I wish I have this Top Gear. It's basically part 2 and F-Zero merged together. Ironic that the gameplay speed isn't supersonic like F-Zero but the graphical sense of speed outclassed it!

This game has a strange mystique to it for me. As a kid, trawling the internet for roms, Top Gear 3000 was the only one of the trilogy that would not play on ZSNES. It would hang when I tried to start the first race. Emulation is a lot better now (though I do really miss how slick ZSNES's UI was), so I ought to finally go back and play this one.

Within hearing the first few seconds of the intro music, I was already hit me with a massive dose of nostalgia. Hell of a drug. Instantly took me back to all the hours playing this with my brother decades ago. Warm and bittersweet memories
Where do you come from? I see a lot of people speaking portuguese but I'm not sure if those come from Brazil or Portugal, I'm curious about that. I'm from Colombia, I just speak spanish and english, I played this game around 1995, I was 13 at that time, and I have to say that this game was ahead of any other's, it felt so advanced, controls, graphics, music, art, color temperature, everything. Just the fact that I can see my whole name before the race starts was so impressive to me, I know this is a small fact but no game at that time let you customize anything.
It is pretty amazing that the organizers create a supernova in order to tell everyone that the race is starting. I hope the organizers don't do this to Sol in the year 3000!
Está faltando um jogo atual com essa temática de corrida em planetas e tals, sei que tem o horizon chase mas esse é mais inspirado no top gear 1 e 2 mesmo que as corridas são normais na terra, imagina as possibilidades hoje em dia com os hardwares de hoje.

I don't know if anyone feels the same as I do, but just before the ending credits, that was all the Car Race Champion was getting? A quick abduction by some alien to be held without reason?! It must have been a Ruse all along, just to be abducted by Aliens. This might be an example of why a person can't be too careful.
You would think that they had developed something better than combustion engines after a couple of races. Even if this race is using present day technology and it's set in the relatively near future, say 2200 for arguments sake, that means the last race was in 1200. That would have been horses.

What’s weird is that you brought up that you don’t know how to get secret B. Apparently no one does. Some believe it’s completely random when the game gives it to you. While others believe it was not programmed in properly. Apparently it’s complete impossible on emulators and some copies of the games
So there were 47 tracks in the game... the 48th track was Ipmese that never made the final copy. Also there was another item that never made it either... and it was called "White Out"

I prefer these racing games without the mode7 track. Faster and more depth with hills. Mode 7 is better for the decorative cutscenes. Really cool game. Great feel. I like it better than the 1st 2.
Nice game. The white out upgrade requires an external cheat code (game genie) and using a specific emulator to do that. Getting the white out sprites is enough.

This game is so underlooked, it's ridiculous. One of my favorite SNES games. Then again, Aladdin and Bubsy are on my favorites list too.

To até com vergonha, perdi na ultima corrida e cheguei até ela batendo em tudo que tinha na frente.
A partir dos 23:00 ele começa a bater.
Pra não bater em nada por 3h, só se fosse asiático.
No Hard nem é tão difícil assim não bater em nenhum carro, o problema é no Easy com os carros ridiculamente lentos que praticamente 'spawnam'.
