Brilliant musicians, great harmonies. They deserve to be known for more than their one glorious hit.

Mark: David's Obit appeared today and I was sending it to some old timers like me, for the memories. Saw them down in ATL for a show in '71 and the year before at the ATL Pop Festival in Byron, GA. Absolutely LOVED this album and went looking for "Going to Another Party" here on You Tube - as David Gregory their guitarist at the time was totally ass shredding on this song, as well as Good Lovin. Adored the modality changes of The Grand Camel Suite. So THANK YOU SIR! for posting it up here. I have the album but have not converted it to digital. Patti Santos was a TORCH singer, with a husky soul/blues voice that could also reach the higher registers. So lucky to have been ALIVE during the 1964 - 1976 ascension of rock music, and to have seen soooo many groups.

In the late 1960s, when "underground FM radio" first came to Philadelphia (WMMR), "White Bird" is the song I best remember. I was barely a teenager and my grandmother, who had an FM radio in her car, let me in charge of the music.

White Bird is definitely the best known track by It's A Beautiful Day.
The studio version is better known than this live version. I've also uploaded the It's A Beautiful Day album which has the studio version of White Bird.

@@ricklochead1032 I was lucky to see David Laflamme and Band in the mid 1980's, before Patty Santos died, at the University of Utah and of many, many concerts I've seen, this was the concert I've seen! David had a blue plexiglass violin and the band was top notch. To top everything off, the concert was held indoors at the Union ballroom!

Thanks for putting this on here! I LOVE the eclectic, totally GROOVY, dreamin' 'n' rockin' sound of IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY"!!!
After falling in love with their mellow sound it's a nice jump to their rockin' groove too!
I had the experience of discovering that they were on various sites on line a few years ago and was in a time when I needed cash so I figured ..."Hey I've got them available on line...I'll sell my cd's" ! So I did.
Three weeks later ZAP! They disappeared from my Spotify lists (except for some bad quality live tunes) and were gone from most other sites too.
I learned the hard lesson that music sites are fickle . they can change at any time, KEEP YOUR FAVORITE CD'S JUST IN CASE!
I have not heard this album at all before,so I'm diggin' just trippin' 'round my abode in a rockin', Hippie swirl dream state of mind!
Maybe , at 73, I'll get that first Acid Flashback that I've never had! lol
Either way I'm Groovin' on a fine contact high with the music that you've provided here.
    The Hippies were right!
Organic food, Windmills & Solar, Groovy vibes, Peace Love & Rockin' ,Trippin' Tunes!!!

The live album should have been the 1969-1970 band. By the time this recording was done, the band wasn't the same. It was too late by 1972. They speed freaked all of their songs. Better to seek the live recordings of 1968 to 1971.
