Interesting comment about the I.C. engine coming to dominate and push the old steam technology into history. Makes me wonder if there's a pattern i.e.- 19th century: steam technology pushes sail aside & comes to dominate. 20th century: I.C. engine pushes steam aside & comes to dominate. 21st century. Electric power pushes I.C. technology aside & comes to dominate.
Just a theory, if we could make a lot of steam with the sun energy or water energy from low and high tides, would be a big progress i think. But what is for me always strange, why we don't use more the warmth of our planet? You drill 100 meters deep, circulate a substance in pipes to it , built in a heat exchanger and you can heat a house. The small pump is running on sun energy and the shit is heated. The biggest problem the batteries to store electric energy when there is not much sun light in the cold countrie, and..... our politicians....
Geo-thermal power. It has been done, but it isn't as easy as it sounds. Drilling down far enough is one issue, the second is the issue of stability. Improper drilling can cause earthquakes and then the issue of various acidic chemicals eating pipes is another problem.
Fred Dibnah sure was right when he said that modern-tech lacks the romantics of old school steam powered tech!
They did a wheely good job on this steam car.
knock on the door at Buck House for assistance. With Phil as Riff Raff and Liz as Magenta. "So you got stuck with a flat, well how bout that."
12:05 so why would Dr. Bob modify the car in such a way? Was the body wonky so he put in the wider rails? I’m genuinely confused.

2:45 Not sure about that See "QI | Waving Red Flags In Front Of Cars" on youtube somewhere
Would be nice to put an F! engine in that chassis ( lol ) Going fast for a short time then...(smile)
