Good find. These can be nightmares to troubleshoot and find.....sometimes there's just no way to find the briken wire and have to iverlay a new wire to get the job done. Bravo !

In the LHS of these vehicles there's something convered in a foam like material. What's inside the foam? I see it's been removed in this video! I need to move this component as it is in your video to get to my MMI radio module as I believe it has become water damaged... How difficult is it to remove without taking out the boot cards? Any help appreciated!
Aye you based? How much would a repair like this cost? I have a lot of water ingress in both sides of my A5, it has damaged the Electronic Dampening Control module, but the problem has been there for probably 1 year+ at least so I'm expecting some more issues honestly... If the price is right you may be the folks to check out the looms and electrical components back there, as there's so much green corrosion on the loo I'm sure something is close to failure...
Hope you can respond to this. Just wondering if you ever had to re-install those emergency yellow levers to open the top manually. Could not find videos on how to install those back.
Not sure if you’ll reply to this. But I have a fault with my convertible but it when I press the button to lower windows lower but nothing else happens. The dash flashes saying roof unable to be used. Have had it checked at an Audi approved garage but no fault were found. So I’m thinking it could be something simple
Hello, Just because there are no static codes stored inside the controller does not mean there is not an issue, you need someone to check the live data inside the controller and see what is the lockout stop in the roof Whereabouts are you based? Regards Team VagPro
I have the same model of A5 and have no coms with roof unit. Finding it hard to get wiring diagram! I’m sure mine is water ingress and have changed the unit to eliminate that but will no joy. I need to know what power connections are as only have the main large cable live to unit and earth.

@@CabrioletTech Have you ever seen error "soft top storage box not lowered. Please remove obstacle" please. Been getting this error over the past few weeks, there is also nothing in the boot and the soft top bar does drop as it should.
