue es-pec-ta-cu-lar.... (no se podían entrar cámaras pero me las arreglé (con algo de ayuda..) para entrar una y tomar algunas fotos, lamentablemente d muy baja resolución..) Lo raro en ese entonces, fue que no había mucho público.. casi menos de la mitad del estadio, diría yo, eso me llamó profundamente la atención... era David Bowie..! y yo obviamente estaba embobada....siempre me gustaron sus canciones y ese era mi primer concierto, yo súper chica... Tuve la oportunidad de viajar a Los Angeles el año 89 y poder comprar varios cassettes que aquí a Chile no llegaban. Bowie era extraordinario... quizás ahora que murió, muchos van a comenzar a apreciar su legado.
Estoy con una pena inmensa.. un músico excepcional que se fue demasiado pronto y sin aviso :(

+Katherine Stewart Mira pude tomar unas pocas pero no salieron muy buenas... (en esos tpos... yo con una cámara marca Olympus no más, de las rascas, sin zoom... pero como estaba muy bien ubicada en cancha, bien adelante, creí que saldrían pasables las fotos.... con DB moviéndose todo el rato, era difícil.. En todo caso las tengo guardadas en una maletita como recuerdo, la entrada también (así de huasa jaja..) Hubiese ido denuevo el 97, pero lamentablemente no estaba en Stgo. Me quedo con el recuerdo de su primer concierto en Chile que fue inolvidable para mí, lejos la performance más profesional que he visto en vivo! él y los Rolling, tb... pero la voz de David Bowie más su capacidad teatral les ganaba a todos, además elegantísimo..un caballero cantando rock. Grande Bowie!
