This guy is a freakin' legend - so much great music - I too don't understand why he wasn't bigger than his one hit.

The music business can be very unfair. Lee Michaels should definitely be better known these days.

I found the center of this in an alley way in Tempe looking for citrus fruit. Thank god I remembered the name of it this morning!! Short, sweet, hard to beat, and it all grooves!!! Where has this been all my life?

True. Unfortunately he seemed overlooked and largely forgotten these days.
I've been meaning to post some more Lee Michaels but just haven't got around to it.

classic rock stations need to go all request. some of the stuff the DJ's play has to be a list of approved or something. You would think Zep only made 3 songs and artists like this guy never existed!

I heard (from a trusted source) that Lee Michaels lost interest in his music years ago. And, he was not at all interested in making a comeback. Lee and his sons own (or owned) a restaurant called Killer Shrimp in California. But this is some years ago. He does (or did) pop up once in a great while. It seems to me that Lee has withdrawn himself from society. It's such a shame because he's so talented! Someone ought to make a documentary or movie about this enigmatic MUSICAL GENIUS.

All true apparently. I read somewhere that he no longer performs because he is deaf.

@@marksmusiccollection8373 Oh wow! This is very sad news. This is a new one on me! And I read Frosty died of a heart attack within the last several years. I had also learned that Lee and Frosty had a falling out years ago due to Frosty's drug arrest. So much sad news to bear... It really weighs me down. Thanks and take care, bud!
