The girl was determined not to make a mistake and showed the adults how to behave towards the horse and the guard. One does not know how horses react in general and one can't judge this well. That's why I have reservations about approaching the horse or standing next to it. I find a picture of the horse and the guard okay and I show both my respect and don't show any silly behaviour. The same applies to me when a guard is present without a horse. Just a picture of him without me standing by his side. In this way I pay my respect to the Guard and don't take away his dignity.

That little wave from the young girl probably spoke more volumes than the trooper had heard all day, how people can walk up to these guards have photos taken and not a single word of thanks beggars belief, where else in the world could you do that? Well done young lady that trooper will remember that for a very long time to come, so beautiful to see after all the ungrateful people that had been before you. I really hope that of all the people visiting on that day, you got a photo that you can remember and look back on with fondness for the rest of your life. Hope you are telling all your friends the soldier waved back when you waved to him, he is a true trooper and you are a fine young lady.
There is some of the quards do wave back or they nod there heads or give big smile if you look at a lot of the vidio u can see but they do have to concentrate on there Job as well there always watching and on a learnt good job what they all do respect to all ❤😁🙏

All the King's Guard AND their magnificent horses are so extremely tolerant as they perform their daily duty at the Gates. This Guard's everr so slight gesture of a wave back to that little sweetheart even made my day watching it.

The horse guards are often kind, if you treat them and their horse with respect they often respond with a quiet word like its ok to stroke the horse just don't touch the reigns etc., or a little nod yes it's OK etc. It's alas the few idiots that grab the reigns etc. Who spoil it for the others.
I feel conflicted with people posing and taking pictures of someone doing their job. I sure as heck wouldn't like some random stranger coming next to me while I'm working, posing, and then taking a picture. On another note . . . . I wonder if there is enough King's Guard to make a pinup calendar? I wonder how the King's Guard will react if you took pictures of them like you guys are at a photo shoot? 🤔 Now I'm 1000% curious.

They don't stand there the whole day, they stand there for 1 hour, then they change, it would be too dangerous to stand the whole day, for the guard and the horse.
