I remember the first time we took a pig to slaughter after raising it in my neighbors back yard. We used wood fence panels in the back of his pu truck and built a ramp... It was a complete cluster....lol...the next time we borrowed a horse trailer...that looks like it should work pretty well
looks like a great job! Thinking about the weight of pigs ready for slaughter, I would be interested in if they slide around on that trailer and crash into the sides in transit at all. For this year, because we only have 1 pig (our first test), I am thinking of using a small U-Haul trailer for $20. Or I could leesh it up and walk it the 4 miles to the slaughter house - LOL.
i like cheap and easy i have a boat trailer that i paid very little for that i put a floor in and it will be are livestock trailer also. having a live stock trailer for a couple of hundred dollar cant beat that more money in the pocket
Good thinking ty.
Good for you on not being "that guy" who wears out an invitation too👍🏼
Put a roof on it, goats and sheep could clear that without all the rungs to help them climb, cattle also can jump this even if calves.....
Great idea! We will be doing something similar. Would love an update on how this worked for pigs and did you end up hauling sheep in it? Thanks!
I still want to know where y'all are getting cattle panel for 20 bucks!
Tractor supply
midsouth $15 for 16ft

Would have been nicer if you built a frame and dropped the panels inside but hey it looks like it will work.

Good idea. Maybe a bit of something around the bottom to keep a pigs foot from slipping through the cattle panel, maybe. Thanks
