BROWN BUTTERSCOTCH MOTHERFUCKERS I GOT A SHOOTING!!!
"GET THE FUCK OUT!"
@@bast4rdlyreaper Doesn't feel like it's been 2 years since this, lol. But yeah, still a timeless classic and one I hope to spring on players in D&D at some point.
👍😁😄😅😂
The fact that this story is literally referenced in the Cyberpunk Red rulebook 👌
Really? What page?
@@ryangeoghagan3076 page 26
Just read the rulebook a bit and didn't knew it. At first I was like "Wait a moment..." and after I realized I remembered right I had tears in my eyes from laughing.
Wow, that is subtle!
most fearsome agents:
5: KGB agent
4: CIA agent
3: Mossad agent
2: IRS agent
1: real estate agent
0: Scott Brown.
That's the real estate agent...
"I may be crazy enough to take on Batman, but the IRS?! NOOOO SIR!"
This video is how I convinced one of my friends to play Cyberpunk Red. He is now playing a borderline cyberpsycho Exec/Solo who works for Scott Brown. Screaming "GET THE FVCK OUT, I HAVE A SHOWING!" is his favorite thing to do.
Scott brown agents just seem to choose violence every time. I see the appeal of kicking open a door like swat and blasting the fuck out of random items in a room to show I mean business.
@@bulletsunderpressure That is 100% what his character does. Even when entirely unnecessary and counterproductive.
@@GreasusGoldtooth Go forth my brethen! Dont let that pesky red tape stop you! XD

I love that the Scott Brown company eventually saw the video and embraced it. That was great.
Where did they do that?
@John Collins - Nice. 🤣🤣🤣
@@johncollins7631 that’s how you do public relations, if I have a property to sell or buy I’ll go with scot brown since I know they are dedicated and have a sense of humor now.
Really? Proof?
@@squatchhammer7215 There was a tweet from Seth Skorkowsky when he received the package from a Scott Brown team after one of them saw the video.
The shirt doesn't have the most important part, "I've got a showing!"
I agree. It needs that killer line.
@@jefferydraper4019 Put it on the back.
Three years later, and that "small group of people who get the joke" has about 90,000 members including the agency itself.
Enjoy that hoodie, Seth. :)

Five years later 174k!
So many of us, and it's some sort of art, ain't it choom?

If I ever play Cyberpunk again I will play a Rockerboy in a band called "the Scott Brown Incident"
And war stories are my favorite part of RPGs.
That's....fucking genius. DO IT!!
I had an idea for a rockerboy band called the Manhatten Project. Thoughts?
I love the stories. One of my favorites is actually from the first or second session I ever played. Basically while this was going on I was helping hold back a group of goblins consisting of riders and footsoldiers, meanwhile a friend of mine who was playing a wizard decided to cast a spell that caused a room where goblin necromancers were casting a spell ,trying to raise a goblin warlord, to fill with a thick choking smoke. This caused the GM to make a concentration check for the goblins which all but one of them failed causing the small side room they were in to explode.
Why not be an actual real estate agent...w/ combat training and packing heat! XD
War Stories should be the name of your debut album.
Just imagine how pissed off that agent will be when he realizes there isn’t going to be a showing...
Dear God....
Yesterday afternoon, I was finishing some office work at my job before clocking out when suddenly the phone rang and the caller ID said “Brown, Scott”. Thank you Seth for making me legitimately terrified.
I live in Denton, TX. This is going to affect me in new ways every time I see a Scott Brown Realty sign from now on. Thanks, Seth.
I live in Fort Worth TX. I didn't know S S lived in my area.
One of y'all need to make a few friends at Scott Brown and show them this video. I want reactions, people! I want to see actual Scott Brown agents finding out that they inspired the hardest motherfuckers in real estate, circa 2020!
2 of my friends just moved there. I also almost moved to Denison last year.
Dallas area. Yeah it's going to affect me
Another Dentonite here. I’ve been watching Seth’s videos for about a year now, and somehow I missed the Scott Brown story! Holy crap, this is amazing!
Not boring at all Seth, Keep it up!
Sureyoucan 1000 percent agree
Agreed! I loved the recap. Hope you do more videos like this.
Love your username, reminds me of our Ethan. He just cancelled a game he'd begged for after I agreed to forever DM to satiate his need for a game. Then casually announced the weekend we had planned for months to finally end our previous epic campaign. Spoilers, the campaign isn't actually epic, our DM didn't want to learn 5e, just wanted to run our 5e PCs through 3e enemies he's memorized. My groups are the most functional folks. Also, Seth, moar stories my dude!

Arasaka: I fear no man, but that thing?
*Scott Brown Realty*
Arasaka: It scares me.
Oh man, I went to court today(accompanying a relative) and one of the men running about looking for the parties yelled out "Scott? Brown?" and all of a sudden I felt like, a pump in my chest.
My name is Scott Brown, although I am not the real estate agent in Texas....
I have running joke with my son and his friends where I pop my head into the basement and tell them they have to go.
This running gag is immediately being upgraded!
I work in real estate management and this speaks to me on an emotional level.
Time to get your light assault weapons license
I swear, having "Scott Brown" be an actual powerful faction in one of those groups sounds epic.
If Scott Brown was located in Eastern Europe, this kind of thing wouldn't be unheard of. I can see it now, "The Scott Brown Anit-Gopnik Unit."
Name not very Eastern-European tho.
@@NodDisciple1 Szkocik Brąz
So I just got my copy of Cyberpunk RED, and lo and behold, what do I find being referenced?! Looks like they noticed, Seth.
Holy cow! I missed that!
This is already ported into my D-20 game, Scott Brown is the only real estate company operating in the anarchy slums of Dresden.
I'm thinking Scott Brown is going to start appearing in my Werewolf chronicles.
I'm planning to put him in Battletech. He'll be throwing squatters off of planets for sale with four Atlases and two Pheonix Hawk Land-Air Mechs!
Whoops! I think Scott Brown just bought the whole world in my homebrew Starfinder campaign...
@@NodDisciple1 oh fuck, I’m moving back out of the sphere.
I was worldbuilding a setting, thinking of having one of the systems run by Scott Brown Real Estate and Policing
That's awesome. In our group it's, "How much armor do you have?"
We were playing a post-apocalyptic game, and the group set up a meeting with a powerful local gang who were known for hording all of the best tech. Well, the team had just taken in a new player, and this guy had the clever idea of ambushing the representative when he shows up in order to get better leverage over him.
So the gang rep shows up in tactical armor, riding a really heavy armored bike and the new guy jumps him. A lucky shot takes the guy off of his bike and out of the fight in a single hit. The new guy become really obsessed with the bike and all of it's goodies, so I point out that it has some kind of round pendant with a short chain stuck onto the bottom of the control panel. The guy quickly grabs the chain and pulls the "pendant" off of the bike.
While examining the featureless coin-like pendant, he sees that the display panel has lit up and is displaying numbers. 8, then 7, then 6, etc. To my surprise, the party becomes even more interested in the bike and this impressive computer it clearly has. They begin poking around it and watching the countdown until it hit's 0. Then I rolled a quick roll, did some calculations. Nobody was going to survive the detonation, so to be fair I thought that just maybe I could knock some of that damage down with their armor and just have them thrown clear of the worst of the blast.
I asked the question, "How much armor do you have?".
The group leader looked sideways at the new guy, and then frowned at me. "We're dead, aren't we?"
"Yeah."
It's been around 20 years now and to this day any time we're playing any game and somebody is about to take or deal a lot of damage, someone will inevitably call out that line.
This, is glorious.
Our play group has something similar. "Does X(normally fire) set off my Y(insert an unreasonable amount of high explosives.)" It is always a serious question that cuts through any other conversation at the time. The immediate follow up is "Am I in range?"
@@gmradio2436 That's hilarious.
@@timogle4840 Our GM did not think so. It was first uttered about 30 seconds in to a new campaign.
Thanks FNG, thanks.
I hope nobody held any animosity towards him because this is absolutely hilarious.
I know I'm coming very late to this particular video but I recently shared it with my players because we had a sort of similar incident in Death In Space when one of the players, in order to talk his way out of a potential lynch mob kicking off, pulled out this old culinary association jacket patch that his character had found somewhere. He held it up like a badge, pointed his pistol, and shouted "HEALTH INSPECTOR, EVERYONE FREEEEEEZE!!"
The crowd, never having encountered a health inspector before, was unsure of what his duties might be, started thinking that he was literally there to clean up their sector in which they lived in squalor because of a local gang dispute.
He's now essentially the sheriff of Aurum Sector 80, and "HEALTH INSPECTOR! FREEEEEEZE!!" has become the go-to rallying cry.
If you can make all of the war stories this entertaining, this could become your most watched videos.
Agreed. I came into this thinking, meh, another RPG story. But turned out to be great and gave me some laughs before I head to the grind of work...
That was the best telling of that incident yet!
I think you're just happy that Mike portrayed you instead of having Todd.
Were you there?
He was. It was his idea to call a real-estate agent.
So what you're saying is that it's all Jorge's fault? Jorge Soto, thank you!
@@SSkorkowsky Even aside from starting this EPIC in-game joke, that is a really awesome idea! Stuff like this is why I LOVE table-top games. I like the computer games (I can play by myself), but you just cannot get this kind of "Box? What box? Why should I think outside of something that doesn't even exist?" scenarios.
Sir, I salute you!
"The Scott Brown Incident" sounds like an awesome band name.
I will include Scott Brown agents if an estate is ever for sale in any of my adventures.
Joining my first Cyberpunk game as a Scott Brown Fixer named Kashyur Rentcheck!
Thank you for this legendary story :)
My co-writer for Highway of Blood included Scott Brown as an NPC in our Highway of Blood scenario. Not sure he's much like your Scott Brown, but the reference has been quite well received.
I moved across the country recently and just spotted a sign for Scott Brown. I geeked out harder than I probably should.
I've used the Scott Brown name for a real estate agency in my modern Call of Cthulhu game after seeing this video.
Do you have vids of it?
The cultist knife fell, leting the sanguine contents flow upon the horrid circle. From which rose a smoke. A smoke taking a shape not unlike that of an octopod, a dragon, and a man. A form becoming horribly solid in the moonlight. Great wings cast the gathered men in to shadow as the form stood to gain it's full height. Then far across the room a voice called out, "SOTT BROWN MOTHER FUCKER! I GOT A SHOWING!" A sound not unlike crashing thunder rung out twice. Cultist scattered in every direction, panic and dread compression setting in. The great figure hunched and backed out of the circle. Dissolving into the smoke from whence it came. As it is read in that ancient poem in the necrotic manuscript. "Battle not the emissaries of Scout Brown, least even mighty gods be struck down."
Imma be mad if there’s no Scott Brown agents in Cyberpunk 2077
I'm waiting for the game to be finished still and I look forward to seeing if he is.
loved the vid! we had somthing similar when we were playing the starwars rpg our GM told us that we couldnt call our YT 1200 freighter "The meillenium falcon" so we decided on "The centennial hawk", we now have a fleet of freighters with a unit of time and a bird combo namesakes such as
"The Decade raptor"
"The Minute wren"
"The Epoch Albatross"
and
"The Jiffy Condor"
That is wonderful. I love it when people go with a theme like that.
I wonder if there's a "Second Pigeon"
Or the Hour Peacock
The Moment Phoenix. XD
Jiffy Condor is a legit catchy name.
Shoot I want Scott Brown DLC for Cyberpunk 2077 now.
EPIC!!!
(And this comes to you from the guy who wrote and drew the Nova Citygun.)
Wait, really?
Tabletop War stories are always funny. I hope this becomes a regular part of the channel :)
Yes!!! I need more stories!
Heya twilight cast mark. That a statement of favoritism?
Twilight Caste are the caste I have had the most fun with. Long live the Unconquered Sun! ^_^

Oh my goodness that's amazing, even I fear Scott Brown now.
Personally I really like roleplay stories like this and your particular style really suits it. Keep up the good work.
I'm thinking of pitching Cyberpunck to my group as a break from D&D and CoC.
If I do, Scott Brown will definitely be involved -- beautiful!
This is exactly why I love tabletop games so much. Practically every group has a story like this one. Awesome story.
My favorite shirt you wear, Seth, is the "Respect your elders" one. I always get a kick out of seeing it.
That was one of the best war stories I've heard. Please start wearing the Scott Brown shirt for these types of videos! It's great!
Got any more War Stories?
I'd stay a while and listen to as many as you are willing to tell. With your career, I bet you have some more good ones.
This is my favorite cyberpunk story and I wasn't even there for it.... Hilarious
This video was amazing I was laughing so hard the entire time.
LOL. Omigod! This had me rolling! Well told. I love the characters' reaction at the table (especially Mustache) and your acting out of the Scott Brown realtor. I'd love to see more of these.
Great story! That's more or less how our Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay campaign wound up having a halfling clan named 'Spunklemeyer'. Our GM worked for an agency with client (a cookie company) named Otis Spunkmeyer. Enter Otis Spunklemeyer and his amazing circus.
Those cookies are really good!
Tex of the Black Pants Legion led me here. I now want to see Scoot Brown in Cyber Punk 2077.
Dreams can be really interesting to listen to, depending on the dream, of course. For instance, my friend told me that he had a dream where a mutual friend of us was dressed as an egg, ate an omelette, and slowly gave him a thumbs up.
Scott Brown Real Estate: The preferred real estate company of Adam Smasher.
I remember when running this game back in the 90's I had my own not as awesome Scott Brown Incident. A PC went to purchase a security system for his sweet new ride. When the salesman asked him "Lethal or Non-Lethal" his opened up wide and he said "I can get lethal?!"
Fun times.
Not boring at all. I want more stories. In fact, I think this is some of the most compelling content you can do concerning tabletop games. Please keep them coming.
My DM created a character the same way in dnd, only that character ended up being a god in the end and his name was Gilbert, and one of the players asked his last name, and my DM looked around and said the first Word that he saw: "dishwasher"... so Gilbert Dishwasher! And he had an army of washertroopers who couldn't shoot straight... and being a god and also CEO of dishwasher entreprise, à company that spreads in multiple plains To craft anything
Perfect :D
The beauty of rolling with a player's idea and coming up with something off the cuff.
I made a scream sheet about "The Apartment" one shot and I included a Scott Brown ad. The AD read "Scott Brown, Your Home in the Combat Zone"
I don't even play table top / pen and paper games, I dunno why your channel appered on my feed, but I keep watching because I love your story telling...
But Scott Brown having a showing, really made me laugh... amazing story man!
I want to drive to Texas just to find Dent and steal a Scott Brown Realty sign so badly now
The town is Denton.
I wouldnt chance it, tbh. Scott Brown doesnt fuck around
As I said in your Hellraiser box configurations collection video, I'm running a dread one-shot in 3 weeks, and of course the security agent tasked to protect the PCs is going to work for "Scott Brown Inc." And with this very little homage, Scott Brown's legend lives on.
I'm stealing that for my next Shadowrun campaign.
Maybe even a branch office in Ipswich.
That is the best! I'd like to see the real Scott Brown see this video, but at the same time I'd hate for any fallout to come back to you.
Dude, I was dying laughing at this! He was terrified when he heard the name Scott Brown!
I come back to this story every couple of months just to hear it again and see you double fire into the air behind your gamemaster’s screen. I have used Scott Brown in every cyberpunk game I’ve run for years now and even in some Call of Chthulu and DnD games. Just, thank you sir.
“Get out! I’ve got a showing!” That part gets me every time.
I just noticed that when the gunshot sound effect happens, Jack is in color. Good way to simulate muzzle flash 😁
This is one of those easily accessible "should have a million views" videos that anyone could enjoy.
I have not laughed so much over the telling of an RPG war story is a really long time. I have shared this with friends. This is so funny, please keep making these.
Dude seth is so fucking good at portraying every single one of these characters his face changes with each wardrobe choice. Oscar Worthy.
I am using this if I ever run cyberpunk
Why would you not?
I'm using this in all of my games, Cyberpunk or not lol
Will you put vids of it up on RUclips?
This is right up there with "go we must with foot and foot!" or "I want to listen and see if I can hear footprints".... (shortly followed by "you can hear footsteps. You can't hear footprints").
Depends on the drugs you are using, honestly. Pretty sure there is a street drug in CP2020 or SR that allows you to hear footprints.
I never thought war stories are boring, in fact, I always thought the sharing of war stories was one of the best parts of RPGing. IMO it is the one thing that connects players all over the world, their love of telling about their most awesome, most funny, most horrible RPG moments.
I will call my next PC Scott Brown in honor of this story :D Tell us more, Seth!!!
Ooooooh! I'm supposed to be creating characters for D&D. Hmmmm, I'm thinking a lawful neutral fighter. I mean, they're not EVIL, kicking out the people. They just want to make sure that they keep what is their own, right? But they don't play nicey-nice about it, either.
His ideal can be "Don't ever mess with a real estate agent."
Seth, I just want to be the first to congratulate you on a well deserved easter egg in the new Cyberpunk Red RPG book. So well deserved, thank you for bringing this world to so many new fans !

I love moments like this. It is also nice to hear other DMs willing to say "I had no idea it was gonna go down like this".... I always view my DMing as setting up dominoes and watching the players push them down. This is a perfect example of that, you set up all these dominoes, and the players chose what ones to knock down and it ended up in a crazy situation like this.... It is always a treat when both the DM and Players are honestly surprised and it is something that sticks with everyone involved.
We had a recurring mercenary group that a couple of party members were a part of that was named purely off one of us spotting a foam hand for the OKC Thunder in the room when asked who we worked for and blurting out Thunder Fist.
Sometimes ass pulls are the best inspiration.
Dude. Critical Role is a goddamn profit machine and it’s literally just people playing a game. When I saw you were doing a story time I practically squealed in excitement. MOAR
Here because someone at work was wearing a Scott Brown t-shirt. I truly enjoyed the story.
I love listening to these types of stories. Little things about in jokes, games, and just various stories about hilarious little events in game. Much better and funnier than just watching people play if you ask me.
I used a Scott Brown Real Estate agency in a town called Houillon in the Islands in the Reft adventure. The characters were directed to a house Scott Brown was selling (as soon as it wasn't a police crime scene any longer) for info on the missing crew of the Perfect Stranger. Good times.
Okay, just found this and as an actual Scott Brown that is actually into Cyberpunk I cannot state how much I love this and the attending music I found elsewhere. Thank you so much for making my name epic.
Thank God!?...i seen your ads for merchandise and i was like "who the hell is Scott Brown?" i even googled it...now i and the whole gaming world know the truth behind the myth. Thanks for the info and great story....love the channel, been watching for about 6 months and just got the first series of your books...so far so great! Keep up the good work and if you ever need a extra player for one of your games and you still live in the north Texas area drop a line. Keep up the GREAT work.
not boring more stories
Thank you so much!!! I borrowed this and it was amazing! I am running an open legend sci-fi game and have made a planet which is very much based on Cyberpunk. A couple of my players wanted to have a side quest. In their investigation of a shady contact, they find that their human "Chop Shop" is a property for purchase by Scott Brown. Much of the same events happen but without the players' initial knowledge. Then they start getting messages offering to show other properties they're looking into not realizing they're being tracked through cookies on a website by a businessman, they think one of them is going to get killed in the night and ditch the com unit which has all of his money and identity in his apartment so he "...doesn't get blown up..." Eventually though they ditch the original quest and make friends with Scott Brown's salesman and decide to buy a property from him when they have the funds. Thank you so much for a wonderful night of gaming.
Holy crap, that's funny. I love it. I wish I'd thought of the cookies and follow-up sales calls. That's brilliant.

This is a great year
No joke. There is a song called “mother fucker” by a musician named Scott Brown here on your tube. It’s a heavy synthwave cyberpunk in sound.
I love these stories. Didn't know you were in Denton, live in Saginaw about 45/30 minutes south. And for those outside Texas, yes, we measure distance in time, not miles
To be fair, a lot of Minnesotans do it also.
Actually Seth, a lot of people do like the war stories...there are a lot of channels that do just that. And to be honest, you have included some in the past to make a point. We do like hearing them. On the other hand, I get that you don't want that to become the main focus, and I agree. It would make you too much like too many other channels.
You're awesome the way you are. Keep up the excellent work!
Playing SLA Industries, and the GM scrambled to to name two companies which were having a corporate war, and all he could come up with was Lego and Tonka.
So our operatives were hired by Lego to perform a corporate strike on Tonka and take out one of their chief executives. Was amusing to think of two toy companies acting like any other corporations in a cyberpunk setting, kidnapping and sabotaging each others businesses.
This might need an update to say that Scott Brown does know about this incident now 😂
Probably so.
I agree that often listening to accounts of games can get very boring. But you have a great ability to hold an audience, and an equally great sense of delivery
I have watched this video 5 times already and still loving it!
Even better than Bonesaw (which is totally making an appearance in my next campaign).
I've watched this multiple times, and It gets better each time
Awesome story Seth. Great stuff.
Heres mine : Best player-generated name for an enchanted bone cane I created as a GM to open a magic door :
The gnarled pimp cane of ho-slappin' , +1.
My players later sold this single-purpose (worthless) item to a vendor for an absurd amount of money thanks to successful rolls. Thinking of having some shirts made up for it. Heh heh.
OMFG. I started losing it the moment the real estate agent started laying into the homeless people with the taser baton. Love the way it came full circle in a later game and the shirt is awesome. One of the best "War Stories" I've heard.
I've got to include Scott Brown in my games - I think it's time they went international :D
Reminds me of my Spycraft team's "underwater murder-clown" story from years ago. One of those things we still bring up every now and then. It's always good to have running jokes in your RPG groups. heh
underwater murder clown is that story you want to know but knowing it would take away the magic
Daisyhead It's short, at least. Lol Ok, so a buddy of mine is running a Spycraft 1st edition game years ago set in the 80's. We end up on a mission where we need to infiltrate an underwater base run by your typical Bond villain. We had been using a Ford Bronco throughout the entire campaign up to this point, and it was practically a member of the party, and we wanted to bring it with us again... underwater. Well, Spycraft had a module for vehicles that makes them submersible you see. We needed to use absolute stealth though, and couldn't just blast our way in, so we hatched a plan. We made the Bronco submersible, took our usual gear, and put on our clown costumes. Yes, our clown costumes we had put together. Had a plane drop us off in the middle of the ocean, and drove straight towards the facility. You see, we needed the clown costumes because we knew the base had windows looking out into the ocean, and were worried we would be spotted by wandering guards and what not. We knew if they spotted 4 secret agents in a submersible vehicle the alarm would be sounded, and our goose would be cooked. So, without even trying to hide our approach, we drove straight to an airlock we could use dressed up in our clown costumes, waving our combat knives around in front of the widows covered in fake blood, smiling like maniacs. Acting exactly like a group of murder-clowns. And you know what? Damn thing worked. Any guard who spotted us botched his roll, thinking they had simply gone mad and was seeing something utterly impossible. The rest of the mission did not go smoothly, but by god we got in like a demon's whisper.
that is amazing, holy shit
Daisyhead lmao By all rights, that should NOT have worked, but we were daring, bold, and a little suicidal, and just that one time we got away with it.
Ha! XD
This was in no way boring at all! Probably the best thing I've seen all week!
i love your videos dude! been taking into account all your tips and recommendations!
also, please more of this!!!
Yeah, totally. Seth's b-roll and onscreen characters are top-notch. Love that crap. 😀
those black and white skits replenish my life force
Great story! I actually introduced my Pathfinder group to your channel with this one.
We were doing an RP-heavy session where my Dwarf Cleric went on a date with a barmaid from the group's favorite tavern, and our DM had to come up with a name for a popular high-end restaurant on the fly (my Cleric's no cheapskate) and he came up with the Cheese Forge, a fancy fondue place. Naturally, the entire group loved this name so much that we were instantly gushing about it and cracking jokes, saying we wanted Cheese Forge T-shirts. This immediately reminded me of your Scott Brown shirt and I shared the video with the group (on a break; I'm not enough of a monster to disrupt a great RP session to share a RUclips video), and everyone loved it. So, if you picked up another 3 subscribers about a year ago, that might have been me, lol.
Incidentally, the date went great. My Cleric's now engaged to the barmaid with a kid on the way. She's actually a member of a wealthy, prestigious clan of Dwarves (they own the Inn in question and want to make sure their kids know the value of a hard day's work), so he's marrying up. And she's a skilled Fighter with high end equipment (rich girl) and essentially invincible while she's pregnant with this child (long story) so she joins us as an NPC ally on our quests. So take pride in knowing you're part of that success story, Seth!
Okay, so now I have to include a Scott Brown real estate agency in my Call of Cthulhu campaign. ;)
Will you put it on RUclips?
It would be a decent cover for a paranormal investigation group, like a pre-cursor to Delta Green. Depending on the time period you are running, of course.
I find that some of the best and most memorable RPG moments are often those that hit you out of left field. I love this! Great story!
