Hi, yes the caravan park on the news was just a few miles along the same stretch of coast. We are all OK and good. Thankfully we have a sand Bank protecting us.
Wow… it’s pretty bleak..we heard jersey had over 100 mph winds today so it’s really taking it hard… it’s certainly breezy where you are too… take care mate 👍🏻👍🏻

Big waves, especially with how high Chesil Beach is. Hope it's died down a bit now. I hate it when it's windy and we're in the motorhome cos it feels like you're going to get blown over. Not surprised some of them have left the site, especially in a caravan.
Thanks yes its definitely died down now! Some of those that left were in motorhomes. One caravan awning was down and that was this morning before winds picked back up again! Did you see that vid I've shared on community?
Ah mate it’s lashing it down now and wind has really picked up. Jersey has recorded 104mph winds. Channel Islands and northern France are really getting hit hard. Brittany France 110mph recorded, We have red warnings and Major incident declared on south coast. We have been lucky tbh compared to some areas!
Sooo.... its a bit draughty then... I got woke up in the early hours with rain hammering on the caravan roof here but, wind wise it's not so bad, loads of rubbish washed up on the beach though.....
Soon as I got back to the caravan this morning it started lashing it down and winds have really picked up! Hopefully it will be passed it’s worst by tea time
Yeah the caravans are ok mate. Set back from the sea and raised up. I’ve actually been reading about a campsite we stayed in France this year was evacuated because of the high winds and trees.
