I have Stirling, but opened Monzo a couple of hours ago - that way i can compare both. Just out of interest - Does applying for a bank account affect you credit rating?
Im currently using Monzo and im on the 4.10 percent however it dosont tell me what the limit is becase the percentage is decreased can someone help please?
Great account. I've been using them for a few years how and very happy. Edit: just to clarify, i use this as my main account, because of all the features, not for the interest rates.
I disagree - they are both great and very similar, but the main selling point for me is that you can view your monzo account online (albeit with limited access). I lost my phone a while back and while I was waiting for my insurance to get sorted and a new phone to arrive, I had absolutely no oversight of my account. Apart from that I’ve not found any real advantages or disadvantages to either - I do use both though for different purposes 😊 also monzo was the original and starling copied them, so I feel loyalty to monzo to keep it as my main account haha!
@@tomp4356 Monzo started in 2015, starling was 2014. I’ve had Monzo and switched to starling due to it being voted best UK bank for 3yrs in a row. But I agree, both are extremely similar or if not, then the same. Starling has a good customer service was another reason why I switched

Do you recommend putting all my savings into an interest pot?
what about the interest rate? for savings pot. how long does it take?
I got scared by the amount of data IFTT was asking for with this integration. Can anyone reassure me?
Got confused and came here, the Monzo advert told me to use the website and that seemed like with cookies etc would be more hassle
